I think you are being unbelievably harsh on Hagi. It was a unfortunate tackle, he stupidly stuck his leg out, it was not meant malevolently

Kenny Park

Dessers. We are laughing at ourselves when we laugh about him. It’s a shame because I kinda like him but it’s not good enough.

Andrew Meldrum

Think it's unfair to say that Hagi shouldn't be picked if he is rusty but give Igamane a bye as he is rusty. But what I really wanted to say is that Butland's diving header shouldn't have been needed. It was offside but the flag went up afterwards. Total bugbear of mine that flags go up late nowadays. The St Johnstone player needed treatment after Jack took him out. So a player almost got injured when the whistle should already have gone.

Stewart Robertson

Glad to see Hagi back. The whole debacle brought shame on our club.

The positives were another excellent outing for Jefte, Propper and Souttar getting more time to gel and looking decent and Bajrami continuing to look better game on game. The issues for me remain in the set up and structure. I don’t think it’s coincidence that the much lauded Igmane didn’t do much when he came on as he was isolated and didn’t get service, something Dessers has most games but gets slated for. McAusland and Cherny just aren’t good enough and as I mentioned elsewhere having a winger focused system in this league is baffling, add in our quality of winger is poor and it’s madness to be wedded to a system that fails to provide consistent, quality chances to the striker. Having two. Up front in the box in Scotland to me is non negotiable and the Frankenstein teams we put out to get Phil his width don’t impress. Raskin for me was quite wasteful in possession again and started to get annoyed either himself after about 4 loose passes second half. Barron is a far better guy at playing the right ball, but the bigger worry is Dio. I like Diomande, like his attitude and effort but he seems to be suffering from the classic Rangers issue of coming in all action and getting stifled. I know the podders talked around coaching but what are we actually doing to develop guys? We watch them come in, be absorbed into our slow plodding and lose all the spark that impressed us to sign them. We need to be far far better at brining players on, currently it seems very ad hoc, very player driven as to how they kick on and I’m not seeing guys being improved to play our style. Perhaps that goes back to this system not being very suited to Scotland. Despite our possession and shots stats we didn’t really carve them open or run over them and that has to be a concern. In a game we were so dominant we need more on target and more action in the box. As the podders said it would be easy to trot out the turned a corner, answered his critics stuff with Cherny but I totally agree with their assessment, he scored two goals but was otherwise really poor. Absolutely happy with the points and clean sheet but concerns remain around where we are headed and the players we have to get us there.

Kris Hendry

Hagi rusty = shouldn’t play. Igamane sluggish = that’s ok he’s rusty. Makes no sense. Also, Dessers was clearly pissed he was being subbed having not scored, annoyed with himself. Raskin MOTM?? He was shite. He is shite

James Paterson

Wouldn't want to have heard the guys if we had lost

KennyY

The main positive from tonight is that we don’t have to see Hagi again for a couple of weeks. You wouldn’t have known he was playing if he didn’t get sent off.

Andy sawers

The ref tonight was the fourth official that apparently smiled at Clement during celtics "patterns of assistance" pish last season that had people like sutton and mick kennedy dog whistling, not saying this is why he's a pish ref but maybe he's not wanting the microscope treatment like John Beaton.

KennyY

He didn’t want to play for us in the summer and now he’s the messiah. He’s absolute dross

Chris Graham 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The manager has been here a full year I see nothing but regression and patchwork repairs all over the park No pace or intensity in our play and something I don’t get from the manager that should feed into the players is aggression If a team scores first against us we are in for a long night as we don’t have the anger and balls to dust it off grit the teeth and go and get back in and get infront in games

Simon H&H

He was under the microscope as they found the pictures from a few years ago from his time at a certain establishment in Renfrew. He’s been hesitant to give us anything ever since really.

Simon Botterill

It was careless not reckless. Contact position was the only marker for the red, not any other IFAB checklist items. Hibs player the other week used excessive force, he survived on contact. The use of slow motion is incorrectly administered in VAR.

Nikky Cairney

Classic Cammy having a go at Cerny for holding up play and not driving forward. He literally played it inside, the ball made its way to Hagi,, who then found Cerny in the box and scored.

Tolmie

Where is Danilo, we were told 3 weeks.

Martin Boyd

The one near the end had me laughing. He mentioned Clemant saying you would not see the best of this team until Oct/Nov, Cammy where is it ?, 6th Oct 😂 I actually thought we have seen the best this team can do away in Malmo that is about it until we get a speedy winger and a striker.

Hendi

Jefte not an upgrade on Barisic? Proper not an upgrade on Davies? Cerny not an upgrade on Wright? Barron not an upgrade on Jack and Lundstram? Bajrami not an upgrade on Silva or Cantwell? The wage bill not been significantly reduced? The recruitment approach not been upgraded? How can you call young players with potential for growth "patch work repairs "? They're anything but.

Simon H&H

We’ve downsized massively. In terms of the starting replacements that’s for sure. The players you’ve mentioned in the main were squad players as such. Even then, the ones starting last season were still miles off the quality required. Barron is a rare shining light. And he was a Bosman. We are devoid of starting 11 quality all over the park.

Craig Murray

Honestly guys you talk some garbage sometimes, you want to see tav further forward ?? his legs are gone, and cammy wow you must be some laugh to sit beside , you actually questioned if hagi meant to do the saints player, dont be ridiculous , he was being overeager trying to impress.

Doug Young

I normally can't wait for the car pod but after listening to the first five or six minutes and reading the comments, I think I'll give this one a miss. I want to just enjoy the result and the positives and not lament the lack of quality and berate the players. I thought Raskin played well, considering his first 90 minutes in a long time. Cerny gets two goals and is still "poor"? Bloke hasn't got a chance, has her? Hagi was always available and a great assist- just over-eager on the red card. Considering we talk constantly about lack of drive and energy, Hagi does always look to get the ball and do something positive. I like Barron but we are turning him into some kind of new Fergie when he is still very raw and has a lot to learn. Nana looks absolute class and should be starting definitely. Just taking this as another step in the gelling of the team and hoping we move forward.

Fraser Wells

I cringed when I heard the cheer Hagi got at halftime and for the first 5 mins of the second half whenever he touched the ball. A player to publicly wanted away and the only reason he’s here is no other club are daft enough to buy him. Absolute mediocre footballer with a famous prick of a dad.

David MacT

Well said, Hendi. This pod, and the subsequent comments are just childish. 5 wins from 6 with 5 clean sheets since Parkhead is exactly the type of reaction we were all looking for. Listening to a couple of the guys on this pod would have you think we've just won our first game this month. Really weird.

Bob MacCallum

Of course Hagi didn't mean to catch the guy. Didn't think that at the time ( I'm on halfway line if SJ) having now seen it on tv, Hagi slips as he changes direction and by the time he stretches out the offending leg, he's practically doing the splits! Unlucky where his foot caught the guy. Red card though. If Cammy obviously can't stand Hagi, I hate to think how he feels about Dowell.

The fans are shattered Davy It’s where disagreements come from mate as am sure your well aware The fans base is so fractured in and agreement because emotion has took over now and this isn’t just a current issue It’s being able to swallow and move on from the last 3 seasons I am really struggling with . The continual neglect and mismanagement and a think what we can all agree on just like when Gerrard first pitched up is we all want visible evidence that progress can be seen and that things are clicking , the work rate the passing Things joining up Transition or not for a large section of the support now that’s what we are struggling with mate The teams not enjoyable and it’s not making shapes you can point at and go OH AYE A SEE NOW , THATS WHAT WE ATE DOING 👍🏼

Ranger1972

What Cameron James Bell knows about football could be written on the back of a stamp.

Hendi

Are you expecting us to improve immediately when trying to reduce our wage bill? We are trying to build for the longer term, not the immediate term. How is this news to anyone?

Ryan Brown

So even though the manager clearly stated Barron was rested, Simon choses to ignore this and state he is unhappy about him being “dropped.” Perfect example of a section of our support at the minute who are that desperate to moan, they even resort to creating their own realities. Bizarre.

David MacT

Think a lot of our fans need to put on their big boy pants and realise the development of this team isn't going to happen in one window and 2 months into the season. It does seem mostly an online thing as in normal day to day life, speaking to mates, bears in the pub last night etc, the last month has been good. The only negative is we lost to Lyon. One look online though, and this odd carpod as well (which is usually something I enjoy on here) shows some people didn't listen to what the manager was saying all summer about this just being the start. Too many can't quite grasp that this will take more than a few months. I thought our fans would embrace this massive change in the team/squad. Unfortunately too many either don't, or refuse, to understand that it wasn't going to be perfect after 8/9 weeks.

Graeme Guthrie

The manager has been here a year and we haven't improved. New signings aren't better than the dross that left, and even some of our promising players like Raskin and Sterling have gone backwards. Cerny did well to score 2, but we don't need a player that only turns up against teams like St Johnston

Chris Graham 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A think some of the basics are massively missing just now mate which isn’t to do with up sizing or downsizing Fundamentals Aggression , passing , running , showing , touch , Professionals that play for us surly should have some of these as a given Some of the ball retention and passing at times is really really poor

David MacT

You don't keep 5 clean sheets out of 6 and be the first team to win in Sweden in the clubs historyl if your aren't doing the fundamentals.

Ross Whitehead

This carpod missed Strider for a bit of balance. The three podders just fed off each others negativity. Some of the comments are absolutely laughable.

Kev Armstrong

Longer term the manager won’t be here. A Rangers managers only aim should be winning now. Rangers are a win now club. Other people should worry about longer term. Wage bill was always going to reduce with not detriment to the squad with the sick notes leaving (Jack and Roofe)

Adam Copeland

We are a team of cobbled together decent to good footballers but very risk adverse and a bit uninspiring, Jefte aside and hopefully Bajrami (although he wasn't great in his preferred position tonight) settles more. Two or three real quality additions could make a big difference. Scouting team better be working hard. No.6, RW and another CF at a minimum. A pacier CB would be good.

Doogz

That’s a nonsense Raskin had a decent game good to see him getting 90 minutes under his belt. Cammy is quite right to criticise the performance of some, seems some want him to sugarcoat things and pretend the performance was brilliant.

David MacT

You ever thought he might be building the foundations to see us back to a winning club? Too many fans like yourself can't see the woods for the tress unfortunately.

Kris Hendry

Raskin is not good enough. And no one’s asking for things to be sugar coated (not sure why you’ve even made that comment on mine) but to say he can use the rusty excuse but he can’t is hardly balanced

Stewart Robertson

If we agreed terms with him, we are obliged to honour them. We are supposed to be an institution, who act with integrity and class.

William Mcdonald

Raskin had a good 70 mins after a quiet 20, not even a mention lads

Hendi

It's only being concerned with "winning now" that means we've shovelled millions in to the pockets or of shite. It's the reason we are now in the current situation!

John Palmer

Brilliant to see Hagi back. He looked OK and I felt sorry for him when he got sent off, it was a bad tackle but it did break of lack of game time. I hope he just gets hos head down, trains hard and comes back in more up to speed and on it.

John Palmer

Agree on the Ref, he was absolutely Garbage and had no idea. The way he ref's wouldn't even be accepted in Junior Football

Darren Littlejohn

Why does the manager keep with this idea of a winger on the other wing to that they are suited? Would be good to see them taking on a defender on their correct foot

Kev Armstrong

No that’s poor recruitment. Look across the city, not all their deals are 1.5 mill to be sold for 25mill. A good amount are buy for 2mill sell for 4mill. We have a perfect storm of poor recruitment, inability to keep players fit and paying too much in wages.

Hendi

Which are all now being addressed. How quickly you expecting to see results?

Kev Armstrong

I’ll let you answer that question first. What you expecting this season? What would you say is an acceptable season?
