Never has a donor kebab sounded so exotic. Have you tried the dough nair kebab sir? 😂😂

John Smith

It was a total slap in the face to the fans of the first movie

Had fish n chips so far, gonna get torn into lobster tomorrow. I got a list of restaurant recommendations of a nice guy on the flight. Going to Halifax Mouseheads game Friday, need to read up on hockey rules 😅 Thank you Todd !

Anyone currently panning 'Joker: Folie à Deux' will be on the wrong side of (film) history...and possibly history in general. It happened with 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' and looks like a similar fan backlash. No one is going to convince the haters to suddenly like it, but I felt I had to jump in as I have occasionally stepped in cinematic dogshit and this most certainly isn't it. A genuinely challenging, rewarding and moving film imho. As for not being able to get over Jaoquin Phoenix in roles, I reckon we all have actors like that. Whenever I see Russell Crowe in a film, I want to punch Russell Crowe in real life. It happens. Phoenix was great in Joker, Folie à Deux, I Walk the Line, You Were Never Really Here, Inherent Vice, Her and many others. My defensiveness may arise from him getting a kicking on your show minutes after Charlie Sheen was lauded for being unable to act. You can rest assured this is not the end of this matter as I will be writing to my MP. Yours in highest dudgeon.

Maybe Kev’s favourite ever Rangers player is Jason Cummings?

Firstly, congrats on the correct methodology for rendering complaints. 'Shall be writing to my MP' is what made Britain great. As for JP, I do think he's incredibly talented, he just leaves me a bit cold. And I love Charlie Sheen! Please don't misunderstand, I just think he gives great cool movie star. That's what I'm after from my leaing men!

Had to skip the GOT part as currently watching it although now my expectations are very much lower a bit like after watching the first old firm game this season! My other half was also listening and thinks David is very opinionated 😂 and Todd sounds like the guy from married at first sight?! No idea who he is but I would assume it’s an insult?! And Johnny depp was that not the death that Freddy says something about a wet dream as he dies in a water bed?

Talking about Tobacco sponsors…. I remember in Primary School on a test we had to complete what various abbreviations were…. For example Dr = Doctor PM=Prime minster etc (you get the picture). Well next to “JP” I put John Players 🏎️ instead of Justice of the Peace🤣 Not sure how that sticks in my mind, but every time the chat about gambling and booze sponsors comes up ….. this springs back to mind 🤣🤣🤣

In all honesty one of the many things I enjoy about the TAD show is the safe space for outrageous posturing, some of which is sincere, some maybe for shit and much appreciated giggles. I was in no way 'triggered' to use the modern jargon. I just think JFAD is a great film, but it's getting a kicking at the moment from all and sundry and when that happens in an influential podcast I try and stick my oar in to defend what I love so maybe one or two people may more may see it. We've all done it for bands, films etc and I genuinely believe in 10 years time, once the dust has settled, this is destined for reappraisal. I know H&H is a pretty civilised environment but look forward to being further outraged by the DAT show in the future. Also actors are funny. I really buy JP's performances but find Crowe distracting/a throbber, so I understand the reaction. I also like Charlie Sheen. Anyhoo, thanks for the response and keep on truckin'.

Haha yes absolutely, and always remember: I know absolutely nothing about what makes a good movie. I prefer Naked Gun to Chinatwon for goodness sake :-)

Fair play on refusing to read the blurb from Manscaped ads. Like Jim Cornette where he goes off on a random tangent and then defaults back to the product. Works for him, but he could make reading the phone book entertaining.
