When Pep leaves Man City, do they fall off a cliff like Man Utd? Do Everton survive a relegation?

John Smith

If Ange was put in charge of Man City for example, do you think he would romp it ? If he got the United job how would you see that turning out ?

John Smith

I’ve also got to get you guys thoughts on Dana White’s comments about “soccer”. Heartbreaking for me cause I’m a massive fan of his

In recent years there was always the chat that the top 5 clubs were miles ahead of the rest and then you had the opposite at the bottom 5. However there has been a shift in the top 2 possibly Liverpool as a 3rd option now being miles ahead and anyone from 4th downwards there isn’t a huge gap between the sides. Have Man City and Arsenal increased the gap or have the rest just got worse/ better to reach even ground?

I don’t think so even with the increased ability several teams in the PL are able to compete against relatively simple tactics. If it was just ability or cost of squad then spurs would trounce half the teams in that league every week

He’s a decent manager but when playing against the same level or better players he is found out.

John Smith

Yeah I think so Graham. I think he’s a manager that will probably always get work regardless of success

Can see him floating about for the next few years with the odd success and failure

He’s a fight promoter, they are scumbags. It’s a scumbag profession. He’s very good at it but he talks out his arse a lot and I say that as someone who admires his achievement with UFC.

With Salah, Van Dijk and Trent all out of contract. Salah and Van Dijk linked with Saudi, Trent with Madrid So any of them stay? Or can you see a different destination for any of them Would that be the real first test for Slot, as top 4 and champs league latter stages look odds on, but not with his squad. This would be the beginning of his rebuild

I need the hottest of hot takes from all three of you on Souey's bizarre comments about Arsene Wenger

Chris Wight

Question on the Man City charges. The bookies have slashed their odds of being relegated this season down to about 12/1. In comparison Arsenal and Liverpool are 2000/1. In you guys opinion is this just a ploy by the bookies to avoid paying out vast sums of money or is it an indication that relegation is a real and plausible outcome of the charges?

The impression I have - others on here will no far better than I do - is that Manchester City have such a strong infrastructure in place they will be able to cope with Pep’s departure when it comes. Even if he stays a few more years his tenure would still be only a fraction of the length of Ferguson’s across the city.

It’s like a condensed version though, I think. The intensity that Pep brings, does the next manager bring that or is it too big a cloud hanging over the club. Nothing lasts forever. Time will tell, I suppose.

Brian Johnstone

How many managers in the EPL will be sacked this season? I’m suggesting only 5 Ten Haag, Dyche, O’Neill, Martin and between Glasner, Lopetigui and Postecoglu

Willie Gracie

Who will the next England manager be? Will he be English? Would Gerrard be on their list?

mark Fullerton

I still think Arsenal are a centre forwoard away from winning the EPL.I would loved to have seen them sign Victor oshimen in the summer.Do you agree?

Scott Cameron

How does the next England manager fix the problem of so many number 10's and trying to fit them all in? And who would you pick if given the job?
