The wheels were well and truly off by April 2018 for Graeme Murty but his tenure didn't have long to run. Two humiliating Old Firm losses, a public fallout with two players and he was back to the youth team.

Join Dave, Stuart, Rob and David as they look back at the last games of Murty's spell as interim boss.

Forgot about Halliday being subbed with a min left of the 1st half. Mental stuff. Thankfully thats been the last of the nonsense at the Club eh.... Good listen lads 👍

Paper cuts and pate and toast, what a combo 😱😂

Tom McDavid

Managed to last till the final whistle at Parkhead with my son (character building 🙄). As said thank god they stopped playing after an hour.

Agree on the point about does a competent manager get more out this squad. They aren’t winning the league, but just to drop in three scenarios. Losing to Progres. Losing the LC semi to Motherwell. Throwing a lead at home against a 10 man Celtic. I don’t believe those things happen if we have a proper manager in charge of that squad of players

Steve Clark

The only time I have ever left a game v them early was the semi final.i walked out after the fourth goal.

Stewart Thomson

I had at least one offer of a ticket for the Parkhead game, which says it all really and this is still pre the allocations being slashed from the following season. The gubbing we dished out in 1988 is tinged with some regret because it was 5-1 with half an hour left still to play, this was that in reverse for them. We looked like conceding every time they crossed the half way line for a spell. Utterly grim.

David Baillie

Disnae like toast? Well I never. 🤷‍♂️

Christopher McNicol

That game at parkhead is the only time I have left early. Left after the 5th goal and expected it to be a lot more when I got home. Actually managed to get home before the game finished.

Good listen, I still remember watching that Celtic game with my head in my hands, still causes me nightmares

Leaders will take more credit than they deserve and more criticism than they deserve. Good leaders share the credit with those beneath them and take criticism away from those beneath them (at least in public) Murty simply was not cut out for this role, but it’s hard to gauge if he was cut out for any sort of leadership position in any industry.

Calum Downham

Murty probably felt like that because the board stayed silent during the whole debacle. He was the fall guy taking all the flak while the board stayed silent. Can’t remember them making a single statement on the manager situation. It was just a “Murty will do” situation The current custodians must have been taking notes on how to run the club off the board from this season

Don't mind admitting I couldn't even watch the Piggery game - spent it in the garden, maniacally shoveling compost, with the wife periodically shouting the score from the back door. Grim times. Still feel the trauma of those drubbings lingers in the dressing room, even though only Tav remains.

I remember going to that hearts game. Union bears silent protest was really eerie. Had the actual chance to buy a ticket for that parkhead game. Never seen that for an old firm ever, tickets on the website especially away. I remember watching that 5-0 just laughing, repeatedly listening to hoggy coming back from hampden in his motor fuming and it was honestly therapy

Also if there’s an interim show covering may. Then it should be called a nickel for a nicholl

Rob Shorthouse

That's a decent observation, Calum. However, not sure what they could have said that would have helped. What they should have done is take Murty out of the firing line before it got as bad as it did. Christ, we've been through a lot since 2012, huh?!

What he done to Halliday that day was beyond the pale. Listening to them singing his song was fucking horrible for us sitting in the stand, nevermind for Halliday himself.
