At this stage I’m here more for the tunes than the Rangers 🕺🏻

William Hughes

Steve Nicks Edge of Seventeen, what a song.

Graham Roy

I have no issue with the data system my fear is how we use it! If it’s the same people currently analysing it will anything change?

Linda Mackay

Just forced myself to watch the manager's FCSB presser! Excruciating! My oh my what a nightmare we find ourselves in again but I don't think he's going anywhere!

Tamus

Cyriel Dessers and Samh This guy accesentuates my depression and anxiety FFS Rangers Read the Room This is like Bobby Sands doing a Slimfast advert

Scott carson

Our Colin Jackson is sadly no longer with us. We know what you meant! 😳

Alastair Thomson Mills

I started to watch the presser but turned it off. I just can’t be bothered with all the same old that comes out of Clements mouth anymore. I want him gone. Get someone who can take the players we have and set them up properly because he can’t.

Mr Ritchie

Good show today David, a lot of sense talked throughout

KennyY

Fans far too quick to judge. It’s not football manager. Some really embarrassing questions at the presser. Changing managers every year is partly to blame for this shitshow. Need to support the manager and the team while he builds. Sacking Clement isn’t the answer for me. This board isn’t sacking him anyway. He’s just signed a new deal.

Jim Milne

How are the questions embarrassing? 90% of fans want those questions asked. As for being to quick to judge, Clement has the 2nd highest budget in the league and we are joint bottom for goals away from home, play absolute piss poor football, same tactics no matter if players are out of position instead of playing to squads strengths "while in a rebuild". Just because you have a different opinion, which I respect your right to your opinion by the way doesn't mean others opinion hold no strength.

Shona

We're dreadful but great tune 🙌

KennyY

Agree with you Jim and this is only my opinion and absolutely others are entitled to theirs but changing a manager every year isn’t financially sustainable. When does the penny drop that it can’t simply be that every new manager we get isn’t up to the task. There have to be other factors at play.

Vanb bryceter

In isolation your first point is correct. However when there is compelling evidence in the majority of performances since MOTHERWELL last season that the football we play is crap, then those questions are legitimate and deserve to be answered without duplicity. Clement has again done himself no favours with trying to take the piss out of someone who has respectfully questioned his tactics and the teams performances. Thats the only consistent thing that's happened this year

Jim Milne

There are many factors in play, but just because you fired 2 managers before for playing pish football, doesn't mean you shouldn't fire the 3rd. His football is appalling to watch. I'm 5 hours behind in Canada and watch with an RTV sub. I've stayed in my bed for the last 2 games. I don't even want to watch it and if I still had my season ticket I wouldn't be buying Europa packages and wouldn't attend league games and I'm far from the only one that feels this way. I've checked out, and as a fan of over 45 years like many of us who put Rangers first, right now I'm not until things change. His payout is likely 1 year of salary. Probably less than it cost to loan Silva or Cerny. He needs to go and he needs to go now IMO. A couple results even tomorrow won't change that because this team/club has been doing this since 55 & Seville. Couple good games, go on a run and lose to them. I'd have fired him already if it was up to me.

Colin Mathie

Their plane broke down, well if they're not in the country then we should be awarded the 3pts by default lol.

Graeme McLeod

Changing managers every year isn't a recipe for success, but that also doesn't mean the club should double down when it's obvious they've appointed the wrong man. You can both think it's embarrassing that we're in this position but also think Clement isn't the man for the job, as both are symptomatic of how poorly run the club is. But there's bigger issues at the club just now. We need a David Holmes figure in to run the club so we can put a hierarchy and structure in place rather than just going from manager to manager. Until we do that we aren't going to get anything right.

Stewart Robertson

Watched the presser. Non-Rangers fans won’t understand, but we WANT him to succeed. We WANT to be proved wrong. I really hope it comes good.

Corpse Reviver

First daily update I've switched off within 3 minutes after listening to the club-led press release about player analytics. Horse shit. Not your fault H&H reading out what's in the public domain but FUCK ME what a depressing barrel of bollocks. Shite.

Heart and Hand

😂 That’s the thing, I can only tell you the news, not create it! You should fast forward through to B Team bit though. Young Findlay backed up his words!

Willie Gracie

The “out of form” after “shit” was superfluous 😊

Really liked the profile and brief spell we saw from Lovelace. A guy who epitomises what goes wrong when we bring guys to the club, playing well with Millwall, starting to rack up game time then arrives here and goes into the wilderness. Even before his injury he wasn’t getting the game time needed and we won’t attract young talent unless we are showing we will indeed develop it and give it a chance to flourish. Not sure our single striker formation gives the younger guys a chance to bed in or settle as the pressure on whoever wears 9 just now is immense but really hope he starts to get games. Of all the striking options we have he is the guy I like the look of most, more of a British striker with power and a finish. Interested to know who is responsible for the poor off the field match prep, who cut all the staff and tools that we had with Gerrard ? Was it the subsequent coaches or the board ? I would see Gio as being more aligned to Gerrard in terms of big club infrastructure and match prep, Beale to be fair is also brought up in a culture of physio, massage, crypto, specialist coaching and analysis. Would seem strange to me if Clement didn’t want this type of set up, from the outside it seems that this is on the board and potentially part of downsizing ?

Rose Mcloughlin

So pleased to see us supporting to Samh....when I was working as a carer one of my clients was helped brilliantly by them..

Heart and Hand

Hmm - it’s hard to say. SG and team were very much on the details and micromanaging things. Gio was a bit freer and Beale was all over the place

Heart and Hand

But they had DoFs and CEOs. Phil has enough on his plate without having to do things that properly should be getting done by others so I don’t blame him remotely for it.

Spoon

The football infrastructure seems gone now, coaching, analysis, specialist training, conditioning which used to be topics of discussion or even manifest on the park don’t seem to be translating the same. The coaching strategy and format in particular seems dysfunctional or we aren’t seeing the impact (positively) in players for me. I get it’s a perverse thing to say we probably had too much insight with Belae into everything but part of the disconnect at least for me is the lack of real meaningful information about what we are working on, how we are trying to improve and I don’t want Clemente to tell me how far guys are running or what their BMI is but general, we are focusing on shooting, getting the wingers drilled into where to cross from and the type of delivery we expect etc Won’t rehash the last chat but it’s incredible to me there is even a discussion about the team deciding for itself not to make runs or commit forward, especially domestically where we should be more than match one on one with teams defensively if the ball is turned over. I need to see far more collective ownership and commitment to work rate from the whole squad including the coaches to get back some belief this is moving forward and isn’t as many fear stalling or going backwards. It might all be happening behind the curtain but we just don’t feel as professional or elite as we did, some of that is taking it until you make it.

Spoon

I guess what I was asking was did the board downsize it all and impose a smaller set up or was it a choice from managers. I suspected it came from the board / DOF and while I don’t necessarily blame Clement for what he had in house when he came in you would have thought he might have given himself the chance to focus on the football by getting in some coaches for set pieces, conditioning, strikers (although that’s a small training session with one fit!) etc. My clumsy point before was scrabbling towards the point at nothing at the club feels particularly professional or well run before. Gerrard talked about everyone being aligned and he through force of personality seemed to get that. Clement spoke like that initially and his manner seemed similar, professional, calm, cool but steely. He just seems to have lost a lot of that, the club though seems miles off the slickness of the SG set up.

Heart and Hand

I honestly don't think it was a conscious decision to do it. Just decay and nobody there to say 'hold on here'. Nobody has responsibility for it so nobody does it.

Spoon

Take your point. Can’t help but feel it’s no way to have run a football club of our size though bud, we had the blueprint and while the SG set up might have been a bit bloated it felt proper and like we had a plan. Agree it’s not really on any manager but it reiterates how the lack of proper football Director / CEO being in place has been a shocking dereliction of the board. Being a fan might keep us secure in terms of finance and assets to stop charlatans but we still need someone driving us forward from a footballing perspective, so many components of the club not working it’s hard to see what to fix first or prioritise to get some semblance of momentum back.
