That would get football stopped! Look, Hagi isn’t the perfect complete player. However he’s a capable, technical two footed player who can open a defence up with a pass or his own skill. How he’s behind Kieran Dowell in the pecking order is beleaguering. The manager is signing his own death wish with this turgid crap!

It’s three points with a European hangover, and that’s all we should be concerned with. The past week has seen us reach the League Cup Final, pick up a vital point away in Greece where we almost won, and pick up three points three days after travelling back from the Mediterranean. Hearts had no travelling. To do apart from a bus ride from Gorgie Road, so that’s all I needed from today.

Clement seems to be picking players to guarantee we finish third, rather than giving younger prospects a proper chance to develop, shine and improve. I can already hear Clement at the season’s end: “A top three finish is good. It’s not first or second, but it’s better than fourth. And fifth. Danilo should be ready to start very soon.”

Surely you have to be concerned that our manager doesn’t seem to be able to see past Tav and Dessers, and considers Dowell to be a viable substitute? Amongst others, Sterling and Kasanwirjo must wonder how their careers have stalled in such a dire squad.

We are absolutely chronic. Was saying to the guys round about me that if you didn't know anything about the 2 sides you'd think we were the ones who were 2nd bottom of the league. Worst thing is that isn't a one off or a freak game that is genuinely how we play - scrape by the odd goal usually and are 2nd best for large parts. Thought the manager learned a lesson last week against Motherwell and in midweek but evidently not. Subs were mind boggling too. This only ends one way - 0 trophies and 3rd place.

I know we can't be good all the time but genuine question, when was the last time we were consistently an enjoyable team to watch playing? We are absolutely brutal to watch, with little invention or penetration and if one or two of three players doesn't score then we don't score at all. Surely we should be enjoying at least some games? It can't go on like this much longer 🙁

Dire stuff. Zero enjoyment and we are so bad we are commending effort now. I’m not going in hard on Raskin but this “up turn in form” is actually called hard work, or doing the basics. Raskin mirrors the team, we are so bad we now think running and pressing is brilliant. It’s good and it’s better than some weeks but Raskin like Rangers have next to nothing in quality on the ball. We should be looking at players and thinking they are really good, they won’t be at Ibrox long. Instead I look at nearly every one of them and think, that’s why they are here in Scotland, the lack of genuine quality.

Dessers and Tav provide the same problen at diferent ends of the pitch. Previously Tav's goals masked his glaring deficiencies, and now that the goals have dried up, he is badly exposed. Similarly, Dessers limited goals are masking his glaring deficiencies.

I can see effort from these players, that’s a worry for me, it’s not as if we can expect them to go up a couple of gears and hit form. As a collective, they don’t seem to have anymore to give, I fear this is it in the SPFL.

I think we have some decent players but the way we’re a setup is just not going to work in the spl. Clement need to realise that domestically the only game that tactics might play any part is when we play them. At home we should be dominating the other 11 teams and going for their throats from min one, get a couple of goals up in the first half and the games done. Today like basically every home game inc the ones at Hampden we have no identity. We’re basically relying on Cerny and Bejrami to do something and hope it’s enough to win. The next 2 weeks is like a sliding doors moment, if the board do what 99 percent of us want and bin clement we might just might get a new manager in, get the usual bounce and give ourselves a fighting chance of winning the cup final. I suspect we’ll do nothing and we’ll drop points at Perth and it will take the likely doing from them before he simply can’t carry on

Apart from the Ross county game I can’t genuinely think of a game in Clements time where we’ve dominated a team for a full 90 mins. We have spells of good football for 20 mins but never are we ever in total control of games. Just about every home game this season we’ve been hanging on and hoping we don’t loose a late goal. Just not good enough for us.

You have to wonder what goes through Clements head at 70 mins. We make 2 subs we take off tav who shouldn’t have started in the first place and rather than replace him with sterling who was decent on Thursday we replace him with the Dutch guy and sterling replaces Barron who’s our only half decent player all season. Then he compounds it and puts Dowell who is nowhere near Rangers class over Hagi who’s a regular for his national team and exactly the type of player who would score or setup the vital 2nd goal

On a more serious note I think the club are kicking the can down the road here in hope that we come good but it feels inevitable and only a matter of time. I fear Phil might think 3rd will be acceptable and try to drag our expectations down there too....

If you are going to say Hearts were hungrier despite playing after us you at least need to acknowledge they had a home tie so avoided the travelling.
