Adriana here!  I’m joined by Zander for this new episode of R is for Rangers where we chat about all things Rangers beginning with C.  Well, not all things - we agreed to leave Clement until another time - but we hope you agree that we picked some interesting topics to discuss, including arguably one of the most legendary players in our club’s history.  Admittedly, we had to do a bit of learning together - Zander was born this millennium after all!  But it was a great chat, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Thank you once again for your kind feedback and all your suggestions following the last show.  I’d love to hear your own stories, memories (or corrections!) relating to any of this week’s topics.  Please drop them in the comments along with any suggestions you might have for the next show - next up is the letter D.

Thanks for listening!

On holiday just now, will listen when home. I'm sure another show that both educates and entertains. Sadly, there is only 1 place to start for D. Disaster, the terrible dark day in 1971, and also the tragedies of 1902 and 1961. More recently, there's great players like Durrant, Davis or De Boer.

Thank you, David. Yes, I agree - we should definitely cover the disasters, they are such an important and painful part of our history, and fans new to the club need to learn about them. 💔 And very good sport re: the players. There are certainly a good few to choose from! Have a wonderful holiday, and we do need to talk about you coming on as a guest soon!

Good listen, I think both Ian Durrant and Steven Davis are worthy of a place in the D show

Iam of a vintage that I had the pleasure of seeing Davie cooper play he really was a legend for rangers

Dougie

Really enjoying these shows 👏👏

John Walker

Good stuff again Adriana. Had the pleasure of seeing both coop and Greig . Coop is still the most skilful player I ever witnessed and put so many goals on a plate for mcoist and set up Durrant for my favourite gers goal in 1 nil win over them in 1986.

I worked in a Chinese restaurant in the early 90’s and the owner was a big Rangers fan. I remember being invited to play fives again and i couldn’t make it. The owner told me next shift that Cooper joined for the five a side game. I believed this and was gutted. Cooper was a gentleman. As a waiter in said restaurant, i remember ten Rangers players at a table pointing, and singing ‘Huistra’ at me. I had big hair. Embarrassed and in awe all at the same time. Curry sauce all down their shirts, boystrous evening.

This is a great pod, because there is always more to know for everyone. I thought of Claudio Caniggia and Colin McAdam who i loved as a youngster.

Thank you so much, Stevan - really appreciate it! There are so many things to talk about, should certainly keep us going for a while! 🤣

Adriana Spina
