The board have proven once again how out of touch with the support they are putting personal grudges over a remembrance display. The banners displayed are what the full support are saying and yet same as always only a small group is punished for it, the same group that continues to back the team when others throw the towel in. Personally as someone who’s seats in the Broomloan, Ibrox needs a massive injection of life. The Copland is the “Rangers End” rip it out and make CF all Safe Standing. Move all that don’t want to be involved in the scene to similar seats and give everyone who wants to back the team somewhere to be with like minded people.

Alan Weir

Not the first time the Union Bears have responded with petted lip when everything doesn’t go their way. How many times have they done something they know will aggravate and then wonder what the problem is? Some nice displays apart, I don’t think they’re quite the centrepiece of Ibrox they think they are. I’m probably in a very small minority, but I find the non-stop singing which is completely unrelated to what’s happening on the pitch a tedious drone.

Andrew Hind

When they put up banners calling out the board what did they think would happen, they do alot of good on matchdays but if they cut out the nonsense more fans would get on board with what they do

Alan Weir

“Move all that that don’t want to be involved” sounds like an arrogant and, frankly, deluded suggestion. Week in, week out the vast majority of the Ibrox support don’t sing along with the vast majority of the UB output. The UB do their own thing and support in their own way. I think the evidence suggests the average Rangers supporter isn’t interested in joining the largely niche UB way of doing things.

Luke M

I’d say most of the support are in favour of a proper Rangers End. The same people that want the atmosphere don’t want to help it. I’m not deluded I know it won’t happen but it’s what I’d do personally, give every likeminded fan a place to stand and support the team for the 90. I’m telling you 100% it would be packed every single game

Here's the thing, last season the club spent a load of money upgrading the toilets in the Copland Front, and freshened up the concourse...have you seen it since the UBs moved in?, why do they need to mark their territory like wee dugs?, same goes for all the seats they have moved into, they've carpet bombed the place with their stickers and graffiti. It's bad enough seeing our stadium getting vandalised by visiting supporters without our very own reducing all the upgrade work to an absolute eyesore. They would be well advised to remember EXACTLY what our stadium was built for in its current incarnation. Also the behaviour in that section is a disgrace, it's not about the fans who were there having to put up with a 'different' match day experience, it's people coming from other sections (youthful exuberance shall we call it?) to join in, therefore people are getting pushed about, intimidated and being told to **** off, they are hardly endearing themselves to those around them. The club are culpable on that front as well, having just transported them from one end to another with no organisation or (trigger word to follow...) policing of the section, it's an absolute mess. Then we have the 'Rangers Riot Crew' pish, fireworks and pyro....fines, then we have banners against the board, banners for idiots that assault middle aged women for drums, and banners in support of convicted drug dealers (probably annoyed that it might disrupt their grass and Charlie supply) Greg Marshall hilariously said that the new singing section would bring us more points over the course of the season (no laughing at the back there, he actually said that) so far it's been an absolute failure, crap team, crap atmosphere, crap results, crap steel deliveries, the list is endless. This embarrassing episode is only the latest in a netflix worthy season of embarrassments, and it certainly has no sign of giving us any respite. We are a divided support, following a broken, badly run club. The only people enjoying this is just about every individual who isn't a bear.

Union Bears need to calm down

Alan Weir

I will politely disagree. I don’t think there are many other supporters who want to sing non-stop, and I’m not even sure the UB seem that keen to increase their numbers. A huge amount of people want to chat to their mates, whinge and shout abuse at opposition and Rangers players and, occasionally, burst into song. The evidence is there at every home game that ‘the Ultra way’ of non-stop song isn’t for most of the support (and never has been in my experience.) Take care 👍

Luke M

I think the away support and the way the atmosphere is at away grounds show theirs more than enough support for active support.

Jim Milne

I'm abroad, so only see the games on RTV every week. Appreciate you sharing that mate. Had no idea there was that side to it. I'd be angry too sitting in that section all my life to then have to put up with that vandalism, behaviour, etc. I'll be back next summer and going to go to a few preseason or other games. Had considered trying to get tickets near the UB as it'll be my wife and daughters first time at Ibrox. Thinking we will just go to the family stand after reading that. They do a lot of good, but that shit needs nailed on the head.

Jim Milne

I don't mind them displaying banners, never felt like they were personal apart from naming a board member. Never seen one where they say "X board member is shit, etc". Sounds from other comments that they shouldn't throw stones at glass houses, and need to get their own house in order regarding behaviour, etc. before protesting to the board about standards.

Jim Milne

UB are outstanding at tifos and other displays etc. Really make me proud when I see the stuff they display and obviously the time they put in. The Remembrance Sunday displays should have been a moment of truce between the club and UB, espcially for this subject. However it seems irony is lost on them when they publicly shame the board about standards yet have none themselves in regards to behaviour. Stealing drums, assaulting SLOs, "Ned" behaviour in general and the running battles in the streets with other "Ultras". Someone will end up dead one day from being chased or assaulted. I take my hat off to them for singing and tifos, but they need to get their own house in order before going after the board.

Peter Hosie

Good statement and there was a time and place for the board to be unhappy and Sunday wasn’t it. It’s what I expect from the board as they just oversee one f up over the next. I do want to see a statement from the UB saying they’ll not light up anymore pyros unless they want to fully pay the fines.

Peter Hosie

The majority aren’t singing as the football is 💩 it really is that simple

Robert White

I love the UB. Wish more fans had their passion.

Jason Allan

I enjoyed the masters games last night as well, P&J arena is a great place for it. Just a shame we lost on pens.

Karl Waring

Get one of the union bears on the pod to have their say.

Graham Jones

I like their Tifo displays, but they need to knock off things like fireworks. Letting off phosphorus in a stand where thousands of people are wearing nylon jackets is plain stupid. They have a right to protest but the club have bent over backwards at times. I noticed the atmosphere isn’t the same anymore but thought it was just me. I know for a fact that some people over in the Copeland didn’t want them there but they’re just a bunch of kids. They’re no ICF, so the club should be able to sit down and speak to them. Regarding the stall, the club don’t need to accommodate them, but again, talk things through because we have enough shit around the club right now. Infighting is a needless distraction we don’t need.
