Bunnymen at Glasgow Barrowlands 1984 or 85. Top drawer.

John Cox

I know you don’t take requests for songs - but can’t believe you didn’t opt for Nice in Nice for today’s show!!!

Jim Milne

Fed up hearing Clement talking about stats when the team is terrible to watch, he is worse than Beale.

John Cox

Clement may sound more confident today as he knows he is more suited to this game and has a level of confidence in his presser. I think he may be more nervous about Sunday than he is for tonight

KennyY

I agree with the gaffer on a lot of that as much as I’m going to stick for it on here. He’s had 4 months with a lot of these players and being honest the squad is nowhere near good enough. We are miles behind them and it’s not going to be sorted in 1 or 2 transfer windows. Cerny and then Propper have stated recently the effect that the negativity of our fans has had on them. We aren’t entitled to be winning anything. It’s going to require hard work from the players and the management and the full patience and support of the fans which the majority don’t seem to have. When will the penny drop with the majority of fans that our last few years disappointments can’t purely be down to the wrong choice of manager and changing that position every year hasn’t and won’t be the answer. I have every confidence that Clement is the right man for the job and can turn this around if given the financial support to strengthen going forward.

Robert Deavy

Listening to the comments from that clown from his press conference You have to ask if he is actually trolling us now To think that 2nd half was even half acceptable shows just what type of manager he actually is Not going to comment on his 4 months rebuild nonsense He has taken a poor team from last year and made them worse Bravo on that Just lack your bags and do one Clement!!!!

GAZ1872

Hi David great pod .Hope we get a good result and performance 🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧🇬🇧

Jack

Hi David, my first year watching Rangers was 07/08, how does our start this year compare to 05/06 and 06/07? Does this year look worse by comparison due to Celtic being more consistent or is it as bad as they years?

James McSween

Next manager needs to get a team that’s robust enough to play in the SPFL week in week out. It’s a disgrace that fans are more worried about away to St Johnstone than a European game.

John Jamieson

Couple of weeks for Cortes Lawerence and Matondo surprise surprise but let’s stick to a formation that requires wingers with pace with none available what a joke of a manager man

Alistair Simpson

"I don't want to use excuses", uses excuses every single time he's interviewed. Alrighty then 🙃

Jim Milne

I agree to a point Kenny with changing managers every year, but we have a manager who has spent the best part of £20m and hasn't adapted to Scottish football. He plays one formation irrespective of fit players available, drops some players and won't drop others and constantly contradicts himself. I don't want to be a club that sacks managers every year but I don't want to be a club that is this bad to watch. He has the 2nd highest budget in the league and we are atrocious to watch. IMO there is no evidence he has improved a single player in 1 year and this only ends one way. Just because we don't want to constantly fire managers doesn't mean we should keep them when the standard is this bad.

Craig

**off topic** Just thought I’d share I’m doing a postgraduate degree and they’ve just covered what a scrum master is… I’m sorry Andy, but Colin has a hard job with a unique skill set and works under huge amounts of pressure. A few times a year anyway!

Rose Mcloughlin

Good luck Lily when it comes...and good luck to the team tonight...thanks David.

Nikky Cairney

Another press conference and another round of excuses. Only 4 months into the rebuild not 12 months was a particular highlight. Been listening to the Gerrard podcast the last few weeks and you realise what he done straight away within 2 months. Clement been here a year and we’ve at best stood still.

james whyte

Genuinely can't listen to the gaffer any longer. Excuse after excuse and sick of it!

David Hanlon

Just to say I am actually so feed up listening to our manager. He does nothing but try and make excuses and it's the same every time he opens his mouth. Will not take responsibility for the team losing or not winning. How can we continue with this dire football for the rest of the season.

Derek Robertson

What a bunch of weakminded people on here. If you cant listen or don't want to listen to the manager , then don't listen. It's simple. No one is forced to listen .

Heart and Hand

Yes, and in a logical world it would be true. But fans don't scrub their memories each summer unfortunately. He came into this season on the back of a collapse from March and that colours opinions. He's asking for what-should-be rather than what-actually-is. The reality is that few fans are looking at it from July 2024. And to be fair, he's often the one who refers to 'when I first came' so he can't have it both ways.

Steve23

Derek, its fellow fans coming onto a forum to speak to like minded people, vent frustrations and generally moan at our current predicament. They are not looking to be told the bleeding obvious, that’s not why they are posting so, I would suggest you do the obvious and ignore their posts if they bother you so much. We are all in the same place here, this forum is good for what it is, relax man. If you want to challenge what they say then why not debate?

David Hanlon

Sorry but I thought this was a free country and people are able to express their opinions. Maybe not perhaps the police should get involved.

Spoon

Acknowledging the language barrier that is one of the biggest lot of gobbledygook and excuse making I have ever heard, and that includes Beale. The manager is in utter denial now, it’s clear he absolutely doesn’t understand Rangers or Scotland and if he thinks he does he is delusional.

Heart and Hand

People saying they are fed up hearing the same things from the manager while the team fails to improve is perfectly valid. It’s also not limited to this manager or even just this club.

Heart and Hand

He’s trying to position how we’re doing in a way that reflects better on him, which is human nature. But our support knows what it’s watching. You can’t tell us things we know to be untrue and expect us to believe it. It’s just not realistic.

Spoon

A rebuild isn’t just buying and selling players, he took the credit last season for the upturn at the time on the basis he was making changes to tactics and set up, now he wants to suggest for those months last season he didn’t actually do anything and was a passive passenger? Don’t know what’s worse tbh.

Scott Cameron

It's a real struggle listening to the managers waffle. A long way from the early days where he was measured and sensible.

Robert Deavy

We have regressed at an alarming rate since this manager removed poor players and replaced them with his choice of players That is the only fact that is important

Jim Milne

James on the European Hangover made an excellent point regarding Clements body language recently. The point of him hugging and speaking with players is non existent now compared to last year. I feel like Clement is just being his time towards the inevitable.

Spoon

Your right of course in principal, and I don’t expect him to come out admitting defeat but he can’t be thinking we are in a good place, that’s a bridge to far. There’s massaging the reality and denying it though bud. You can spin something that’s got legs but that nonsense doesn’t. I have sympathy with the structural stuff but not many managers in recent history have had players in to the extent he has or that level of spend and I simply don’t buy into everything in football taking months let alone years to change. You can carve out something workable with flaws then refine it relatively quicky, that’s what he did last year then somehow wrecked it just as quickly. I can accept realism and pragmatism but denial and deflection isn’t how we operate and he clearly doesn’t understand Rangers regardless of his assertion he does.

Heart and Hand

No, I agree. There’s a way to position it and he veers too far away from what we’re watching each week.

Stewart Robertson

I changed my mind on Clement after Dundee last season. He pished down our legs then tried to tell us it was raining. At least big Dujon spoke his mind.

Vanb bryceter

Money spent doesn't equally success. There are many examples out with us of that. However for what has been spent we aren't seeing an appreciable level of quality. The players bought have a level of quality that they can and should produce. We can agree the environment and the facilities are commensurate with an expected delivery on the park . The coaching staff are responsible for making sure that delivery arrives as expected. Unfortunately we are not seeing what should be reasonably expected in performance value and for that the manager should be held to account. Unless he has an immediate turnaround of Rocky Baboa proportions then he is finished and should do the honourable thing and resign. The last bit is based on my opinion that he isn't a clown or any of the other deprecating remarks levelled at him I believe he is a principaled and honourable man who has given his all but just ran out of road

Calum Robertson

After yesterdays spot on the update about the youngsters, found it more annoying watching the Liverpool Madrid game they were prepared to play Bradley who was excellent up against a 2 time WC finalist despite having played maybe 20 odd games that we never seem to want to bleed any of them into our first team if they can do it there is no reason why we cannot

Martin Sutherland

Clement allowed to chat with the CEO speaks volumes. He’s going nowhere.

Andy Sladen

What a tune. Reminds me of my student days. Here’s to a better performance tonight!

David Baillie

Looking forward to a wee Oasis tune on the post match. Mon the Teds. 👍🇬🇧🎼

Derek Robertson

Remember those that can't or don't want to listen to the manager , let me know and I'll tell you what he says tonight
