Spurs have been god awful tonight - with a bit of luck I think we could get something from them

I’m concerned these so-called independent directors will be acting proxies for the main shareholders currently on the board. We’ve seen it happen before at the club when the spins ran the club. That’s not saying I think the current investors are as bad as the likes of Charles Green and Mike Ashley. But the lesson remains for us to observe what is being proposed and delivered closely. I felt the mention of Scottish based was a bit of politics aimed at Dave King, which is pretty pathetic, given that he succeeded and they then messed up what he’d built. Gilligan got Warburton and Caixinha both wrong and it took the intervention of King to bring in Gerrard and turn things around. I know King isn;t everyone’s cup of tea, especially Graeme and Douglas Park, but he delivered as chairman because he drove things from the front and never stopped until he decided to step back and retire to pay attention to his other business in South Africa. He is willing to come back in for tow years and help fins the new investment that is required, so I think it would be a dereliction of duty if they ruled him out.

For me it’s not as simple as different players up front that was a different system. I accept that bringing Hagi in as a proper link to two more striking focused options is the difference but to me that’s as much about play style as just swapping players. It’s no coincidence you get two goals from Dessers with more commitment from players to get past their man, load the box and let him just be a striker in the box. Having a proper 10 instead of 3 mids is the difference. The argument is pre-Hagi did we have that? Well. Yes we did as Bajarami is crying out to be the number 10 and offer what we saw last night. We could have had far more cohesion already this season playing a proper 10 and getting players to actually move beyond the striker, the argument nobody bothered as they don’t trust Dessers is redundant, if you don’t do something that’s on you not someone else, if we had seen runners not being fed or bodies in the box ignored that’s one thing but we didn’t. Clement almost seemed to have let the players work it out and do what they were good at yesterday, perhaps the issue hasn’t been coaching but over coaching? As a last small moan, I get the whole players having to settle etc but this constant expectation that players need 6 months to get up to speed, especially those who arrive and have been playing football needs binned. If your good enough and understand football you can pick up tactics pretty quick and build relationships on field. Clement had the personnel to do what he did yesterday, to a level at least, long before now. Some much maligned players looked totally different in a more positive set up, for that he and they absolutely get credit but I’m not buying that it couldn’t have happened before now.

Totally agree with Colin’s comment on Tav looking more agile, noticed that myself. Was thinking he’s looking physically more lean, like he’d bulked up too much before

They have the potential to run over the top of us but they haven't been too great in Europe so far so we might have a wee chance. The only thing is english teams usually always give extra against scottish clubs and then theres the Ange thing.

Colin you described the feeling exactly heading for the game..soaked cold splashing through puddles in the dark and was deliberating my mental sense for being out there instead of at home warm and dry...but by the 3rd goal we were all hugging each other and grinning from ear to ear...thats the feeling that drags you out in all weathers...I have to admit at 4 nil and seeing the sunstitutes coming on my heart sunk I didnt want the game to slow down..but Dessers double was the icing on the cake..maybe with 3 strikers playing the pressure is off Cyril now and he can relax and enjoy his football again , tav was looking good great to see as I love him, and Hagi brings passion to the game and our warrior Raskin..great defence work..so just a joy to watch ..more of the same please I know not 6 but maybe 3 as an average if possible..thanks guys.

The three second half goalscorers went off and did what?
