When discussing the third goal Vs Rapid I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned that it was Candieas who cleared the ball from the edge of the box sprinted about 30 yards to win the tackle with the defender to then back heel it into Morelos

The 3rd goal against rapid that stands out to me is the clearance comes from Candeias and then he gets on the end of his own clearance to have that touch to set up the goal.

I swear that backheel and goal properly won my son as a Rangers fan. He was watching the match on TV with my mate & I and went berserk celebrating the goal. The next couple of weeks spent doing the Candeias backheel in the garden.

If you watch clips of games from the early to mid 80’s in particular,it’s remarkable how many times we did kick off towards the broomloan in the second half.i can remember a spell where we seem to do it most weeks.

The old Aberdeen trick. We shot towards the Copland in the first half in the Woods, Butcher, Robert’s 2-2 old firm game. Dundee pulled that stunt a couple of weeks ago when they played us at Ibrox

I’ve checked the stats for the last 10 seasons and in that time, David Edgar hasn’t won a single aerial duel in the box for Rangers. Let that sink in. Hopeless!!!……..

I was 19 at the time of this game and had gotten home at 5am the morning before, I woke up still half cut and went to this game solo meant to meet my dad in hampden. In my state I got on the wrong train and ended up on route to mount vernon instead of mount florida. By the time I realised I was too late for the game due to Sunday service and had to watch the game at some random station waiting for the train back to Clydebank via Glasgow… right outside a Celtic leaning pub next to whatever station it was. Brutal.

We shot the right way when we got presented with the title last game of the season v the sheep,it was st Mirren 3-0 in March were we clinched it that they made us shoot the wrong way.
