Great to hear your back alex

Rona Bluebell

I don’t like Dundee Utd. Horrible fan base. Tear them apart please, Rangers.

Rona Bluebell

Obviously my dislike is not at the same level as Beelzebubs Eleven, but they are horrid.

Tamus

Cannot stand Dundee Hibs

William Alston

Alex like you I thought we would probably finish second this season. What didn't expect is dropping lots of points to the other 10 (who we have a lot more money than to spend) and be miles off them at Christmas. We should as a minimum be on their coat tails putting them under pressure and building from there. That's why he shouldn't be the rangers manager

David Anderson

Just on the Europa league, we're in the playoffs at the very worst. A win vs USG guarantees we're seeded for that and gives us a small chance of finishing top 8 (which gets you a bye for the playoffs).

George Higgins

Top 8 unlikely in Europa but a win will put us in a good position for the KO round.

Stewart Robertson

Strider. The voice of the silent majority 🇬🇧

Scott Watson

I'm still not convinced about this format For example, teams that got FCSB (14 points) as their pot 4 team might feel hard done by compared to teams who got Nice (2 points) - hardly a fair playing ground Or bodo/glimt (13) compared to dynamic kyiv (1) as a pot 3 team However, one advantage it has is definitely that most of the games are meaningful going right to the last round

Craig

Manager was in an impossible situation with the keepers. If Kelly had let in a soft goal he'd have gotten the same criticism for not putting Butland back in. Only thing he can do is pick his number one.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks guys great pod 👍, feeling a decent away win tomorrow 2-0 gers 👏🙂

Allan Campbell

Yous canny let steven rabble on for more than 5 minutes listeners zone out ,he needs to relax abit like a Ai recording

James Cameron

Manager was given an absolute shit hand the start of the season, naff all funds, Hampden, nobody else running the club. He knows how to play in the big games and at home, give him a summer window and he can sort the away form. Need to win the Scottish cup though!

David Innes

I think Dessers starts tomorrow

Iain Campbell

We will aim to do a YouTube show soon, that wayyou can see the work that goes into his analysis 👍. The video clips and stars graphs that we get to see recording it

Scott Watson

Absolutely Same reason I can never get on board with our league split - it's a joke that you can have 3 home games against a team (And despite the fixtures being famously random, note that the old firms always come out evenly)

George Higgins

The fixtures aren’t random. Derbies,Xmas and New Year are all factored in. Two clubs from the same city never play at home on the same day. The SPFL are quite open about this.

George Higgins

It’s not a league though, despite what they call it. The team that comes top doesn’t get the trophy . They have to win through the knock out phase. It is no different from the previous incarnation where it was groups of 4 followed by a knockout phase. I like it. You see more teams than we did in groups and there are very few dead runners now. Some teams might get a harder draw than others but that happened in the old format too.

John Smith

Anyone know if we’re doing a silence or applause for Jimmy Calderwood ?

Mark

Missed the last preview - welcome back Alex!

Doug

Half of the pressure that comes on Dessers is a result of the fact that we get so few goals from other areas of the park. This results in fans demanding perfection from our striker. This doesn't let Dessers off the hook completely, but it would share the load if you've multiple goals coming from both wings (not just one) and from the midfield and handful from defenders.

Scott Watson

It *is* different from groups of 4 where you play the same teams Again - it's easier to get 3 points from kyiv (maybe not for us...) than bodo/glimt In a group this doesn't matter because you all play the same teams so points are equally hard to get but having everyone in one table, it's easier for some teams to get (say) 12 points than others I wouldn't mind it so much if the knockouts weren't seeded on the basis of this uneven ranking - so the advantage of the easier draw is locked in

chris smith

Just another interesting wee stat that shows how stupidly hard our draw was …. Even tho we have done pretty well, 5 of the 7 teams we have played are above us currently in the table … in future, UEFA really should find a fairer formula to rig the draw procedure

jamey Carruthers

Alex picking and choosing the context again. The problem most people have is why we keep signing Dowells Lawrence’s on big money when they offer next to nothing. We should be giving more boys a chance over these signings. Even signing Barron over giving Rice a chance.

jamey Carruthers

The irony of using Motherwell battering us as an argument to play Dowell

David_Davy_Dave

Great to have the calm rational voice of Alex back on this pod! I still think you can get to the end of this season and class it as being a successful transitional season BUT I’m not convinced Clement has what it takes to win a league

Jonny Burnside

Strong rumours at Windsor park that Archie Steven’s is joining Linfield til year end, seems a strange one if true.

Alan Baxter

Do we know how long Cerny will be out?
