They will not sack him They publicly backed him only recently after the last round of shitshow performances. Only way they'll get rid, is a no show by the support at the next game at Ibrox. It's the only thing they understand . Big changes required, let's see if Stewart has the Kahuna's to do the right thing. Don't hold your breath

Steven

He won't loose his job until the external enquiry is complete

John Davidson

The Review is a smokescreen that will be used to justify further inertia. It's a classic tactic used by failing businesses to buy time. I fully expect the conclusions to be along the lines of 'believe in the project; we can't keep sacking managers.'

Graham Hendry

Laura’s spot on - it’s a disgrace our season hinges on the Scottish Cup. Cups are a welcome bonus, league must always be the be all and end all

Scott Stewart

It’s Simple …. We are in Some Mess for the one mess. The overspending and resulting cost cutting has come home to roost. The players lack self motivation , desire and the few good ones, already have there eye on there next move. An utter shambles. Furthermore over the last year clement has made some crazy statements, excuses , team selection and subs! All which has added to our demise ! What a f..king mess! The club needs major investment and a new manager !

Hendi

Why would a new CEO and Chairman wish the perpetuate inertia?

Hendi

Is it? Our annual accounts seem to suggest different.

Alex Anderson

Agree with everything said on the pod but I just can’t see Clement being sacked over the next 24/48 hours. His arrogance speaking to the press regarding his future after the game yesterday was incredible.

Alan Spiden

IMHO this isn’t up there with the worst results in our history. It’s THE worst. Hamilton were in the same league, Berwick was away. This was a poor, Championship, Queens Park, at Ibrox. This is the worst and most embarrassing result in our history and there surely can be no way back for the manager or several of the players.

John Davidson

The accounts are based on the pre-project model. The board are now running the club based on significantly reduced spending (and, consequently, ambitions).

Alan Greer

Yesterday summed this team up in 90 mins. Passive, weak mentality, nobody willing to take responsibility to drive the team forward and out of their malaise. The manager doesn’t understand how bad that result was, he just doesn’t seem to be able to get a tune out of these players consistently. Not sure where we go from here, but PC is not going to be a successful Rangers manager.

Hendi

That's not inertia then? They've set out their vision for a new recruitment strategy and player trading to raise funds.

David Innes

If you don’t include our time in the lower leagues then I agree it’s the worse result ever, the only thing that could make the embarrassment worse is the manager being allowed to keep his job. I hope it doesn’t come to this but if the board don’t act the fans will need to force the issue with a well supported boycott of the St Mirren game

Hendi

Wishful thinking on ST renewals. Whilst there is a massive waiting list, then people will renew as they'll not get another when/if the good times come back.

Wilson Elder

Rangers fan for 50 plus years and to be honest I switched off along time ago It's a lottery what team is going to turn up ,Love my team but God it shouldn't be the hard .

Scott Scobbie

The lethargy at the club is frightening and agree that we should all stay away from the next couple of home games to show this board what an empty Ibrox would be for them should they keep him

Dougie

Stewart stated results had to improve. I guess losing in our worst ever result is the opposite of that!! Sack him now. The players were a disgrace yesterday. But it was this manager and his staff who prepared them. What is even more worrying yesterday was that was perhaps our strongest team. We totally lack drive and leadership at every level. End it now!!

Kirk Guthrie

I keep hearing "unacceptable" being thrown around (and I mean this against PC and Tav not you!) But wouldn't an "unacceptable performance" imply that there will be like ramifications or punishments or something? These players will still get their weekly paycheck, they still have their contracts. The only people losing are we the support, and unfortunately we have to accept this, like we have all season. I'm sick of this "I'll use a serious word so ppl know I'm upset" bullshit. Just wanted to rant a bit thanks for the pod.

John Gow

Clement should have been gone after losing to Aberdeen. Of-course he can have some good results - he has huge resources compared to others - but win some lose some is the definition of mediocre. He tries to lower the bar because he knows he is mediocre and weak. And if the club think this is ok then the club has become mediocre.

Ian Irvine

We are just so lethargic, should have attacked that team as soon as the whistle went like we did against Man Utd/Spurs.

Ally

Some good points made. The team looks disorganised, uncoached, and we look like we’re only set up to exploit transitions. That’s why we thrive in the chaos and space of the Europa League. Compare this to when we complained about overcoaching under Gerrard, Gio, and Beale - we’ve gone way too far in the other direction.

John Smith

I’d give it to Charai and see what he can do

Scott Duncan

No offence, but if the Moroccan guy is the next manager the game is well and truly a bogey and we've learned nothing from the previous PLG, Pedro etc. disasters!

John Smith

I’d give him this season as an audition. And we’ll see how he does and take it from there

Blaine Tosh

Board have us by the balls sadly, Season ticket waiting list is so big that people won’t give it up in fear of not getting back. Only way to hit them is European packages but just leaves a black hole financially

William Alston

On season tickets, remember for this season they increased prices and sold it to us on a rebuild, if they increase them this year then god help them. We should actually get a discount to be honest

David

Clement wants credit for playing young players then hooks rice when it was getting tough even though he was doing fine

Rob Whiteford

These alternatives - despite it all I’d rather keep Clement. Careful what you wish for.

Monkspath Miko

The three of you seem to think he needs to go and in the next 48hrs we might hear some news. I’m sorry but I think you’re going to be very disappointed. He’s going nowhere. He signed a new deal because this season is a write off. Trim the squad and let’s see how we do next season is the board’s mentality.

David Walne

What's the deal with pretending you're speaking on the Monday when others have clearly said it's the day of the game?

Liam Johnson

Rice was honking mate. Pointing where he wanted the ball then passing it straight back to the certain half. Wee guy looks like he thinks he can stroll about.

Heart and Hand

It’s just a thing that some do - speak the day the show comes out rather than the day it was recorded. Similarities to when we say ‘good morning’ on a show going out at 7am that was recorded at night. It’s pretty standard in any entertainment setting.

Monkspath Miko

I know, which made the show a bit of a hard listen because it’s pretty clear he’s not going to be sacked yet the three talking are all convinced it would be happening imminently.
