Spot on with that song. 👌

Mark Rennie

How's he not been sacked yet 😢

Joe Ward

Got to go his excuses after defeats and dropping points breeds the mentality of losers in a team that's already full of losers. Goes on about budgets in Europe but doesn't see the irony our budget dwarfs everyone's in the league bar them never mind a championship team. There's no pressure now so they will turn into superstars until there's pressure domestically

Ross Monro

If he doesn't get sacked today we might aswell all just give up

John Gow

"Adversity does not build character, it reveals it". We know who Clement is now with his excuses in adversity. If Patrick Stewart does not sack the manager now we will see who he is too. Happy to be also-rans from top to bottom.

greg sutherland

He's not getting sacked today, or tomorrow or until we are out of Europe. I suspect he may leave my mutual consent at the end of the season. Two away games (despite us being shite away from home) probably buys him at least a fortnight

Bradley johnson

I feel very Alan Brazil in regards to the women’s team currently

Jordan McKay

I’d say it’ll be a few days, depending on when the board can convene to discuss it and then negotiating the severance.

James

I doubt he will be sacked. We don’t want to spend money sacking him and were hoping Belgium came and took him IMO. Dunno what happens now

David Hanlon

This is the end. A manager who says that we would get the same result with another manager. He is taking rubbish, sorry but any other manager would have won that game. Wrong team , wrong tactics, what was he doing all week. He is unable to change a game during half time. Tempo what tempo. Walking pace. I am finished with this team, players and manager.

Mark Brown

Last thing I want to hear about is the Wummins football. Sorry Cammy, no offence 🙈

David Herd

Struggling to score against 8 defenders in a cup tie against a lower league team. Decides to take off the left sided attacking midfielder. On the bench he has the option of a winger with plenty first team games played, a young winger with potential, or a highly paid and experienced international attacking midfielder. He decides to play a left back there instead. Hagi had been poor, I can see why he went off. But the choice of replacement summed up exactly why the manager has to go. And that's before we talk about 13 points behind, 4 away wins by mid February or our worst home Scottish Cup defeat ever.

Alan Ferguson

When I was leaving Ibrox yesterday I was hoping he’d be sacked by the time I got back to my car. A day later, I’m still as angry but feel the best thing is to let him stay in charge for the European matches remaining, it’s the one area he excelled and got team to punch above their weight. There are no guarantees any caretaker manager would do as well in remaining Euro games. We then get so close to end of season, I don’t see any point in parting ways with him until the summer

William George Bell

I think we have 12 games outside of the Europa League left, effectively 12 friendlies. His failure to win the league last season showed he lacked the skills to take the club forward, to reward him with a contract extension was sheer negligence from the board.

Neil Wilson

If the Club review is ongoing, it's unlikely you would fire him until that's finished. Even if you were to fire him, you would have to bring a caretaker manager in with a few months left of the season. Don't want to get into a situation with a new manager getting potentially negative views prior to the summer window.

james whyte

The fact he hasn't been sacked only says to me the board are accepting of where we are at Get your big boy pant on C.E.O and do whats needed

Doogz

Thoughts with David and his family.

KMS

Forget The Clash, Embarrassment by Madness would have been more fitting for Clement and the board

Douglas Innes

Can't really call for a managers dismissal then say we can't change managers every 12-16 -18 months , in regards that you think we've already think 2nd place is secured surely it makes sense that Clement sees the European journey out , who knows last 8 or a semi final may be in our future

Kenny barnes

one day david will come on and just say ' you don't want to know ' and that will be the full update

8luenose1872

The only problem with that is these players will play well now the pressure is off and it will keep him his job until next season when the same thing will happen. His style of play is awful for our league, we are only good really when counter attacking and its ludicrous in a league where we have 80% possession most weeks. He hasnt learned a thing about our league since he came in so its pretty obvious he doesn't think his setup is a problem.

James McSween

The players have a WhatsApp group and some have been slagging Clement for months on it. Players obviously don’t rate his tactics and management style.

8luenose1872

I honestly think he got no players in January coz the board were waiting to see if they needed to sack him before the summer.

Glen Kane

Clement will be here for as long as the board need s a barricade between them and the support. A well run club doesn't lose £17m on a record £95m turnover.

Rona Bluebell

14.15 and he’s still here. It says there is no line that cannot be crossed. What is now considered unacceptable? Its freefall.

Gordon Millar

I'll reiterate the point I made yesterday, he just doesn't get Scottish football, a result like that in Belgium may viewed as a freak result, but not in our country and not at our club.....the question that he cannot answer is ' can you build a team to win leagues and cups in Scotland?' I think we know the answer to this!

Linda Mackay

The players are just as culpable. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. What they put us through yesterday is unforgivable but unfortunately we are stuck with them.

Billy McCormack

Hypothetical question, If Ange was to get sacked at Spurs and Rangers tried to get him, do you think fans would except it?

Graeme Burns

The early KO from the cup and huge gap in the league has created a unique opportunity for us to go flat out for the europa league… In 2008 and 2022 we lost Europa League finals and fixture congestion / fatigue / running out of steam contributed to both defeats. Now we can manage the squad towards those European games without the complication of having to get league results to stay in a title race. Plenty of time to train, coach, analyse and prepare for the European matches, with domestic football taking a back seat. Winning the R16 games earns us €2.5M, and winning the QF would earn a further €4.2M in prize money alone. Focus on that - Phil has a good record in Europe and knows how to set the team up for that competition.

Fraser Wells

Fans need to boycott upcoming home fixtures. All season ticket holders should seatsub their seats and force the boards hand!!!!

Bryan Watson

After sleeping on it, there is only really one word to describe how I am feeling - mortified. Mortified at the manager and his brass neck and delusional excuses, mortified at the players and their disgusting lack of application, mortified at the board for their years of undiluted and unarguable ineptitude. I don't think they sack him and he won't walk. Standards are non existent. We are not behaving like a big club in the slightest and speaking of renewals, if the board have abandoned the notion of us being Scotland's Premier Club then maybe the price point should reflect that. If you want to act like a wee tinpot team then charge wee tinpot team prices. I know that will never happen but Cammy is bang on. It is not cheap to go and follow Rangers and whilst that doesn't give us a god given right to win every game / trophy, I want to see a team that never gives up, a manager that has tactical nouse and guile, a board who treat our club like a serious institution off the park. So so so so so so x100000 far removed from anything resembling Rangers.

David Tod

In the name of God go.

Peter Hosie

This is all we have and also think everything goes into it. Opportunity from a crises and all that…

Jim Milne

How important is the review? They binned the B team right when they announced the review. So they obviously don't care about the review in all aspects of the club.

Peter Hosie

Says more about the prick players than the manager if this is all one big joke to them

Allan Osborne

What a steaming pile of shite from Clement. If players are "nervous" playing for Rangers against Queen's Park (yes Queen's Park!) then they should not be at Ibrox. Their keeper had "the game of his life" according to Clement. Out with the penalty save (which was outstanding) I don't recall him having any particularly great saves. We are powderpuff up front and that defence is a permanent bomb scare. I'm sick of him and those players. No one at the club seems to give a shit. Utterly depressing.

Neil Wilson

I think the decision to scrap the B team was already made. The club were getting frustrated with no movement on league reconstruction. Also, the success of the first team is the most important thing, so you are not going to want to spend a chunk of money on consultants and then override the report before it's finished. Just my opinion.

George Higgins

Every marker we can hit on a European journey brings in revenue we can’t get elsewhere between now and the end of the season. Worst case scenario it helps finance PC’s pay off.

George Higgins

Rationally we should but unfortunately a lot will not touch anyone with Celtic connections. It would also take quite a bit of bottle on Postecoglu’s part. The first slip up and he’d be under pressure.

Graham Roy

That one screwed with my already messed up head! Probably no as the board aren’t going to enter with much goodwill. I suspect ange would say no anyway and that is last thing the club needs!

Graham Roy

PC should have been sacked last night that result is the worst ever. During the banter years you could make an excuse due to the mess on and off the pitch. The new CEO has to do this or he will have this hanging over him every week! Gerrard is an obvious choice but does that mean Beale comes back? We do need a leader and not another project manager! Someone who demands certain standards and can unite the support behind them!

William Noble

I’m thinking he is a labour minister being in denial

White Family

Anyone else can't stand the sight or sound of Clements? Also Alex Rae, what a let down.

William Noble

The board and management could not run a bath let alone our team

Moody Marco

In what way did QP take a “deserved” lead?

Jim Milne

I don't disagree mate. The review is just smoke and mirrors to buy time. The decisions have already been made imo.

Billy McCormack

He's talking about Tempo, as soon as I saw that fucking 4231 I knew that 1st half was going to happen, so if I can see that and he can't, we're fucked then!

Bryan Watson

We just **deservedly** lost to a mid table championship side AT IBROX. We are not Europa League contenders, the run to Seville was exceptional but that was 3 years ago now. Time and time again it is clear that Last 16 is our level in this competition. We will very likely go out in our next tie. Don't get me wrong team and manager have done well to finish top 8 in league phase but I don't think we should be expecting to progress further

Billy McCormack

I've been saying that to all my mate's who have a season ticket, the only way the club will take notice is everyone seat subs and I mean everyone, cause they won't get all those tickets resold!!

White Family

Anyone else think Igamane is a very poor forward? I don't see it.

Elaine Campbell

No. Not at all. Dessers on the other hand is. And Igamane is being moved out wide, from where he has been excellent so far this year, to accommodate him.

Calum Downham

Let’s stop this chat about him “doing the right thing” by resigning The board are the ones who renewed his contract by 3 years at a time where the jury was well and truly out for him. This is 100% caused by the board, so let’s please end this fake righteous patter about doing the right thing when Clement is entitled to the contract that he was offered

Martin Sutherland

I think the frustrating thing is his lack of accountability. Apparently no other manager could have won that game yesterday. Where does he get that confidence from? Certainly not anything he’s done with us

Scott Kerr

He won't resign not many people would tbh. The board appointed him and now they need to sack him. I cannot see this happening till the summer at the earliest.

David Innes

Whatever the decision is I think it’s important we hear from Patrick Stewart this week. Burying his head in the sand isn’t an option

Chris Macfarlane

The pod talked about the players going away for a team holiday last week. Not sure if this went ahead. Certainly looked like it.

Alan Cowan

The lack of any sort of reaction from Patrick Stewart is contemptuous in itself. If he doesn't feel the need to communicate with the support after that shitshow, then maybe he's the wrong person for the job. Silence is not an option

Alan Cowan

I think he has been believing his own publicity as has Jefte. Both have been dreadful the last few games

Colin Mathie

Fans said PS was just another yes man for the board, it looks like they've been proved right, coward that he is.

John Davidson

Fair play to you Cammy. I could barely listen never mind record that.

KennyY

4 managers in the past few years would suggest that either those doing the hiring haven’t got a scooby or the manager isn’t the main issue and the players and those recruiting them are the common denominator for years of abject failure. Sick of it

Fraser Wells

Couldn’t agree more Billy. I’d love to know, how many tickets have been made available today on seatsub.

Fraser T8

I'm just waiting for the new manager announcement.

Andrew Mathieson

Could feel the anger rising up my spine as you read Clement’s waffling bullshit responses to Davie and Stevie’s questions. Don’t know how the boys kept their cool listening to it in person

Stewart Robertson

We need a core of Scottish players. Some proper hairy arsed bastards that know what it means to play for The Famous. I'm only half joking with this - but I noticed that all 11 of our players were wearing LONG sleeves and/or baselayers. 7 of the Queens Park players had SHORT sleeves. I can't help but feel that we have a lot of players out there who love playing for Rangers (and the pound notes), but don't love the hardships of the Scottish weather. Bomber Brown didn't wear long sleeves.

Shevy Kapoor

If my season ticket and blue sky renewal came in today I’d not renew….will this change in a few weeks after a few wins. Doubt it. Time for change and I really don’t get the we can’t afford to sack him argument. It’s got to the stage we can’t not afford to keep him and piss off the paying public.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks Cammy, tuff times are going to continue it seems, can't or won't relieve the manager of his position 🤦‍♂️some player's are shocking as well and also need leave the building imo , the current board are a massive part of the state we are in , best wishes for David and his family.

Linda Mackay

Just had one of the worst days ever as a Rangers fan and reading the comments we are all feeling the same! It’s hard to see how we can turn the corner as we’re in a vicious circle of poor domestic results, average players, constant injuries and a manager who is totally deluded. Truly awful situation. PS. It’s alleged that after the match yesterday Patrick Stewart told fans in hospitality that Clement will be judged at the end of next season!

William Alston

It was a cup shock but at the same time I wasn't surprised, a disaster like this has been in the post for months

Robbie McCarroll

If the board have not been looking at new managers since November then that’s a massive worry. it’s been when and not if the manager leaves and deluded if they didn’t think the fans would be screaming for Clement to move on again before the end of the season. This result was due I just can’t believe it’s Queens Park although that shows how easy we are to play against

Colin Mathie

Seemingly he was in hospitality after the game and told the folks there that Clement was here till the end of next season, which is an absolute disgrace if it comes to pass.

Robbie McCarroll

I disagree but he does need a rocket as a club like ours the casual body language and lapse play will ware thin very quickly look at the likes of Tillman you need to show some teeth or a lot of the fanbase can turn quickly.

michael Cochrane

You can whinge and cry all you want ! We are not sacking him

QB_72

Thoughts are with David and his family 💙

Scott Kerr

Tbh I expect him to be here till the summer...no matter what else happens. 🤷

Alan Ferguson

I can’t see it happening….but if it did he’d improve our domestic record (easier wins v the 10 other teams and it’d be a shootout v Celtic for trophies)…..however, we’d get pumped rotten in Europe, so probably best we don’t try to bring him in

James Anderson

No urgency!!! At one point Hagi tried to take a quick corner, but had to wait till Tav trudged over to take it. If Clement goes ...Tav must follow

Simon Botterill

Scottish football is tough, much harder than the Europa league. Football is all about intensity above anything else. We don't have enough players who can cope at this level. Tav is so ill equipped to lead in Scottish football. We don't have a match day team willing to cross lines to deal with what is Infront of us. This is all basic but PC and the board are very naive.

Alastair McGeoch

Phil, sometimes it’s ok to say “that is an embarrassing result, totally unacceptable at a club like Rangers. If the players cannot meet the demands of this club they’ll need to move on” - if he’s worried some of them can’t handle that sort of statement he should do it, identify the ones who have a problem with it and ship them out. The fact he thinks some of them were nervous because it was the last chance of a trophy this year says it all.

Moody Marco

“Unless he goes on to win the Europa League then the club has to take action now”? How does that work? 🤷🏻‍♂️

stuart paterson

Manger’s obsession with one up front proves he can’t learn ( domestically ) Albeit weren’t better with 2 in second half , but that was about freakily bad finishing, start with 2 against Queen’s Park we easily leading at HT tho. HT substitutions were diabolical Not even hindsight One step forward then two back. Always 😩

Heart and Hand

Tell you something right now Shevy, if guys like yourself don’t renew the likes of Blue Sky the board will shit themselves. They need to realise that.

Andy Sladen

Has to go and a banger of a tune

Graham Jones

We need to stop going round in circles with manager after manager. He was given a new contract in the summer for a reason. He is facing the same issues that Gerrard faced, with barely any budget to speak of. I know it’s emotion and frustration where the anger is coming from, but they missed the chance to bring back King, who warned we were heading in the wrong direction. Gerrard’s advice was ignored and well, and we just went ahead and misspent a small amount of club treasure in going the wrong direction. There are players in the teams who will come good, but there’s a lack of maturity to help guide them on the park. That was probably where something should’ve been done in January. I’m not talking quick fix, but someone to help bring composure onto the park. If the team feel hard done by not getting some days off last week, then they are not going to enjoy what will be a very unpleasant week for them. At the end of the day they didn’t perform against Queens Park.

Graham Roy

I heard they went to London for Christmas party! No idea if true just what I heard at the game.

Douglas Innes

I'd much rather have Stuart Kettlewell as interim till end of season , he'd be more up to date than any ex Rangers player who " gets " the club

Douglas Innes

Great post and will probably fall on deaf ears , far from being a happy clapper but the last window should tell us we dont have a pot to piss in

Douglas Innes

This hasn't been said almost anywhere else but on reflection it makes you think " what the f*ck "

Chris Macfarlane

There's got to be a cost to inaction (in this case season ticket renewals). Personally, unless the silence from the club is not building to an announcement, he's here for the euro rounds, then gone before the renewals. TBH, what's to gain by appointing a caretaker? Planning for next season is bigger... as long as they have a new manager in by the summer.
