Graeme Cairns

Been waiting on this. Hoping it's cathartic.

John Smith

What do we have to lose is my view on appointing Charai. Give him an opportunity and see what he does.

Fraser Wells

Cammy commented on the DU and posting it here as well. It’s time for fans to boycott upcoming home fixtures. All season ticket holders should seatsub their seats and force the boards hand!!!!

Jamiedinho

Protests and boycotts won't work. We tried one a month ago and got abuse from fellow fans. Too many fans are happy with the status quo.

james whyte

Trust, as Davie says correctly, has gone with Clement. Its also gone from the board and pretty much anyone in positions of power at the Club. We are an absolute mess and many of us have just about had enough now.

Mark Phillips

Cathartic-involving the release of strong emotions through a particular activity or experience: a cathartic experience.

Robert Reid

I think the most worrying aspect in all this is the constant attempts of the board and the management team to lower fans expectations, the idea being pushed that celtic have more money, we need to build over time and that a European run or the odd cup is success. I'm 43 years old, and there is no way any other Rangers manager in my time could have survived such mediocriy for so long.

james whyte

In the main, players who come to us now are here for a wage and European nights. They dont have any recent (almost past 20 years) sustained success to look at and think "I need to win here". They float about domestically and think 2nd in the Lge and cup finals are acceptable. And until we do start to win things, if ever!, we are in this cycle of utter doom.

Ally Mair

The sheer desperation and excitement almost , that I and many others got yesterday when we got that penalty says it all about where we are , having to resort to such measures at home to queens fucking park to salvage extra time is beyond embarrassing. My 1st ever ibrox trip was with my dad at the 0-1 Scottish cup game at home to Hamilton in 1987 and I was there yesterday to see that , I’m done with this manager and captain and all the we must do betters ain’t going to cut it anymore

Jamie Gilchrist

Was glanced over but its an important issue - if we all know that Igamane is struggling up top alone, why arent accomplished coaches seeing the same problems?!

8luenose1872

Whats ur thoughts on Stewart telling guys in hospitality that they are only gonna judge clement at the end of next season guys. I honestly think thats the plan no matter what. The only way he gets sacked now is if fans stop turning up and force their hands.

Graeme Glennie

James tavernier has been like that his entire rangers career. Passive with absolutely no character. He had his purple patch getting us to the europa league final and didn't have to be questioned on it, but domestically, when it gets tough, he has absolutely nothing to offer in terms of fire, character and sheer anger at the situation he consistently finds himself in. And if he didn't want to be in this situation, he should have left.

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks Cammy Martyn & David, just when you thought can it get any poorer it does, the future upturn looks very far away at this point certainly .

Scott Corral

Said it yesterday the players are just as culpable. How many times we misplaced passes as little as 5 yards from a wide range of players was horrific.

Ross Whitehead

I would tend to cut the manager a bit if slack as, I think he has been dealt a pretty shitty hand since he's been here. Having said that, you absolutely cannot lose at home to Queens Park in the cup and expect to survive. He's a dead man walking now.

David Herd

You know the end is nigh when the unflappable and calm Mr Ramsey is swearing! A team with no pace and no guts, a manager with no idea. It can only end one way. I just hope the new manager isn't telling us for the first 4 months of next season how you can't expect results straight away with so many new players.

George Higgins

Problem is Robert that Celtic do have more money. They just posted interim accounts for first half of this season showing a £44m profit. They have been better run than us

Douglas Innes

managers and coaches don't come alone , getting rid of Clement means getting of 4-6 guys ? i just dont see how a club that obviously clouldn't buy a player in the January window is in a position to pay off a coaching team , we can't afford to throw an interim manager into a last 16 tie

Iain watson

I'm sure the players also don't think that clement will get them anywhere,he can't rouse them after that first half? Players would be shite scared to go in a dressing room and face Walter after that result, this lot don't care.he should have gone months ago and I'll not be back at ibrox, renew my season book or buy any merch until he's gone

William George Bell

You can bet your house on results improving in the league as the pressure is off these bottlers now with nothing left to play for. My worry is that this may convince the board to keep Clement.

Simon H&H

It was taken from a parody account on Twitter as a wind up. Stewart didn’t say anything like that. Thankfully

Graham Jones

Nothing will change if we change the manager, and that will lay the truth bear, but it won’t convince the fans because many can’t see past the manager. He should’ve walked away in the summer when they grew him in front of them with a new contract, but he thought they were being genuine with their offer of rebuilding. They weren’t, because they only think of their own necks. Until the board are replaced with people who understand the financial commitments required for the job then we wont be able to rebuild the team in a way that is fair to any manager. Sure, they will sack him because the heat is coming on them, and we will forget about them for a while. They have done their bit for the club and then they ruined it. The worst thing that happened was King standing down. He thought he’d left the club in good hands, but soon it became obvious to him that they were going in the wrong direction. When he stated as much people thought it was sour grapes or something along those lines. He’s not that sort of person, but then, he’s not used to dealing with amateurs. The club needs rescuing again, because until we match our ambitions with a proper budget then spending wisely wont cut it. Even doing that doesn’t guarantee a place in the next round of the Scottish Cup. We need to take our medicine and demand change to the board before we go round in circles again with yet another manager. All that will do is make sure we’re doing the same this time next year.

Heart and Hand

All of our strikers are better with another one close to them. None of them thrive domestically alone up there imo. But he does often go back to the 1 up top with Bajrami and Hagi who don’t work together.

William Noble

I would bring in Billy Davies until the summer

Bryan Watson

He is still in a job, jeezy peeps. If we are going to act like a wee tinpot club, may aswell charge wee tinpot club prices. I'm absolutely mortified at Clement, the players and the board. I hope Patrick Stewart realises how underwhelming and tepid he has appeared in his first few weeks. Rolled over and got our bellies tickled over multiple scandalous decisions (including one which robbed us of a cup) and still keeping this absolute throbber in post after several domestic shockers, including our worst ever domestic result in the modern era (excluding the journey for obvious reasons). You can get KPMG or Deloitte or EY or whatever bloody consultancy firm you want in to review the club top to bottom, fair enough, but even Stevie Wonder could see how obvious it is that Phillipe Clement should be removed. I get the sense they are terrified to make a decision incase they get it wrong, they want to be able to hide behind the "we did what the consultants instructed us to do" line.

Chris Graham 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The irony for me in all of this is we play in one of the worst standard of football brand globally The standard is dross and has been for 30yr yet we find it so difficult to overcome hard work and dogged organisation Across the city they have it figured out 1 . Lots of pacy runners 2. Quick ball movement 3 powerful pressing 4 mobility It’s not rocket science but 3 managers down since Gerrard and we are trying to reinvent the wheel

Roy Donlon

The mentality/attitude of the players is outrageous. The absolute cheek of them to think they can coast ANY game, they’ve not earned that right at all. There’s been countless lessons in the last couple of months alone, they’ll never learn, they’ll never get it

William Noble

PC is in constant denial, I want to climb on top of Ibrox and SCREAM

William Noble

All this passing between the two centre backs does my head in

KMc

It’s the collective apathy and malaise we find ourselves in that I find more worrying. No one at the club really seems to be bothered by the mess we’re in. The lack of leadership and accountability from those in charge has genuinely set the club back years. The fans are tuning out.

Stuart McWilliams

Matondo gave an interview where he talked about being unfit this season and Rangers "doing well" without him and I think that sums up our problems, there's too many who see european progression and a cup final as being acceptable. I was in the give Clement time camp but St Mirren, Motherwell and now this means it's time to go. Let an interim manager come in and make the decisions that will be unpopular amongst the dressing room: change the captain, call out the lack of fundamentals and low standards etc. Those are difficult things for a permanent manager to do when he needs the rest of the squad on side, but letting an interim manager do it gives the new man some protection.

Jordan McKay

I’ve been thinking about managerial candidates who I’d be happy to take permanently now and there isn’t one. Not Muscat, not Gerrard. I’d give it to Kevin Thompson on an interim basis and then start the recruitment process. If it ends up being Muscat or Gerrard in June then fair enough, but as is pointed out on the pod, they need to start on a clean slate.

Stephen

Money wise we should be 2nd best but there is no reason why we can’t be in a situation where we beat all the other teams and the league goes down to the 4 old firm games.

Peter Hosie

I think everyone rushed home to moan on the internet rather than go to the front door and demand change. The whole of Ibrox walking out on 55 minutes showed the internet doesn’t speak for the real world including us on here.

Tamus

Jesus Cammy you're such a Tav fan boy Giving captain disaster credit for hitting a penalty on target Wooptae doo

William Noble

We had a saying in the army. Perfect Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance I can think of someone who needs to learn this

William Noble

Personally I’d like to see Billy Davies get a chance to take us to the summer

Neil McIlwraith

I think this a fairly easy fix, but crucially, only for a manager that understands Rangers demands and our unique domestic scene. It will/should not take millions to challenge in the league. Our budget is vastly superior to the 10 other teams so if we beat the teams we should, albeit we have been unable to do so since the 55 season, then you are automatically in a title race. To get back to that does not take £15-20M. Get the correct manager in and things will turn around very quickly.

Peter Hosie

I don’t think PC is going anywhere due to finances and the EL. I won’t lose sleep if he went tomorrow but I’d prefer him for the EL rather than bringing in a caretaker manager with no European experience.

KMS

The thing about season ticket renewals that is really pissing me off at the moment is the fact there will be a noticeable price increase, especially for those in the new cantilever section, paying more to watch utter dross and abject failure...yay!!! Btw the views in that new cantilever section are shocking, it's ruined the Copland Rear in general

Ross Campbell

100% the manager believes he’s untouchable. Were such a shit show off the field he knows he can’t be touched, who else would want this job? On that, he had a run going, changed it against st mirren and it cost us, and he’s just done it again on Sunday, 1 upfront was embarrassing and his substitutions were an absolute joke! Would love to know who sanctioned Cortes and Bajrami coming in!

Scott Kerr

Is our financial situation stopping us sack him 🤷

Gordon Watson

Expected to see more comments on here that resemble Graham’s remarks, that is, taking aim at the board. It doesn’t matter who the manager is. The fish rots from the head first and that’s with our executive. It may not even be they have to leave, it may be they have to attract new investment. The whole place looks and feels stale.

Gordon Watson

Clement has been dealt a rough hand and he’s had to carry all the blame while we had no CEO or chairman. He’s responsible for the performances and results on the pitch but he can only wazz with the wazzer he’s got. Whoever the manager is, they need proper help to catch up to them and win a league title. Clement was never seriously supported in that objective. Agree, though, defeat to Queens Park at home isn’t acceptable.

Gordon Watson

Is telling everyone in Hospitality what’s going on the new press conference? it’s like an episode of Still Game and telling Isa and she tells everyone on your behalf. 😂

Stephen

Don’t buy into this season ticket renewal talk. People always renew in the end. Half the people just get one because they always have, talk to the guy next to them for a bit then leave at 75 minutes. Some might not turn up for home games but they still buy one to get away tickets etc. I have 2 sons who have found it impossible to get a season ticket so they will take your ticket if you don’t want it. Countless others will too.

Stace1ofthePeople

Everyone quoting the 'banter years'. They haven't finished. We're an absolute basket case of a club. It's heartbreaking. 3 trophies in 12 years and how many finals lost? I know we need to decrease squad age/wages etc but we need quality players who can impact and control a game. There is not one single player in that team who you can hang your hat on and trust. Every single one of them play well in flashes and thats it, far too many dips and 'off games' Depressing stuff. Well go again in August I suppose... 🤦‍♀️

Brian Auld

Too many people don’t get what a rebuild is. That result was unacceptable but it’s not the first time there was a shock in a cup game. Some people need to get real. It’s going to take time and sacking managers whenever the going got tough is why we ended up here.

Rose Mcloughlin

First of all every sympathy to David and his family on their sad loss....as fans we are all just exhausted with the constant excuses of pathetic performances....even when we score I still feel we are just moments away from getting beat...so the 3 or 4 nil wins wash over us as we are to tense....but the biggie season ticket renewal...they have us over a barrel..the people we sit beside..front and back become your Rangers family and we will still buy our ticket because that is in our dna...but the atmosphere is so down even before that disaster that more of us are missing games just because we cant be bothered sometimes.....I worked under both Souness and Walter Smith they protected their players but would also go in and exploded at them...dont think Clement has that in him....so begginning of feb and nothing to look forward too so Ibrox will die a death for the next few months..boy does this club have a big problem not with a manager or players but to win their fans back as we have given up.

David Innes

Surprised that it seems some people are still backing Clement. My view hasn’t changed since the final whistle on Sunday. There is no way back for him after such an epic humiliation- in years to come he will forever be associated with Queens Park in the same way Pedro is remembered for standing in the bush and Craig Levein with 4-6-0

John Palmer

Kevin Muscat or Rino Gattuso needs to be appointed. Both were hard on the field which has carried on into their Mamagerial careers. Clement is too soft, we need no nonsense Men at the Helm.

Billy O’Neill

Been saying it since the cup final back in may after he subbed Cantwell (who was the best player on the pitch at the time) off for Scott Wright. Hes not got a clue and will never understand what it takes to be a Rangers manager. Bring in KT or Barry till the end of the season, atleast they know what it takes to at least win games and fight for the badge here.

DEREK DICKSON

Only 8 fouls in the whole game. Tells me everything about this current Rangers team and coach.

David Milligan

Go and get Muscat now before the Chinese season starts, we have read what he has said down here in Oz about being happy in China but they all want a job in Europe and we need to try something different because Gio,Beale and Clement are all same same take the chance on Muscat

Alan Riddell

Well I can tell you I’ve already told the ticket office I won’t be renewing. Hopefully that will allow others on the waiting list to get it for next year. But I’m hoping that we have a new manager and better group of players than we have now. I understand people will say stick with it, but I’ve supported Rangers for 57 years now and even the pre Souness era didn’t feel as bad, as at least there was hope. I’m not sure where the hope comes from top to bottom at the moment. Three days since the worst defeat in our history and not a word from anyone. Clement has clearly been told he is safe, as nobody can be as arrogant as he was after that defeat. Do not be surprised if he is still the manager next year.
