David I thought some of Andy McGowan’s comments,which were excellent, might have resonated with you but obviously not. While I can’t disagree with you that someone in authority had to come out and speak after the QP game I’m not sure what they would have said as clearly PC is here for a while longer. So if he wasn’t getting sacked there and then whatever they had to say wouldn’t have washed. I’m hoping they are currently planning for life after PC but keeping him until it’s sorted 🤞

What they would have said wasn’t as important as fronting it up and taking the fan anger on board. And yes, they’d have been slaughtered for it. But they hid, literally turned off all communication for five days. A lot of supporters have the impression that the club have accepted being second best. Silence followed by business as usual did nothing to alleviate that feeling. There’s a massive disconnect between fans and support right now and last week exacerbated that.

There were negative headlines regardless and to be honest they are irrelevant anyway - it was about the support, the club's connection with the support and future relationship with them. The least bad option was an acknowledgement of the the gravity of the situation. Instead they hid.

I’m personally not bothered by what other supporters say or think. It would have helped me understand what the board think and shown me they understand how bad a result that was. You can’t control the narrative set by the media but you can control the content they use! We failed on all accounts and somehow made a bad situation worse!

David, I think I make a comment every few weeks on the abysmal manner the club has approached communications for what seems like 30 years. (And you always agree) This feels like a new low however, and spells concern about how we are going to move forward. I recall seeing that Greig Mailer was appointed to a comms role with a solid background in football. Has he started? Is the appointment happening? I dearly wish one day we’ll be managed and run like a proper business. We don’t ask for too much. Just some fucking professionalism please.

Great pod. Agree fully on the two strikers point. Why he won’t try 3 at the back I don’t know. I’m never that into formations, but 3-5-2, 3-1-4-2 or 3-4-1-2 would seem to allow midfield and forward balance. And yes, someone on the back post at least and Zonal is pish! Zones don’t score goals, it really is that simple. Zonal marking isn’t improving for us, if you lose your man, it’s your fault and you improve or get dropped!!

Had some problems with the sound lads, it sounded like the the both of you were speaking at the same time but it was difficult to hear what was being said. Dunno if it was just my phone or the audio needs cleaned up. Not a complaint just a niggle in the sound at around 18:50 to 19:06.

Good listen. I actually couldn't even bring myself to cheer our goals on Sunday. It doesn't matter what happens in the league now. I have no hopes left for the team, so what am I cheering? A team I don't believe in, in a game that means eff all.

Good pod lads but doesn’t matter the tactics,the structure,zonal marking,2 up front or 5 up front….At the end of the day the quality is absolutely dreadful regardless of where you put them on the park….The inability of guys like Lawrence,Hagi,Diomande to pass with any sort of conviction or able to outrun or outmuscle a man is always going to be there…..This must be one of the slowest,weakest and naive Rangers sides of the last 35 years……Have you ever seen a team give so many needless fouls away in dangerous areas than us?

I agree, it is a black mark for Stewart to put his head down and hide last week. We have zero leadership at all levels of the club right now. We are an average to poor team who (like the rest of the SPL except Celtic) can raise our game for Europe, league cup final and one old firm game. I assumed Stewart was appointed to get the club sorted out for success on the pitch, I’m beginning to wonder now if the football is his lowest priority, he’s in to balance the books and dress us up so that members of the board can exit getting some of their money back. In that scenario, finishing second and maybe winning a cup will be all that’s expected of a Rangers manager and Clement can probably do that. Clements willingness to waffle shit to the fans etc maybe exactly why they won’t sack him.
