I think Clement had some bad luck last year, and could have won us the league with a bit more luck. This season, Europe apart, has been a shitshow. Unless things change we will be sacking some other manager in 12 months.

You've just got to laugh now. Barry the player? Yes. Barry the manager? You can't be serious. The final "fuck you" from the board to the fans. There's loads of experienced managers out there who would jump at the interim job but yet again, they go with the cheapest option. The Record and Go Radio will know our team line ups before the players. I can't wait to see the back of that joke of a board. It also doesn't say much for Charai or the decision making of Patrick Stewart.

Additionally, just saw the new “management team”. What a fucking shitshow. What has BF done? Greegs? Some people bemoan re-signing old players, but this is far far worse. I was clinging onto some hope we would do well in our remaining Euro fixtures but that is now pretty much gone.

I'll say what I said in the roundtable comments. I want our club to show ambition to be European player, this is not achieved by appointing a manager, interim or not with no serious management experience, it a parochial move that lacks ambition and self awareness in terms of our stature in the game. It beggars belief that after QP there was(yet again!) no plan for what seemed an inevitable outcome to most. Yet another blow, in my opinion, to a support that has been kicked time and time again. It tops a complete nightmare of a season. The last act of a board completely out of touch with the support and the standards we hold for our club. Disgusted, Mourinho must be quaking in his boots!

I'm unsure how I feel about the appointment, but one thing I would like to think will be the case is that the dressing room will now become a sink or swim area. I would imagine the message from the all is "if you want to work then great, if you don't there's the door". We shall see.

Some folk can’t be pleased. The manager HAD to go and all we need is interim to get us through the next couple of months. If the takeover (not investment) is happening there’s no way a full time appointment would be made so who’s taking the job in those circumstances other than someone who has the club in their blood. I wouldn’t have any of them in roles full time but the short term nature makes it bearable for me
