Don't understand why KT wasn't made interim until the end of the season. It's not as if Barry has a better track record in management. Charai being about makes no sense too. He was either brought in as Clement's man or the board brought him in fully aware Clement may not last the season. If it's the former he should be gone.

Like the coaching team around Ferguson. However I think it’s a very poor choice, his coaching and managerial credentials leave a lot to be desired. Clement had to go, but to sack an experienced coach with a history of winning trophies in Belgium for Ferguson (even if just for the short term) is a downgrade

Another example of Rangers fans wanting rid of someone, getting that wish, then complaining immediately (myself included) 😆 I can only assume we want someone who will shake up the squad until the takeover happens, and then get a perm manager. Surely this appointment won’t go beyond into the next season….. 😬 Feel sorry for Clement, he seems a genuine, decent guy, but he had to go.

I was against Ferguson when I heard it earlier but ultimately you're right, it doesnt matter now, its what happens after the takeover that counts, so I agree lets get behind them and see if they can restore a bit of pride between now and the end of the season.

For where we are right now, I don’t mind the Ferguson appointment. It’s not ideal but not an ideal situation. Happy enough with the coaching team, apart from Billy Dodds that is.

What earthly qualification does the Bazmeister have to be head coach at Rangers other than having been a great player in his time and lobbying for a job through the media every time we change manager? It will make for an interesting sideshow for the rest of the season though it could turn to a s&%/show in quick order. I also wouldn't have Billy 'I'm no' a Rangers fan!' Dodds anywhere near our club. He is the personification of Scottish football coaching mediocrity. Happy enough to see McCann involved but whether he'll have much of an influence is another matter. Anyway, now we can see the players Igamane and Baijrami can be with real Rangers men telling them what the club means. Hopefully we get a small bump in performance (not a given) and move onto a serious appointment in the summer.

Neil McCann always had good analysis of rangers and our issues. I think he is an intelligent coach, Billy Dodds managed ICT to a Scottish cup final, he understands the Scottish game at least.

Got to admit. It doesn’t feel like a good fit and I definitely don’t like the daily record getting their foot back in the door- but he has my support. I just hope he gets us playing as a team and up for a battle. The issue we’ve have for three years now is us getting battered by the small teams. The best rangers teams are like the cobra kai. I honestly didn't take the news of Barry seriously as head coach. A fantastic player but I'm not a fan of the appointment, & even more so with Billy Dodds who's done nothing but hate Rangers in recent years. It's probably safe to say there'll be no secrets at Rangers for the foreseeable.

Who is everyone expecting to come in and take over a shit show for 3 months? The new owners will appoint their own man. We wanted Clement gone. He is gone. If we had went for someone unconnected to the club then we would've been wanting someone who "gets it". The clubs PR won't suffer with the team appointed as they all have mates in the media. 3 month appointment, we are gonna finish 2nd, we won’t go more than one more round in Europe. It’s relatively sensible appointment and gives the new owners a chance to appoint their own man.

I welcome Barry back to the club, it would not have been as interim manager but our season is done and I want standards, character and most importantly someone to outline the environment you are operating in is very unique, unique to our history not it's just Rangers. I also expect this interim team to be effectively undertaking a scouting and analysis role to analysis who is actually equipped for the challenge of playing for this Rangers in this league.

The 3 months appointment of an interim to steady the ship makes complete sense obviously. However, bringing in a failed small club manager, who has done nothing but talk shite about the club since he left is basically another embarrassment to the club. A “staunch” pick that caters to certain elements of our support. I guess going from Gerrard and McAllister to wee Barry and Billy Doddsy is an indication of just how far we have fallen in 3.5 years.

I’m honestly not sure what type of interim team people expected. With the takeover lingering in the background it was always going to be someone with an affinity with the club imo. No serious manager is coming here for 3 months when there’s no chance it becomes permanent at the end of it Incidentally this is exactly why the club tried everything not to sack Clement. There is no solution that gets universal backing in this situation

If the alternative is keeping the shambles that was Phillipe Clement or Bazza for a few months give me Bazza all day long.

Racking my brains, so far I've got: -maybe had an entitled attitude about not getting picked more when here -was a bit of a snider playing against us afterwards -may have said something during the 2012 bloodletting, or just joined a bit too enthusiastically with the rest of the radio goons I'm sure there was some supposed quote where he was to have said he "could no longer consider [himself] a Rangers fan," but I've never seen any actual evidence of it.

He should be nowhere near the club in a coaching position , even someone like KT who is interested in coaching would have been a more sensible choice . We have a bunch of TV pundits as coaches and a goal keeping coach that has been playing golf for the last 2 years. As I said, no serious club would go down this route. Also do people think Alex Rae is not Rangers through and through. What skill set to this coaching team have to be in charge of Rangers.

I don’t know who our support thought we would go for to take the remaining games which are mainly dead rubbers bar the Europa League. The abuse getting dished out is a joke, but then a section of the support have always loved nothing better than putting the boot into some of our own. If they can instill what it takes to play for Rangers and these freeloaders take that into next season under a new manager that will do for me.

Alex Rae is a good Rangers man and one of the few, when working in the media, who doesn’t try to hide what he is either. He has received a ton of unfair criticism due to his connection with PC. Alex didn’t have the gravitas to challange the manager on his coaching style and team set up. He is a decent coach but he did what he was told under PC. As I say, the wee man is Rangers to the core and we could have done a lot worse than include him in this interim coaching team. I would have taken Alex before at least two of those appointed today,

Clement was done regardless of the potential sale and some of the players should be out the door with him. As for his replacement, the best I can say is that potentially Barry and those appointed around him will provide a bit of stability and unity until the end of the season but no longer. This will enable the new owners time to engage some grown up thinking in seeking a permanent solution.
