Yes he did in one of his first games, a draw in Europe. People just choose to forget some of the stuff that managers did.

Agree with Rob on the appointments, that was my first thoughts as well, I'm also hopeful that the 'alchemy' of the 4 new appointments is successful. I heard Clement say many times that he understood the need to win every game, maybe saying it versus living it as a player, as the 4 interim appointments did gives them a better understanding of what's required to perform in a Rangers jersey!

I don't think you can compare the Cantwell & Nsiala substitutions. Cantwell was arguing with Clement. He got hooked for ignoring him and shouting back.

The sky stat on our play since the Nsiala substitution was a disgrace with IMO only one reason and that was to allow the pantomime villain ammunition to attack. They really show their total disdain towards Rangers at every opportunity.

I think the 'bounce' that Barry brings is that he's not long enough, and may never be, down the manager career path so he's still relatable at the level of the players and probably gains that respect. Whether that translates to decent results past the first game we shall see.

For me there is a difference in taking off Nsiala and reorganising the defence, to the manager and player publicly arguing during a game, and then manager then replacing Cantwell with McCausland (kinda like for like in a positional sense). I don't think Clement would have done that to any other player, and only did it because I don't think another player would have shouted back. Look at how many times Scott Wright was anonymous yet always made it to halftime before being subbed. It was a lot. IMO if Cantwell didn't argue back he'd have stayed on at least I until halftime against Aris.

The “congrats to Don Robertson” chat is fine in the context of the advantage played BUT he doesn’t then book the player. We allow that to happen way too often and need to be at the ref for deserved bookings to the opposition to actually happen
