Simon flies solo this week as he discusses the current first team players out on loan and if they have a future at the club.

He also looks at the potential make up of the squad in the summer and what effect a potential takeover would have on the club as a whole.

Surprised you think Cifu may get another crack at us. I just don’t see him getting anywhere near a midfield setup where we have Dio, Raskin, Barron, Rice, Cameron coming in. Cifu never looked the part from day 1 and was clearly a signing that was made without proper due diligence being done over his ability to settle in the country or the league. I think we’ll come to an agreement with Aris for him to move permanently. It’s in everyone’s interests for that deal to become permanent. Tbh there’s not a single player out on loan who i think we need to see back in our jersey. We should be working hard to ensure all those loans turn into permanent transfers.

The whole Gerrard coming back talk. Gerrard had a full backroom team to help him but that has all been disbanded. Let's not forget he fucked it off after winning the league and left us up shits creak before Christmas

Knutsen would be my choice, he makes players better as seen with how Bodo/Glimt perform domestically and in Europe with their budget. He also has a style of play that works in Europe and against low blocks which is something we badly need. If he takes a percentage of incoming fees that’s fine with me because it means we are actually generating cash through player sales which is something we have never achieved as a club. Love Gerrard but not sure we can take him back and I wouldn’t take Beale back as an assistant - whose presence I think Gerrard needs to be successful.

Gerrard can GTF he is yesterday's chip paper. The Americans are nowhere near as romantic or lazy as us They will be ruthless something that's been lacking for a long time.

Doubt very much the Americans would be interested in Gerrard, and I for one would be happy with that, his time has came and went, just wouldn’t have same impact 2nd time around. As for Knutsen never done it outside of Norway, and as for give him a percentage of transfer fees not a chance. Sure they know exactly who they want as manager as well as a few players lined up so we are raring to go from the start next season.

For me, every player out on Loan doesn't have a future at Rangers. I think all the talk about who the next Gaffer is going to be should be shelved til the Season done and by with, let Barry and the Team finish their job and part ways. Hopefully on some sort of a high.

On the Dessers/Igamane topic. I think Dessers has been the reason for Igamane’s poor form. Dessers was moved into the 9 slot and Igamane moved out of position. The best we seen of Igamane was as a lone 9 or in a kind of 2 with Danilo.

I agree, but it’s a tricky one because Dessers literally can’t play anywhere else. You either play Dessers there or you bench him. Igamane can play wider / deeper, albeit it’s not his most effective position.

Maybe being too radical or hopeful but here my list of outgoings All fringe youth players who are out on loan Sell Dessers, Bajrami, Rivan & Propper Let Hagi, Lawrence Cerny, go and Tav too Davies, Dowel, Matondo, Cifuentes sell That alone should get us around £14m. A good start to buy CD CM striker and winger then supplement that with FOC and loans for players who suit Scottish football. Simples 😂

How do you define Fringe youth players, almost all of the B team are out and are having mixed results, some featuring a lot and doing well. Loaning young players out has got to become part of the pathway not just a way of easing older youths out the door.
