I assume you weren't asked to write the foreword Davie!

Directionhome

David, can you go re-record the episode please mate . It’s ‘Heart and Hands own, Nico Raskin’

Calum Robertson

Wonder if Murray will do a book signing event at NEH ?

Craig Armstrong

Saw this yesterday about Murray. Tempted to get it, but don't want to give him the money. Could be an important read though

Tamus

Well Done Nico Raskin - maybe Stamford Bridge is a realistic ambition

Graham Roy

Your analogy about defining moments is spot on can add Kenny Miller and Scott Allan signing for Celtic! Alongside Naismith and his pals press conference!(I refuse to say his name)

Vanb bryceter

Raskin for me has been the shining light in an otherwise very dark season. Hopefully we get another year and he leaves with an appropriate medal haul.

Calum Robertson

Sure David had to bite his tongue holding back what he really wanted to say about David Murray in that section of the Daily Update today

Rona Bluebell

If anyone has mettle, it’s us. We cannot be destroyed.

Andrew Wilson

Murray doesn't do Irony with the title of his book dose he!

Callum Greig

Great tune! Criminally underrated album that

Stephen

Probably do it at Celtic Park as it will be the other lot that buy this..

Allan Elder

We need to give Nico a new contract and the armband next season, guaranteed football to cement his place in the Belgium we squad and then sell him after he’s player of the tournament at WC 2026.

Jason Allan

Murray book will soon be in the bargain section with a £1 label on it, ironic that!

stephen

David was being too polite there, the memoirs of a lying bastard is something I'm not interested in.

Craig

Hi David, can you tweet the link to a page for my best friends family page who I lost recently to cancer. They are trying to raise money to keep the family home. He was 46 with three kids - a good bear. https://gofund.me/f77a091a

Colin Mathie

Mind me not to go anywhere near Murray's book.

Colin Mathie

Spot on about David Holmes btw, the real hero of our dominance in the 90's.

Steve Clark

You never know David you might get a mention in the book.😎😂

William Hughes

Big Country, what a live band. Had the pleasure of seeing them a few times. Memories from Glasgow Barrowlands, hogmanay show, must have been the early 80s. Adamson with tartan headband, pipe band took over the stage, the lot. Still one of the best gigs I ever attended.

Jamie Derrick

Has Raskin only got 2yr left on contract ?? If so he needs to extend or be sold this summer. We can’t let another asset run his contract down and get into final year

Scott Watson

2 years left on Raskin's contract, sell or extend (preferably) time isn't it?

Tom

Very good cause, hope they get to keep their home.

Stuart

Maybe H&H will get an interview in David Murray’s pre-publication publicity rounds…

Craig McWhinnie

Standing ovation, 2 MotM awards but Celtic supporters are saying he was shite and laughing that he got subbed off….in the 90th minute but funny enough they leave that bit out

littleboyblu

With 2 years to go on his contract come the summer, we need Raskin tied down to a slightly longer deal as I would love to keep him for another full season. Raskin along with Diamonde and one other be that Barron or Rice or a new signing (Lennon Miller 🤞) would be a youthful, pacey, skilful, technical & balanced midfield until we sell them all on for a fortune.

Iain Mitchell

Funnily enough I re-listened to the Murray and Me series over the weekend!

John Smith

I’d love you to review the book David

Graham Jones

Raskin was playing well under Clement, so I’m not sure we can credit his form to Barry. We can attribute Barrons return to form to Ferguson, though. We will need to work out where Raskin sits in his career, his ambitions and where we see him for next season, because we have to be working ahead of the curve regarding transfers., not behind it. We also need to market these players up in the market more. The old days of heart and hand were a world unto itself., from Murray bashing, to Lisa Stansfield’s ice docking and Joanna Lumley’s plastic arse. It really has had major surgery since it became monetised. The effects of creeping capitalism at play. Murray was a bit of a cunt, and what he tried to do to you was a fuckin’ disgrace. He did some good things, but he was as much of an egotist as Donald Trump. It was all about him. David Holmes was the architect behind the new Ranges that emerged under Souness, and had Murray left him in charge of the club after he purchased it then Rangers would be in a far stronger position than they are now. The corporate business was already being planned and built around the club under Holmes, and Murray came in and took the credit. He took the credit for the financing, when that was the clubs money supplied by the fanbase and the leverage we gave the club when negotiating sponsorships. Murray constantly spun the idea that he was responsible for financing the club, which was a lie. He allowed Advocaat to destroy the financial base we had built. Remember that Rangers has something like £20m plus in the bank with non debt when Walter left the club first tine around. Looking forward to you tearing the Rangers chapters apart when it is launched. That way I don’t need to buy the thing. That man has no idea what the feeling of the fans are towards him, because he still has his apostles in the media willing to stick their tongues up his arse to this day.

Jamie

Not related to the update but what’s the name of the American history podcasts that were done during lockdown. I had a look at collections and couldn’t see it

G Calder

I STILL see some fans saying they are grateful for all the great achievements of SDM 🤮 THERE IS NOTHING HE ACHIEVED THAT WAS WORTH THE PAIN HE CAUSED. You are 100% correct David , it was Mr Holmes that we should be thanking . (There are morons that still think that it was SDM that brought Souness & that success to Rangers!)

Harry Nolan

Murray is a self-regarding, narcissistic clown He only went on the attack when it was personal He was an awful figure for Rangers On the 'you didn't complain at the time' subject, I questioned the sustainability of our spending from 1997 onwards

Gordon Smith

There’s a clip going around on YouTube from only a couple of weeks ago, where Ally McCoist talks about what a great man the 'Minty One' is and how he regularly catches up with him. For someone who claims to be one of us fans, it’s a bit tone-deaf. For the record, he spent our money, not his, and was one of the highest spenders in Europe from 1990 to 1996. A handful of titles against poor opposition and one European run was not a good return on that investment. We should have been set up at the top of Europe and untouchable in Scotland. He will always be the man who almost ended the club; it was the dedication of the real fans that saved the club from oblivion. Can’t think of anything more emetic than his book. Wouldn’t even “steel” it to burn it.

Darren Mckee

No suprise there with they brain dead bastards, he got subbed off purely to receive a standing ovation lol.

Rose Mcloughlin

I fully understand how you David and the fans feel towards Sir David Murray but like Alistair said he was a Gentleman, he treated all the staff around him with respect , he was a popular figure at Ibrox and he and his family were Rangers mad, hence the reason I struggle so much with how things ended, I feel he might have spent to much in an attempt to bring us up to a high level to match the English leagues, but I will never believe he deliberetly sold us out....just a sad ending for everyone.

Heart and Hand

Unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for what he allowed to happen to Rangers. As the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Rose Mcloughlin

I know David I agree about the outcome but everyone who worked in Ibrox will struggle who worked and saw SDM all the time he was so well liked and admired...but I know he wasnt a fool so it leaves me so sad.....and I am excited about this new take over but nervous too...thanks to you and the other guys for all your hard work...we are the most up to date gers fans ever.
