No Gerrard please. 1 up front and let’s not be blinkered, apart from the Covid season he failed to break teams down. He used his name to jump to Aston Villa and failed on two subsequent occasions to achieve anything. If it’s him, we are chasing the name again. It’s surprises me that we’ll mention Dyche as a possibility when he’s continually been in relegation dog fights (yet a manager in Scotland who is in a similar battle gets discounted). My worry, as a support, is that we chase shiny high-profile managers, rather than effective managers.
