Desperately hoped this would work, especially with the low block but its already back firing. Unfortunately for him, little to nobody wanted him, which already meant he started on the back foot. Then it also must be said hes coming to a club where we have all endured more than enough of this to be able to put up with anymore. The new signings look decent but this "style of play" needs the bin.

Tough watch today. I've kept my fingers crossed since the pod with the Southampton supporter who said the first couple months would be rough. Honestly I just feel too apathetic to be angry at this point. Even the commentator on DAZN (canada) said this team is a far cry from the Albertz/van Bronckhorst/McCann days that he grew up watching. Pretty depressing tbh

I agree with the lads completely when they say the UECL is beyond this team. The problem I have, is that performance only further backs up the notion that this “system” is beyond these players and due to that, a fair amount of domestic games are likely beyond this team.

The 2 best players for us was Gassama and the new boy Meghoma. We had nothing up the right as Antmans passing was poor and he failed to really take players on. Russell Martin can't be blamed for the ineptitude of the Players in the first 20 mins when they completely forgot how to play football. In saying that, he is the Gaffer and it's another poor performance that'll see us now go into the Europa League as we have Zero chance of over turning a 3-1 deficit.
