Not his tactics, and it wasn't until he spoke to them at half time did they settle down. Sounds like blaming the crowd to me 🤷🏻‍♂️ He mentioned the crowd about 5 times in the first 5 minutes of the interview. Just because he said "the fans are the most important people at the club" at one point doesn't mask his distain for the fans. We are just meant to turn up and happy clap the shite his team serve up.

Sorry we're back here James. With that defending I'm not sure Europa is our level. Can you imagine coming up against Porto, Lyon or Benfica from previous seasons. I can't blindly follow that shite any longer. Martin out.

“Players reacting to the crowd” is pointing toward the players, not the fans. He mentioned numerous times, rightly, how good the fans were. At no point does he suggest a “distain” for the supporters, at any point. The only people he has ever called out thus far is underperforming players. We are all hurt after that, we could well be in for more hurt soon. But I don’t see the sense in creating even more anger for ourselves based on something that was not said.

These must be an incredibly hard shift at the moment James. Thanks for still putting this together when you probably would rather do anything else..... Everyone is beyond frustrated just now but let's not let the anger overspill on each other. When success comes again, and it will, we will have all fucking earned it.
