There’s been a lot of talk on here recently about Rangers’ standards and expectations — today it’s hard work and professionalism being highlighted. But the irony is, the loudest voices shouting about standards are often the same ones who’ve spent years defending players who’ve shown very little of either. Morelos, Cantwell, and now Igamane have all been excused time and again despite poor professionalism. Now we’ve got Raskin being made into the latest martyr, when it’s pretty obvious he’s been briefing anyone who’ll listen about his contract and internal matters. Feeding Stevie from 4Lads is no more acceptable than feeding Keith Jackson — it’s all undermining the club. The real lack of standards instead seems to sit with sections of our own support, who are willing to tolerate average players showing zero respect for Rangers, while ridiculing some of the most professional, dedicated men to pull on the jersey in recent years - Tav, Goldson, and Dessers are far from flawless, but they've always conducted themselves properly, whlst made scapegoats for all our ills.

All fair. Though I don’t think hard work and professionalism are a specifically Rangers quality. I would expect it of every footballer. What we witnessed in Bruges was so far from acceptable it’s untrue. And we do overrate certain players because when you’re starving you’ll eat anything and call it caviar. That’s due to what people have had to put up with.
