Red Star Belgrade arrive at Ibrox as we enter the Last 16 stage of the Europa League.

It's the home leg first for us this time around and we will be looking to take an advantage ahead of facing hostile conditions next week in Serbia.

Alex, Steven and Kevin are on hand for The Preview.

Predictions update :D Alex has gone 15 games without a correct score and Steven 14. Kev has had 3 in his last 13 to tighten things right up. Results wise everyone is very close, with Steven still just in front. Generally everyone predicts a win in the league (and rightly so...) so the upcoming european double header and cup games might shake things up a bit on that front Alex Correct Results : 27/45 Correct scores: 8/45 Goals for: 95/87 (+8) Goals against: 23/40 (-17) Goal difference: 72/47 (+25) Clean sheets predicted/achieved: 30/17 Clean sheets not predicted: 4 Kevin Correct Results : 27/45 Correct scores: 8/45 Goals for: 122/87 (+35) Goals against: 27/40 (-13) Goal difference: 95/47 (+46) Clean sheets predicted/achieved: 23/14 Clean sheets not predicted: 6 Steven Correct Results : 28/46 Correct scores: 7/46 Goals for: 121/89 (+32) Goals against: 29/38 (-9) Goal difference: 92/51 (+41) Clean sheets predicted/achieved: 22/13 Clean sheets not predicted: 9

Goldson, new contract, no thanks.

I've watched Katai a few times live here in the MLS. While he is very impressive on the ball, he is severely lacking in mobility. He will be a threat at set-pieces etc but other than that I would like to think we can contain him. We will need to close him down when he is within thirty yards of our goal though as he can hit the ball well. He had to leave LA Galaxy because his wife posted a few memes on Instagram during the BLM protests that meant he wouldn't be able to keep playing in such a racially-sensitive environment.

Jesus, it sounds like were facing up against the Balkan version of the Haarlem Globetrotters... do we have the required level of focus for this match at the moment or has it slipped due to our troubles in the league? A tad concerned about this match, if honest(all feels very Slavia Prague).

Thank you gentlemen, really good to savour the build-up to a really good occasion. It's a little bit of a pity that our league hiccups are preoccupying much of our attention at the moment - reaching the last 16 three years in a row is a really decent accomplishment, especially given the hurdle we had to clear this year and nights like this should be real showpiece events in the season. I'm sure Ibrox will be electric once kick off starts to approach but it's a pity we're not in a bit of a better mood to appreciate it Very interesting discussion on how long you need to give a player before judging if there is improvement. I think there are several interesting cases in the current squad Lundstram - obviously the most recent one that springs to mind, although for a player at his age it's maybe more about adaptation than improvement. Six months Aribo - I think you can make a case that it wasn't really until Gio came in that there was a prolonged spell where he had clearly gone up a level, and sadly he hasn't quite got back to there since the turn of the year. Potentially have to call it 2.5 years? Bassey - looked decent when he was rotating in last year, then had a bit of a tough game against St Mirren and vanished for most of the rest of the season. Showed a few promising signs under Gerrard but again looks to have improved by a clear margin under Gio - although of course, the fact he's playing all the time under Gio is probably not a coincidence. 1-1.5 years? Kamara - seems a long time ago now but there were plenty of people not convinced in the slightest by him when he first came in, and even at the start of last season, there was plenty of people calling for no more than 1 of the 3 of Davis/Jack/Kamara to play in the same team. Last season clearly showed a level of consistency and quality that he hadn't done before that (or sadly, again, quite lived up to since). Another 1.5-2 years? I think this is a key facet of "the trading model" that we really haven't quite been able to reconcile ourselves with so far. The nature of "buy low, sell high" means that the players you buy are not as good as the players you sell on the day that you do the transactions. I think the implication of this is we really need to start taking a MUCH longer view of recruitment - at least 2-3 windows after the fact, before you can really judge how successful it was PS: Kev, what sort of pizza did you get when you missed the previous show?

Thanks again gents. These briefings feel like we’re getting as good information as GVB and his staff.

Please call out how good opponents are at set pieces before every game cause you absolutely jinxed them there Stevo!!!!

Clearly they got wind they had been scouted by Steven and froze under the pressure of knowing he was watching them

Question I'd be interested in your thoughts on - is Gio quietly transforming or, at least, evolving Kamara? I'm thinking back to the first half against Dundee United at Ibrox in December with Lundstram/Kamara together just not working at all through to goals against Hearts and St. Johnstone and often being more advanced than Aribo last night Or is he just putting square pegs in round holes because Ramsey still isn't fit to play?
