Kev was straight on after full time on Thursday to ask if I'd updated the stats, can't image why he was so keen 😄 Kev continues his strong 2022 form with a third correct score in Europe in a row, putting him into first place in exact scores for the first time this season. Overall the podders are getting 1 in every 5.5 score predictions correct, so Kev's 4 in the last 10 (and 2 in the last 3!) is a real purple patch Steven continues to hold the narrowest of margins on overall results Alex still has a healthy advantage on overall goal difference Alex Correct Results : 29/48 Correct scores: 8/48 Goal difference: 75/51 (+24) Kevin Correct Results : 28/48 Correct scores: 10/46 Goal difference: 99/52 (+47) Steven Correct Results : 30/49 Correct scores: 8/49 Goal difference: 96/56 (+40)

Did anyone else cheer when the pen was awarded or was it just me?

Great pod as ever. All about opinions but I don’t think we base the job Aribo dies for us based on what his next move will be. He is inconsistent but over a season a guy I’m delighted to have in our squad. Imho

Steven Harrigan

Absolutely!. But my point is more with his talent he should be absolutely dominating domestic games and going to a real good club.

Can't remember a preview ever being under the hour, hope you are not running out of stamina at the critical part of the season 😂 It may not have had quite the length that we've grown accustomed to but it was still most satisfying. Many thanks for your excellent discussions as always The Aribo discussion is very interesting - he was consistently excellent for Nov-Dec and then consistently fine to good (he certainly hasn't been bad, it's just noticeably a drop from what came before) since he got back from AFCON. Alex makes a fair point about Kamara being rather surprisingly deployed further forward but that's only been in the last couple of weeks (I think). Is it maybe a fatigue thing? Was the pre-Christmas flash of brilliance just a one off and he's now back to more of his normal form levels? I've absolutely no idea, but if he's going to alternate between one block of brilliance and one block of decent, he's timed it absolutely perfectly given the block that's up after this next break...

You are right Steven, I guess I just feel he is being viewed a little harshly. Joe was probably our POTY until Christmas. Is it frustrating we don’t get a full year at that level? It definitely is but if being honest I’d say we’ve seen several seasons from Alfredo like that and we’d all busy the bank to keep him. Not a great way to make the point as of course I understand the value Alfredo brings….I guess I just feel that Joe has earned a handsome contract from us if that’s what would retain him.
