I just can’t listen to this the now man, my birthday today and they go and fuck it up!!!

Billy Poole

Gios domestic form is absolutely awful. We have regressed so far domestically this season under him. I've no faith in him as our manager

BlueJay

Thanks for doing this boys, its defo not an easy gig x

Neil 55

We could be still playing just now and still not put the ball in the net.

Graham Leatherbarrow

In the Past we used to bully them, sadly we were bullied and defence was shocking. Start again now,Aribo should be sold, never showed up in any old firm, how he played 90 mins only Gio knows.

Gary Shaw

Tbf it’s the team most would have went with but Aribo has to go down as the biggest myth I’ve seen in a Rangers jersey,Hagi is another who I’ve been really vocal on about this myth surrounding how good he is but at least Hagi gets wired in…Aribo has been a flat track bully since he signed and I would take any sort of dosh for him in the summer

Tamus

7 point lead to 6 behind, just fuck off Gio - and stick your keeping the zero up your arse

chris smith

Absolute gutting required in the summer, including Wilson and I need some very weighty reasons why it shouldnt include the manager too. Ideally, if you could do a mass clearout Id be struggling to say who we should keep beyond Bassey and Tav

Tamus

Mcgregor at fault for both goals - just fake an injury for the rest of the season Allan and retire. You're utterly done and the managers refusal to hurt your feelings has cost us £40M

David Bold

Can we all now agree that this squad is full of frauds? Covid 55 aside, they have been awful for years. They are a good side when under no pressure, e.g. European competition, but absolutely dreadful domestically. A squad assembled by a new manager, over a month or so is completely dominating Scottish football. Time to say goodbye to most of these players who are not even close to the standard we need.

Gary Shaw

The most frustrating thing is that they were blowing out their ar$e in the 2nd half hence all the cramp stoppages and we still just got it out wide and swung over cross after cross

CRAIG CASSELLS

We have to stop this nonsense that we are the better side, results snd trophies don't lie. They were comfortably the better side today, the first 5 mins aside. The match in February was as embarrassing a first 45 against them that I have witnessed in my life.

Rod Murray

No fight, no clue. Awful. This team has no spirit since Gerard left. That lot aren’t even good! I think Gio is not the man to take us forward. Sad to say but the evidence domestically is there for all to see. We are still and always will be the people.

Colin Mathie

Well the first 5 mins was great, pity we decided to not give a f*** for the other 90+.

Steven Dillon

Summed our whole season up that game! Advantage us, lose sloppy goals to a lesser opponent. End game!! 2nd in a two horse race that should’ve been wrapped up last year. Simply not good enough, not now not ever! That crown was not an easy fit guys eh!! Didn’t like it?? Thanks

David Ferguson

Gio has to go, everyone wants him to succeed but it’s clear he doesn’t have it in his locker to motivate the players

Colin Mathie

If Tav stays then the one thing we must do for next season is get him the hell away from set pieces.

Andrew Hind

This squad is done, seem to lack ideas very quickly, defense is awful, so disappointing

Gary Shaw

Got to agree….can’t stand all the cliché like “We turn up we win” or “We’re better all over the park”…We quite obviously aren’t better than them…fans just like to tell themselves this as it makes them feel a wee bit better

Allan Osborne

Trust Rangers to lose on your birthday mate, especially in that manner . It's sickening but try and have a good night and all the best.

Doug Young

Very poor. Heartless, couple of players aside. Aribo is an empty shirt at the moment and I know he's some kind of hero to most, but Ryan Kent is just dire domestically. Said couple of weeks ago we won't win anything this season and seen nothing today to suggest otherwise. Defensively shambolic all season. Thanks for doing this, guys. I'm still in a dark room seething.

Brian Moore

Bollocks! Not this pod. That excuse for a team!

Dougie Grant

Kick in the stones that was.Bassey and Lundstrum got pass marks, the rest including shagger where at fault.

Scott McDougall

Oh and to whoever threw the bottle on the park, I hope you’re caught and never darken our door again. Disgrace to our club

Allan Osborne

This is not something that's happened overnight. Failure to build on last season by making good forays into the transfer market bit us big time against Malmo, and the downer from that has carried on into the league form. Time after time the defence has shipped stupid goals and we've not been scoring enough goals from midfield. Hearts, Motherwell twice, Aberdeen twice and Ross County - that's 12 points we ought to have been winning tossed away. And both managers presided over it. Now we have to sit and watch them get direct entry to the CL on the back of our displays and hope we can somehow negotiate the qualifiers again. It's sickening, and probably the end for most of this team.

Simon Botterill

Football intelligence and game management is shocking. No one takes control of the situation, whether it's stopping aimless crosses into their box, or 'escorting' the officials off (like Joe Hart was at half time). We are too placid and meek as a team for Scottish football.

David Innes

Hate to say it but I’m now feeling the same way about Gio as I was about Pedro at this stage of the season . Are we really going to take the risk of giving him money for a re-build so he can fill the team with players who aren’t suited to Scottish football or don’t have the mentality to play for Rangers ?

Allan Osborne

I've been reading all season on FF about how bad their defence is. It might be (Europe says it is) but that's now two games in a row they've dealt with us comfortably. On paper we SHOULD be be. In reality we're not. Sad but true.

David Ferguson

To be fair managers need 3 windows but I agree with you - Gio, Voss and McKay don’t look interested

Alan Russell

The players lack effort and desire, the manager lacks killer instinct and the ability to use his bench to change the game. Trundling the hall around the defence and up the wings is not pressing football. A group of players that have chucked it in the league…but are quite happy to turn up for the glitz and glamour of Europe. Four seasons of great results have culminated in handing the spoils to them. The heart of mice.

Alastair McGeoch

Great discussion on our goal kicks! It was the same rubbish at Parkhead. My old man and I were debating it during the game. We seem to be doing it to invite the opposition on to us when our defence is not solid enough right now. We were doing that at Parkhead when they didn’t need an invite to press on to us and we continued to be hemmed in. Don’t get it.

Andy Martin

Anyone who’s watched Scottish fitbaw in the last 4 weeks knew how this game would work…the supporters knew it, the players knew it…the management decided to stick with the same approach we’ve used to that dropped points in 6 of our last 11 games 🤷🏻‍♂️

Paul Dunnachie

Playing out from the back is all very well but when you have players who don’t move the ball on well, and have an opposition closing them down from the moment the ball is coming towards them then it just doesn’t work. And has not worked all season. Aside from anything the manager tells them… surely the players can see it isn’t working?

Doug Young

And as for this standing offside at set pieces....grrrr. why not just give them a chance to put their flags up immediately? Nonsense.

Paul

Kev absolutely nailed it. Well said.

Graham Jones

No heart in the team today. When you don’t have any heart you’ve no chance. The real troubles go back to no investment, though. The recruitment has been negligent for the past three transfer windows, but when you don’t invest, especially when you are back on top, then there’s usually one outcome. That’s poor strategy, where you look at short term goals over long term. We’ll never know if that played a part in Gerrard moving south, but it’s a thought. We have a tough week ahead, where the squad need to regroup quickly, and not feel sorry for themselves, as we have a huge game in Portugal coming up.

Gordon Millar

Great to have Cammy back, tough talking required, why give them the satisfaction, get off the pitch and ask each other why the team collectively failed to turn up in a must win game. @ Kev couldn't agree more, Kent's race was run why not give Diallo 5-10 mins....do something, anything because it was obvious, it wasn't fucking working. Asked James on the CEO chat a few weeks ago if we had the squad depth and quality to challenge on all fronts....got my answer today, major rebuild required and no player is safe, move them on and reinvest as we should have done last year, its what great teams of the past have done....thanks for pulling this together Colin and to all the lads, couldn't have been easy!

Steven Lees

12 point turnaround since January. Lack of any obvious match plan after the equaliser. Sorry I just see us going backwards and quickly! Aribo hasn’t kicked a ball since Winter break and still plays 90? The constant shit Tav corners, try a fucking inswinger FFS! Sickening as it’s the same old song and dance and Gio can’t change it! At some point you have to accept it’s not just the players but the ability to actually manage them.

Jack Mair

This pod could’ve been you 4 screaming in rage 😡 probably would’ve summed it up better

Douglas Hannah

How Aribo managed to appear after half time us a mystery to me, he caused us far more problems than he caused them, save me the AFCON excuse, that was a lazy lazy performance from a guy that looked he couldn’t be arsed. Lundstram and Bassey are only players I’d give pass marks to. Too many 2nd to every ball in a game at home where a win takes us level, absolute criminal performance.

Simon H&H

Was very hard to try hold back. Sadly I think Gio himself knows he’s not the man for the job. He should get to see the season out but honestly I think he will walk end of it.

Gary Shaw

Spot on mate…even his “good” performances before Christmas always came against the absolute jobbers of the League…Yet to see him have a major impact in a big game…I see some fans having a go at Kent but he has credit in the bank for his performances in the past against them and some top showings in Europe..can never accuse Kent of curling up and shitting himself either

Chris Pryde

Think we need to start realising that last seasons performances is the outlier and that our team is pretty average when under pressure. We have no goal threat outside of Alfie. We have a midfield incapable of creating or shooting so all our goals have to come from wide. I would play Lowry infront of Aribo on current form and this is going to be a big summer to rebuild a team on a budget now we fucked CL qualification

Scott Watson

Fair play to you all for recording that, doubt any of you were in the mood for it!

David Hanlon

Plain and simple roofe not good enough. When Alfie is missing we are terrible up front. This should have been sorted out years ago. We need someone to replace Alfie.

Iain MacDougall

There is a very long list of players that need to go when the season is done. We were 7 points clear when GIO came in, now 6 behind. His Euro results are stopping very serious questions being asked, however, he needs a full window and pre season with his players before we can really judge him!! How Aribo played a full 90 mins is beyond me.

Spoon

This squad has at times punched well above its weight and we have seen when everyone is in full fitness, has form and there is belief they can play. This is evident in Europe where the occasion and style clearly suits both our style and tactics. The flip side is there are far too many players who for various reasons can’t or don’t bring their best often enough in a season to justify them being at the club. Some are overhyped based on very little like Helander who is rarely available or when he is he isn’t match fit or sharp or are guys like Arfield who turn up a few games a year and the rest of their rep is based on being a good bear and industrious. We have guys like Sakala who while the most likeable man on earth looks a lot like he might be another of George Weahs cousins as he is basically a headless chicken who shows no sign of learning how to play in a team. We have to stop pretending, there isn’t the quality we thought we had and there is little depth. I actually can’t believe we constantly talk about having two central defenders who we think it’s acceptable can’t play consecutive games in Balogun and Helander, how the hell are we supposed to gel when it’s accepted they are just unable to play a sequence of games?! It’s madness. Time for sentiment to be binned, get rid of the dross, get rid of those who can’t play week in week out (or don’t have the quality) and get people we can count on and who can graft in a game. I know a lot of folk put significant blame on Gio but I don’t know what he can do when he has a squad that can go out and battle Dortmund etc then capitulate against that team of bang average players today. It’s not tactics it’s individuals not having the desire, healthy arrogance or balls to gut these games out. The biggest downer is they again think they are good, they think the are the better team and while results recently might agree I don’t think they are, they do however have the right attitude which we lack.

Michael Ellison

Fifty five was fantastic. But. We know now that this season is one too many for a few of these players. McGregor, I love him but as much as he delivered 55 he has severely hamstrung us this season. A keeper who refuses to come off his line cannot be rangers number one. The rest of them? To say that they are mentally either weak or have completely checked out says it all. A lot of them haven’t the stones to be a ranger. Big, big surgery needed this summer.

Ryan Stewart

Spot on mate, sick and tired of hearing and reading how they aren’t that good and are terrible defensively. Meanwhile they are unbeaten in 30 odd domestic games, already have a trophy in the cabinet and have now more or less won the league scoring the most goals and conceding the least. It’s the sort of talk we rightly laughed at them for peddling last season.

Tamus

That old firm sign is an absolute Riddy - some absolute fuqwittery going on within our club.

Jim Milne

There has to be significant blame on GVB IMO. Did he have a say in transfers? He has stuck with the same core group of 13ish players no matter how they perform. I don't understand how when players don't perform they aren't dropped. It seems no matter how bad some play they are guaranteed a starting spot. Start of the season goalies were rotated as per Gerrard "McGregor couldn't cope playing every game". A 12 pt swing is unforgivable. It's his job to prepare the players mentally and physically, and if they don't do the job bring in another squad player. Hagi was done in a game he should never have been playing. Helander and Balogun never seem trusted, but yet make the bench every week. What training is happening everyday? Does the defence even practise tackling and heading out crosses? and that's before we ask why Goldson doesn't just take the goal kicks long instead of fucking around with these 5 passes on the edge of the goal before he has to punt it anyway because of being under pressure. This team believed the hype, and didn't realise hardwork beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. I'm finding it hard to get positive for Braga knowing this same team will play the same tactics and somehow expect Roofe to become Morelos.

Spoon

I think what is criminal is we now accept half our team are unable to play the majority of games in a season like it’s the norm. We all talk about the need for consistency in selection to build that slickness but at the same time it’s now just a thing that we have guys who we can’t keep in team for more that a few games before them needing a rest ! How we normalised a squad full of half fit players is mental, every team has a few but we easily have a full 11 of not available week in week out guys and have had for a few seasons. What also seems mental is the lack of a coaching plan for guys who have talent but are flawed or raw. Who is working with our assets to develop them ? The idea is bigger clubs have great coaches who shape and nurture talent, we identify potential, bring it in, play them a few games then decided they are gash and they disappear to bench to eventually be sold off at cut price. That’s just not acceptable for me, we are meant to improve them not but I’m ready made players constantly, it’s no surprise guys like Lundstrum look better when settled in and up to speed by getting game time.

AGS

Tavernier experiment should’ve finished last season- 29 years old and the best season he’s ever had: shake hands and move on (2016 cup final showed his defensive qualities); he should’ve been chased, Goldson sold as he didn’t want to stay and done something with Paterson and brought in a new centre half. Morelos should’ve been sold at the time too. Instead of the “player trading” model we’ve held onto players too long and it’s looking like a major rebuild again
