David Ferguson

Can’t listen to this. Don’t want to listen to Gios sound bytes - he’s not the man to take us forward

Martin Davies

McGregor was poor at both goals yet again. He should have been replaced after the semi as Gio's first act. Aribo was a disgrace today. I can forgive players having an off day, but I can't forgive a lack of effort and desire. He wouldn't have needed a shower after the game. And why do we have so many fuckin defensive midfielders who all offer the same thing? No game changers on the bench. Finishing with Goldson at no 9 and Tav at no 10 - sums it up. All of this season's problems in a 90 minute nutshell. Pissed off.

The Gallant Pioneer

Our euro performances have def taken the eyes of our league form. Thing GVB need to buck uo

Paul

Only way to make up for this disaster is win Europa league. Disappointing how easily we’ve ceded the title to a rubbish ceptic side. We were scared in possession and bent over for them out of possession. Ffs after such a promising start.

Douglas Morrison

Agree about McGregor, he's been brilliant in Europe but he's lost us 10 points this season and if Goldson misses the first ball we're flapping all over the place

Alan Black

Big clear out required starting with the manager and Dof, utter shambles of a season from Malmö to Friendly matches against the horrible mob. Sadly the same mistakes that have cost all season will cost us in the semi as nothing will be changed.

Craig Lamont

#1 League's over #2 I'd keep Lundstram, Bassey, Jack and Morelos if he commits to a new contract. The rest for me can get so far to fuck its unreal. #3 Lowry, McCann, King and possibly Weston should feature in every league game from now on and judge them for next year. #4 Draws at home versus Hearts and Motherwell(twice), from winning positions, is the real difference in the League. Gerrard owns 2 of them. Hope that doesn't get forgotten in the fallout. #5 I'll always love you Glasgow Rangers..... some of the Shitehawks that have played the last 3 or 4 years, not so much. ❤🤍💙

Martin Davies

I get that Lowry is young and inexperienced, but surely as an attacking midfielder he'd have been a better option than one of the THREE defensive midfielders we had on the bench.

Alan Cowan

How inspiring was that presser. He is a bore. Cannot imagine what training must be like. Sorry, time for him to go.

David

Times up for Gio

Michael Gray

💯 Adam. Lack of goals is more of a systemic problem in this team, even though defending has been shocking this season.

Gary Shaw

How Lowry can’t even get on the bench is really worrying for me…I genuinely think he’s different to anything we have and that 2nd half would have been made for him….sick of all this crap that he’s too young, not built enough etc what a load of nonsense…nobody is telling me he wouldn’t have been a better option than Aribo the imposter

David Bold

I don't get why anyone would keep Morelos? He does not score enough goals when it really matters, i.e. domestically. We do not win trophies with Morelos as main striker, we watch Celtic win trebles.

Neil Wilson

Irrespective of the result today, we're at the end of the cycle with this group of players. A few will retire, a few will leave on bosmans and a few are unlikely to sign new contracts so have to be sold. I would think that following players will be gone: McGregor (retire), Goldson (bosman), Balogun (bosman), Helander (sold), Barasic (sold), Kent (sold), Aribo (sold), Davis (retire), Morelos (sold), Ramsay (end of loan), Diallo (end of loan). Due to our financial issues, we've had to work hard in the market to find talent we could win with and develop. I would imagine they'll be some good money generated from player sales that should hopefully allow us to shop in a better, further developed part of the transfer market.

Paul

Aribo has been a massive disappointment overall. Doesn't score enough goals and goes missing in big games. Happily sell in the summer. Tired of seeing the same players hold on to the ball for too long and pass side to side. Major rebuild ahead

Graham Jones

Lack of heart today, but a lack of investment for three windows now. The blame needs to be spread onto other shoulders apart for the players and manager. The board are lacking a long term strategy. That would’ve involved investing when we were on top in the summer, but we’ve seen three windows pass with short term loans, and free signings for the most part. Profit from this season will not be enough to cover a proper rebuild, and Wilson has failed to provide evidence that he can pull rabbits out of a hat. The board will need to step up and make sure the team is strengthened.

Darren Stewart

Do you trust Ross Wilson and that specky hotdog Robertson with the re-build needed? I don't.

Neil Wilson

We don't know. They haven't done a massive rebuild with cash before. We'll have to wait and see.

Jack Mair

Pathetic today same crap Chuck a ball in our box and chaos happens can’t deal with simple stuff. Off topic from the football but I’m angry so I’ll say the row in front of us in club deck we had 4 “vloggers” decked head to toe in green recording the games and clapping when they scored. Dangerous and stupid but how the hell do they get tickets?

Gary Shaw

He’s a flat track bully mate, always has been…never got the love in for him…if fans are getting excited about a few step overs and a couple of curlers against Dundee,Ross County and the likes then we really do have a gullible fan base

Brian Rae

No investment and poor recruitment over 3 windows has caused this. I thought it was common knowledge that you strengthen from a position of strength. We haven't and it was clear at the end of August that we had regressed. If major investment isn't forthcoming in the summer, they will go further ahead. The recruitment team and manager will be a discussion for the end of the season but it shouldn't be a given that GVB gets the summer window as if we now collapse even further, he should be sacked. It also has to be highlighted that Tav and Morelos as well as Mark Allen signings are our main players that we still rely on the most. This is unacceptable on all levels. For me, the board have massively failed in their duty this season and the nepotism and complacency is a major issue.

Robert Atkinson

We didn’t lose the league today, it was lost when we allowed Ross Wilson another transfer window and he came up with gimmicks.

Robert White

We haven't lost the league yet. Yes it's a long shot but they have bottled worse than is needed. They have outspent us by miles yet we could easily have won today. Lots of criticism can be made and a few good points made in the comments but...Still for me what a journey: we are now and forevermore back to being Rangers and it will be again nip and tuck with them. We go again Thursday!

Damien Stubbs

Same shite being sprouted by Gio, different week.

Ian Donaldson

Don’t agree that it’ll be nip and tuck I’m afraid Robert, they’ll spend the champions league money that we’ve handed them, our board won’t or can’t match that spending. Going to be a while before we see the league trophy back in the ibrox trophy room.

Neil Wilson

It depends on a number of things. We still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League ourselves. We'll have money from the player sales this summer. They also might have to keep some of that money back for compensation for CSA cases.

Gary Shaw

I agree with the first part of your post re it being nip and tuck,if anything I think it could be double figures by the end of the season which would be embarrassing considering we were 6pts ahead in January….don’t agree however about it being a few years before we win the title again…they had years of CL money and big player sales and never stretched away from us and even had people saying that we were now ahead of them at the end of last season…Scottish football has a glass ceiling in terms of who us and them can bring here

Gary Shaw

It’s disappointing we don’t go straight into the CL but we don’t budget for the CL…we’ve had the sale of Patterson,Gerrard and his coaching staff a long run in Europe and hopefully a couple of half decent transfer fees in the summer…we’ve barely spent anything in transfers either in the last 18 months and still have a shot at qualifying for the group stages of the CL

Lynn Houston

Let’s be honest, it’s been a shit show domestically. The league is over. It’s whacked 10 years on me and I’m an eternal optimist. It’s time for a broad sweep of change. Can only judge what I’ve seen, young Lowry looks like an intelligent, confident footballer. What he’s like in person, I have no clue, the management do though. Today was crying out for a ball through the middle of the park….. they knew what we were doing before we did, let’s be frank, poor relations to foes of the past. I’m in Rangers prison, I either make myself miserable or strong, the effort involved is the same. See you in Braga ♥️🤍💙

Joey Muir

Two calendar years undefeated against them and Gio has lost two on the spin. We look mentally weak in the fixture again akin to the Murty/Pedro sides. You can’t have a 50% win ratio as the Rangers manager and expect to win championships. Complete and utter overhaul needed in the similar and now we won’t have £40m CL money to do it.

Adam Copeland

I've seen a few say likewise.....but for me I don't feel that bad this morning. Why? Its closure. We've seen this coming all season. Even if we'd have won or at least got the 2 - 2 then we'd have fucked up against St Mirren. I think now we can just call it day with all these players and start fresh. They have to throw the kitchen sink at the Scottish Cup and Europa and then we all shake hands and say goodbye. GvB has until Christmas to prove his worth. If he were to leave in Summer however, I wouldn't lose sleep.

George Higgins

Utterly embarrassing Old Firm logos everywhere . Why ? If it’s to annoy Them it is beneath the standard I expect of our board.

Craig Woods

Honestly cant find anyway of convincing mysslf that gio is the man to take us forward. Same old rubbish after every disappointing result. We cant accept the results/performances since xmas. Europe has papered over the cracks. The guy just hasnt got it.

Gary Shaw

Totally agree…this is not knee jerk or hindsight but I never got a good feeling from GVB from his very first press conference, his previous managerial credentials were not exactly mind blowing but I gave him the benefit of managing probably the 3rd best side in Holland tbf…I also keep hearing how he tightened us up when he arrived but I don’t fully buy in to that…McGregor had started making saves he wasn’t under SGs last few weeks and some of the performances against Hibs were we won with a pen and against Dundee Utd U12s we’re once again we needed a pen,we were absolutely disgusting to watch….our goal led a charmed life at Tynecastle before Christmas aswell……All that plus I was a massive Stevie G fanboy 😂😂

Craig Woods

Spot on. Tynecastle in december is a prime example. We couldve lost 2/3 goals that day and couldnt have complained much. The amount of chances we concede from crossed balls is just baffling. Other than on the counter attack, i dont see any signs of any sort of identity to our attacking play. We have unfortunately regressed under gio, as much as i hate to admit it.

Gazza_Hendo

Time for a new formation until Morelos comes back.. what use is a manager who can’t get the team to defend crossed balls? Another loss to them in the cup and I think he has to go

AGS

McGregor cause’s havoc in that defence, they know he won’t come so we have to defend in the 6 yard box
