Colin is joined by David Marshall for more aftermath from last night, a look ahead to Saint Mirren and more.

You may remember we did a competition on last Fridays Update to win a 55 Print, the winner selected was David Clapperton.  Send me an email David to colin@heartandhand.co.uk and we will get your prize to you.

The sooner GvB is punted the better unfortunately.

Ski Sunday music - a comment on our progress this season maybe?

Loving the positivity chaps. Feeling the same way lads ☹️

Steve Clark

I think David put it very succinctly what we are all thinking “fucking Hell”

I’m by no means a happy clapper. I have not been impressed at all by the team recently, I haven't been impressed by tactics, personnel selection, effort or attitude. I am not deluded that this team has particularly inspired confidence but... Surely, we need to recognise there are a few games to go and we can take at least 3 points from them IF we get our act together? This hasn't gone yet! People hark back to the keep believing season and yet it seems one set back while the league is still a possibility and it’s a meltdown and bloodletting. There are 6 points in it and enough games for something to happen. I get the position we are in, I get the malaise but FFS it’s not actually done in the league and we have other potential prizes still up for grabs, isn’t it a bit early to be hoisting the white flag? Some of the rhetoric is a bit much, and the most important thing for me is that no matter how unlikely it is that they will slip up imagine the utter shit show if they do collapse / get injuries / revert back to start of season form and we have chucked it when it was still potentially on? Have we lost the no surrender attitude to surrender if it looks a bit naff as we are in the huff? It would be criminal not to push them, but most importantly we need to find the spark and form at the very least for the other competitions. We cannot contemplate capitulating a Euro quarter final just because the league forms gone wrong, if we take this defeatist attitude into every game, we will be a self-fulfilling prophecy and will fail. I’m not delusional and I’m not blind but I cannot get the attitude that’s it's all fucked now and we should just write of the season. We can't expect a fight to the death from the players while we are already waiting for disappointment on the stands. Gio may or may not turn out to be the man, the players may well be fragile mentally or they might rally, the team might peter out the rest of the season or it might just surprise us and find something in terms of form and results. Until its impossible surely, we need to at least give them the support and opportunity to rescue something from the recent disappointment no matter how unlikely it is.

I was beginning to think I was doom and glooming myself to a lonely hell, so good to hear I'll have David Marshall for company. The only way is up.

Ross Adair

Nice one lads. I’m away for a line of salt, a shot of tequila, then squeeze a couple a lemons in my eyes to cheer me up 😅

Was just about to listen but had a quick scan of the comments first... think i will give it a miss.

not looking forward to Sunday, I have a ticket and i just think it will be a case of same old shite. Gio is going to be hard pushed to turn this around because he's losing the will of the support at an alarming rate and even the way he conducts his press conferences have become a source of irritation to the fans. This team has long since passed it's sell by date, i don't think we will win anything, I think *they* will inexplcably win a treble and we will end with nothing. That's what my head is telling me, my heart is too fucking heavy to comment.

Braga looked much better than us. They were technically better and they had players running into space to receive the ball. We cannot do the simple things like finding a team mate with short passes. McGregor with the ball at his feet is a bombscare.

Stephen

The players go out onto the pitch and play the game.its down to them. They lost form at the time of the league cup semi. They pulled there finger out and put in a shift. These players have previous. Particularly Goldson. I think he has a lot of influence in the background and the sooner we replace him the better. GVBs gonna need time .

craig rodger

Can someone take David Marshalls shoe laces off him.

Damien Stubbs

“Fucking hell”🤣🤣🤣. Yes. 👌🏼👏🏻 well said David.

Damien Stubbs

One of the things I love about heart and hand is that across the array of shows you can usually find someone that says it exactly how you feel, cathartic. Whilst you also get the opposing more positive views to lift you up or challenge your “fucking hell” mentality

Rona Bluebell

Yup. I’ve now prepared for no silverware and THEM winning the treble. Total turnaround from last week. Heartbreaking to admit it 😔

Rona Bluebell

See, I don’t think they were. No one we’ve played this season is that much better than us. Nearly every game we’ve lost has been down to us rather than talented opposition. We’re the problem. Always.

Gordon Millar

Hearing a lot of negativity towards GVB and I respect that there is grounds for worry and risk of failure....but if we as a support don't get behind him and the team, who will? There is still prizes to be fought for IF we can rally as a club/support and the team starts to believe, we can play a part in this. If we are to satisfy a worryingly growing group and get rid of Gio (which is ludicrous IMO) then who of any great quality would take on the job after he has gone? Cool heads are needed. If we are 12 months on and he hasn't bought the right players and gradually introduced youth, then I get it, too soon for me but respect others will have a different opinion.

greg dunlop

it feels like with the last few games, its been a case of "the worst thing is they arent even that good", so where are we in amongst that? we've been largely pish all season bar a few games, and any time we play a team that "arent that good", we f*#k it. does that mean we arent a good team, or a team that were good and just going through a bad season?

John Monk

Lasted 8mins of this, that was depressing. Sure the performance wasn’t great in parts and the team defo seem to be struggling adapting to life without Alfie (which of course they shouldn’t have to depend on him so heavily) but you’d think that Braga smashed us with the tie now being a formality. I have faith that they will bring a performance worthy of the Ibrox crowd on Thursday.

Douglas Stuart

Ffs lads. That was the most depressing daily update yet. Night ruined!!

Gary Brown

Well said re the arrested bottle thrower. Maybe put this update out as the next Feeling Blue episode?

Alan Cowan

Whatever the issue is no doubt it will be money related.
