After the highs of the past week, we now head to an earlier than originally scheduled match at Fir Park against a Motherwell side who despite their early-season form just narrowly secured a top 6 finish.

Alex, Steven and Kevin are all on hand to provide The Preview.

Play Itten and Sakala and by the law of averages we should win about 14-0

Not sure if I agree about being misty eyed about 55 season. We went unbeaten and had one of the best defence records ever in comparison to this season were we are 6 points behind with 5 to go. Only failings were the cup comps but I was happy with how we done in Europe last year. Yes some games weren’t great to watch but that is to be be expected from any team. However this seasons collapse isn’t all on the shoulders of Gio as the inconsistency was rife with Gerrard as well. But we were still 6 points clear at that point.

This nonsense about Wright turned his back is nonsense. He was getting organised, I’ve seen it countless times. He’s a squad player though, no more, and it does make a difference to home grown. Youngsters don’t count to the 22/25 so if you lose Wright it’s less options while you could have him and a youngster. Unless we get someone better in Scottish.

Re Lowry, we should offer him mega bucks - with the money coming from the wages saved by letting go McGregor, Arfield, Davis, Ramsey, Diallo etc If Lowry turns out to be as good as we hope, we'll cash in big time in a couple of years. If not, we've only paid him money these players were getting anyway. Lowry could be a great player for us, on and off the park. Get that money on the table.

Thank you as always gentlemen, this preview was so intense that I was seeing double 😃 Only managed to listen right before the match so I'm obviously speaking with a bit of hindsight but I thought the Scott Wright discussion was very interesting. In some ways he's like an upgraded Brandon Barker. Barker obviously ended his time at Ibrox as a bit of a joke figure, but people might forget some of the games he started in - Celtic at parkhead, Porto home and away, Leverkusen away. Games where tactical discipline, off the ball work and the threat of pace were vital. Wright has those qualities but is a bit better in a creative sense. The question with him is if he can develop that attacking output any further and there hasn't been an awful lot of evidence to suggest he can this season but maybe the last few games are just hinting that there's signs of improvement. Too little, too late? Quite possibly In the era of 9 on the bench and 5 subs I still think he's a decent squad option, I imagine (with no basis in research) that he's not on a vast wage and is probably not bad value for it. I do take Strider's point that decent squad options take minutes from youngsters with potential to be more than that but I'm not sure Lowry and Wright would be competing for the same spot in the team very often
