Do we dare the infamous Craig Levein tactic of 4-6-0 ?

Graeme Price

Nothing wrong with 5-3-2, leave Kent and Sakala up front. Our problem is losing goals, need some other big players to step up in this period.

Martin Boyd

How can it be a sad indictment of our youth policy? We were only allowed to give 2 year contract to Lowry which now isn’t quite half way through. It is a sad indictment of Brexit , now English clubs will be looking up North instead of Europe. Also a sad indictment of our place in the football money tree.

Jeb

I fear playing tav and borna on the wings we will revert to crossing tennis. With Fash and RKO up top we won't win a lot of headers. Definitely a conundrum.

Colin

Let me word that better. It’s a sad indictment of where we are in regards to youth that we potentially lose any promising ones or have the fear of losing them because other leagues can offer them a fortune before we even get ten matches out of them. Our youth set up is excellent and doing great things but this is a frustration for me that we lose or face losing anyone decent before we even get a turn of them.

Colin Mathie

Our injury situation is pathetic really, im getting sick of it, the medical team seriously needs looked at.

John Smith

I just wanted to add in here, speedy recovery and all my love sent to the Goalie, Andy Goram 🙏

I quite liked Mcinnes's idea of Kent through the middle but his finishing this season makes me think maybe not and I think sakala can suddenly take off for us and maybe this is his chance to do just that and missing Kent tracking back on the wing would be a big miss. Maybe giving one of the youngsters who can finish a chance in a league game ie McCann or Weston could be good for us, if we made them chances I think they would take them.

That article from the Record about lots of us being in the home end in Leipzig is one of the worst I've ever read - I'm not convinced that guy they interviewed has ever been to a game in Germany! There's a completely different culture here of fans mixing except in certain areas (i.e. the "home end", where the Ultras or other fan groups are based). The first time I went to the Köln v Gladbach derby I was in shock as there were so many Gladbach fans wearing colours among the home support - they even celebrated goals! It's the same when most bigger teams come to Köln, and the same applies at most grounds in Germany. I can't think of any precedence for away fans or away colours being banned from all home sections?? And the idea of a German football club trawling ticket bookings for foreign-sounding names is absolutely bonkers

Totally agree Colin, there should be a rule that prevents clubs youngsters from being poached until they are a certain age or have broken into the 1st team and played for a while. If the club wants to keep them anyway, doesn't seem fair on clubs who do the hard work developing them only to lose them for peanuts before they get any use out of them.

Stephen

To be fair, we probably do that to other teams at youth level. I doubt Blackpool got much money when we took Weston. It works both ways.

The idea of football tourism seems to be really embraced there. Helps explain why so many middle of the road teams have massive stadium (and yes I know €14 tickets also help) I know Fulham have a small neutral section to take advantage of London tourists Certainly seems something the club and Scotland as a whole could do a lot better. I know the Vloggers get a bit of grief about not deserving tickets but it shows we do have something unique outsiders want to experience

David_Davy_Dave

And I should add you’re making me feel better about having bought a ticket. We are in Section C Block 2 which is pretty close to official Gers allocation so hoping plenty others around too

Scott Watson

Has Borna been gargling razor blades? He sounds rough as toast

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update Colin 👍

Gerrard was asking for the board to invest at the right time, because he knew it’s a golden rule to strengthen when you’re at the top. We all get that there’s a budget, but he was asking them to make one last push for the Champions League and to retain the title. It’s looking like it’s cost us the latter, and we will need to win the Europa to get Champions League next season, which simply isn’t a given. Germany has just gotten even herder next week after the injury news today.

Love that classic Jersey Roofe is wearing
