Strewth lads are back, this time looking at our great European runs of the past. Firstly it's season 1992/93, the inaugural season of the champions league. Some classic results and performances against the best of the best at that time.

Thank again Dan & Jace for your great pod and your memories of this 'well kent tale'. Always nice to hear another perspective, still the same unhappy ending though 😒 - robbed by the corrupt Tapie!!🤬 As for Sydney Cup continued fiasco. My heart goes out to OzBears, I was one (of the few, it seemed,) who didn't have an issue with the game. I don't see how the club can assist. Tickets purchased presumably from organisers were they? Not RFC? Perhaps the club bringing it to organiser's attention may help but given the discord between them, allegation & counter allegation, I'd guess relations are strained. The event is now not as advertised, so rights to a refund (but check small print T&Cs just in case they're in as much finacial poop as RFC suggested!) Online purchases no doubt!? So credit / debit card must have been used and recourse action for refunds via that route. Again, due to change of product purchased. Compare it to a concert with act changed / cancelled for those who don't understand the football team element. Flights & hotels, should be easy enough to cancel & refund 6 months in advance. Hope the guys get refunded.

Cheers Gary .. appreciated Yes I agree not really Rangers problem more the organisers but with that said I would hope rangers could put a little pressure on the organisers although that relationship must be pretty stretched ... I guess the point was just getting it out to the non southern hemisphere listeners .. shit show from start to finish unfortunately Regards that euro run .. A tale of what if ... We could have been the first kings of the champs league .... f@cking Tapie!!!

👍 you guys brought it to light, hadn't heard a peep. Perhaps an email to club (puts it right under their nose, eh?) just asking for advice / person to contact, a central figure they dealt with, pointing out the difficulties OzBears are having. The club do have to shoulder some responsibility for it. They agreed to it knowing they would get tremendous support / attendance from bears in the region and I fully believe 'taking the team to the fans' was a major factor in their original decision. Worth going to the trouble of typing out an email !!

Guys, everyone will get their ticket money back eventually. They will likely offer a new team for the tournament and offer us to swap out tickets for that. When we refuse, they will undoubtedly refund us. And if they don’t, let me know and I’ll sue them for everyone!
