Another excellent hamper, guys ! Yes, Greegsy is a legend, but in the last few years he’s come off his line less and less to the point where it’s actually embarrassing. I’m not sure how anyone can say that Greegsy is still our best keeper, given that McLaughlin has rarely if ever let us down, and I can’t think of any obvious weaknesses he has. Time for Greegsy to step aside and leave us with the fantastic memories of the keeper he used to be.

I would like to see McLaughlin given a shot next season as our no 1 and failing that give McCrorie a go but somehow I think Gio will sign a keeper in the summer.

Seems Wright is the classic Scottish homegrown whipping boy these days. High rightly identifies that he has played well, he has built some form and there might just be a player there. If our attitude is more in David’s camp that you have either got it or you don’t then the only players worth buying are all out of our price range as at our level every player requires coached to fill a gap in their game. I am always bemused about why we even have coaches of players can’t be improved, we talk about exciting young managers getting the best from players but we don’t practice what we preach. If a player has a FM type trajectory that can’t be altered then we could bin all our coaching team and just spend the cash on ‘finished articles’. Wright is far from perfect but he’s young and Scottish and has talent, pace and potential it’s up to us to unlock it. Compared to Sakala who has many of the same attributes he is already better as he can follow instruction and play to a game plan where Sakala is just chaotic and shows little more in terms of composure or even more importantly a team awareness. I think the fact Wright is starting more than Sakala shows what the staff think or the respectively. Think personally we write off these domestic guys far too easily and it’s more about the individuals personal choice then the numbers or contribution they make, in fairness folk still think Diallo is worth playing and I can’t believe he is even still here or getting on bench so maybe I’m just as bad. I would be giving Wright games on run in and seeing what we can get from him, if he gets a run I am confident he can develop.

Thanks for reading out the questions Hoggy, sorry for them being so crap! 😂

My favourite show of the week, can't agree that McGregor is the best goalkeeper at the club. He's cost us so many goals and points this season. The manager should have put McGregor's feelings aside and dropped him for the benefit of the team. I keep hearing that Greegs is a great shot stopper, mibbee if he came off his line and took the simple catch, he wouldn't have to make so many point blank saves, I can't recall a single mistake John mcLaughlin has ever made for us

Re Hall of Fame, the omission of Smudger is shocking

David, that non HOF team is awful!!!

Scott Wright did his job well on Thursday and maybe isn't shown very well on TV , both of Leipzigs flanks attacked with 3 players meaning Barisic Kamara and Kent matching up when Red Bull had the ball their right-hand side with Tav Jack and Scott Wright matchibg up on our right side , Wright and Kents job was to mark the space between the the central defender and the furthest back wide player of Red Bull the TV doesn't always show the off the ball running the Leipzig players were making but was something I noticed at the game but as always with Rangers we need a player to knock

David Kiltie

Hoggy and David, well done on a great discussion. I agree that tomorrow is secondary in terms of this week’s matches. Agree also about Ange’s comments. If we had been knocked out of 3 European competitions in one season our manager would be ill-advised to make any jibes on that subject. Interesting point about our failure to invest last summer. We needed to sell players and refresh the squad. For Gerrard to veto that then leave in the same season doesn’t sit right with me. To be fair to that lot they sold players who had run their race (eg Edouard, Ajer) and reinvested wisely. We need to follow that model this summer.

David, would you stop playing/eating your Tesco value mic all the way through the pod! Christ man 😂🤦‍♂️ Also, don’t think at all that Hartson, Sutton etc are paid by Celtic nor do I think Celtic tell them to say anything. I think that’s tinpot thinking and a bit paranoid. I reckon those two and also commons do it off their own backs as that’s the way that lot are in general. P.S. love the pod as always.

Thanks for this show Hoggy. Can I take a pair of those tickets if they’ve not already gone.

Andrew Finlayson

Mcgregor still the best keeper on the books ? Neil Alexander all day long over 2022 Allan Mcgregor for that fantasy European team. He has been atrocious this season in the league, i’d argue he’s cost us the league with continually failing in the basics of goalkeeping. I find it baffling he’s still our No 1.

Hoggy

Yours Sandy. Thanks for supporting. Email me at hoggy@heartandhand.co.uk and we can sort out

Gary Brown

A comment regarding the latest out comings on Sportemon Go. I commented on a hamper previously and slated Bisgrove and his dealings, it got laughed at. Today it’s came out he has dealt with a company who’s legitimacy has been questioned. Again, if we dig beyond the surface we see there are plenty of people stealing a living at our club. Wilson, Robertson and Bisgrove to name a few.
