Hoggy and David get together on the 10th anniversary of the second leg to discuss an unforgettable European triumph. The UEFA Cup Semi-Final pitched us against a very good Serie A side - this is what happened. Sit back and enjoy sitters, Sasa's clearances and Nacho!

Anyone guess if Hoggy had company?

I'm lucky enough to have very early memories of playing Leeds where my love of Super Ally began to bloom and so have been lucky enough to enjoy a number of great games. Without a doubt though, my favourite, most emotional and memorable game is the Fiorentina game. I watched it surrounded by Bears in the Dundee Students Union and when Nacho's pen went in the place went ballistic. I think I hugged about 30 strangers just then, then folk in the streets as I drunkenly wandered about in my top (now one of my favourites due to the memories). Nothing has come close to that memory until this year. Both Dortmund games were amazing and despite watching it on my own in my flat this time, the Leipzig final whistle felt almost as good hearing the fans explode in the stands as I danced around my living room. Like many Gers no doubt I go into big European games often with a sense of bravado that we can win, even if I don't quite believe it, but this year, this final and this team... I absolutely believe we can.

I stayed a damp room above a pub in Warrington, and the landlord was a massive Clannad fan who would actually over-ride jukebox selections to play their songs. Doing it over The Best went down like a lead balloon though!

I have really enjoyed these look backs , not been able to concentrate on much for a few days so headphones on and listening to these have helped immensely. Don’t remember much about either of these games there was probably a bit of self preservation going on in my mind thinking we have done brilliantly to get this far no shame going out now. Although I do remember hyperventilating during the penalties and pacing the living room hoping that the ambulance service in East Kent was at work.

I watched the second leg in the NYC Rangers bar with my mum and 2 sisters. Had arrived that day to spend the weekend there for my mums 70th. We all ended up out on the street at the final whistle celebrating. Locals sitting in their cars confused about what the hell was going on.
