David sits down with Steven to talk about modern journalists and the differences in styles from the past.

In particular, he provides us with some much-needed background on the much-publicised walkout at the football writers' dinner.

Excellent as usual, not sure that you had to record it twice. 😂

Great pod. Can hear David well and clear but sorry Steven, you sound distant and a bit echoey. Got you on max volume Steven but struggling

And they wonder why mainstream journalism is dead. What a dreadful chauvinist old school attitude. Truly awful.

Gary Brown

Always very interesting to hear the 'no holds barred' opinions of Mr Leggat. Thanks for bringing this to us Steven but you do sound like you're under a blanket in a cellar!

I tend to agree with Leggo on the nonsense that went on at the writers dinner.

Or - he highlighted how EB's confected outrage was at odds with her subsequent actions, for one so supposedly disgusted. And mainstream media is dying on its arse because of the internet and social media. It's that simple.

Stopped listening to this show a few months back for this very reason. Not sure what made me put this episode on tonight, but I've turned it off after 5 minues and won't be listening to any more. Absolutely love H&H and 99.9% of the content, but a bit perplexed at why this guy is still getting the airtime if I'm totally honest 🤔

Dougie Jones

Always invigorating listening to Leggo in full flow. Great stuff.

Dougie Jones

Could be that he's a cracking journalist and engaging raconteur who's a bear and has written several books about the club? You don't have to agree with everything to respect a particular journalist. I'm a big fan of Martin Samuel, chief sportswriter of the Mail but I often vehemently disagree with the points he makes.

Colin Mathie

It maybe a flawed reason not to like her, but its good enough for me.

I hope folk are able to listen to this without bias and can come up with their own opinion. Journalists are not good if they are "one of the lads"; they are good if they report accurate news. Some of the stuff said in this episode was a bit ridiculous.

Errrm….that was a weird one. Sorry guys, gave it 15mins and that was enough for me. Dont think some of the angles presented align with what I’ve heard from David and the other podders. Genuinely dont know who the target audience is here.
