Great words David. RIP Gary thoughts with your family.

Martin Davies

Sincere condolences to Gary's family and friends. No age at all. RIP

John Smith

Hope they never get the hosting rights again.

Tamus

RIP Gary

Martin Boyd

Eufa stink , corrupt to the core , actually quite angry about the way the fans have been treated . As for Spanish cops criminals in uniform.

Steven McNeil

RIP Gary. Such a shame. Thoughts with his family.

chris smith

Rangers should fine UEFA, they are quick enough to fire out fines for anything

Agree with everything said. Was in F32 and it was horrendous. Re singing, where I was there were younger guys trying to get singing. We joined in. As I looked round though it was clear the older guys around us were all just struggling. Awful I think we have to say it was the stadium. Pre game and more generally Seville was excellent. Doesn’t excuse what went on inside obvs

Heart and Hand

I was there too and can vouch for what you said. Those of us lucky enough to have some liquid were singing, those who had no saliva were trying not to faint.

I’m still on my way back, listening at Bucharest airport. The kettling was awful and scary. It was the reason I got out asap at the end as I feared a repeat and I wouldn’t have made it. Thankfully I found a ladies and got water to drink from my cupped hands before the game but that was it. I paid £1400 for my ticket.

Rob Stewart

Davie, re the Frankfurt fans, I was sat right beside them. The concession and water situation was the same for them as it was for us. On each seat b4 the game there was flags and hats. They didnt bring them through security.

Alan Mowat

Jon McLaughlin came across twice with water or juice to the away fans at halftime and at the end

Fraser Martin

I was scared when kettled at Gate D. It was very unpleasant.

David_Davy_Dave

Maybe Rangers should apply to host a final and show them how it’s done No seriously why not

Steve Clark

Condolences to the family of gary.

Garry kirkwood

I was in block N21 was beside the toilets in the lower tier and when we went in the juice section wasn’t open. I went up about 20 mins after and only 1 was open. Was lucky enough that it was around 6:30pm so managed two get 3 bottles of juice prior to kick off luckily.

Michael Scott

Will Rangers be looking to investigate what went on and ask the question of why the fans where treated in such a vile way also RIP to Gary

Mark

Legal action should be taken here.

Graham Roy

Rest in peace Gary and thoughts and prayers with his family and friends.

Rona Bluebell

I’ve counted back and we were kettled 5 times trying to get to the stadium. Once you were locked in there was no going back, or forward. Searing heat. This was at 7pm and I didn’t get in until about 8.15.

Leslie White

Courtesy of that potential death trap stadium, I’ve been to the hospital here after a Bear fell on top of me, over there, bruised body making it hard to breath. That shower of shisters UEAFA should be prosecuted for endangering human life!

Craig

Horrible news about Gary, shocked to hear it. Same age as me, the poor guy. Let us know if there's a whip round or anything else the H&H community can do for his family.

Mark

RIP Gary. Horrible news.

Zander West

Rest in peace Gary,, heartfelt condolences to Garys family

Al H

Similar nightmare up in S43 beside the Germans most of whom were equally frustrated by the ongoing shambles as us. Doubt if there is any transparency but would like to know how selection process for uefa finals works. It beggars belief that Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan met any modern stadia selection criteria. What level of bribery and corruption is required to seal that kind of deal.

Iain MacDougall

From the videos I have watched, with fans in both the stadium and the fans zone, it seemed they were far better prepared at the fan zone! You can see people, at all stages of the game l, going off and coming back with juice or water!!

Gordon Millar

David - I got to Seville on Monday and like you had a great experience with locals very welcoming, they were bemused with the numbers that travelled but terrific. I seen a report on the Spanish sports programme Gol (Tuesday)that made it clear they expected Rangers fans to cause trouble rehashed pictures of arrests, all Rangers fans etc. This, I believe, was a factor in the way the National Police( they are the particularly brutal 1's) approached the Rangers support and the restraint shown by fans was remarkable. I went to the game with my son, but a miixture of nerves for the game, anxiety about potentially over zealous Police took something away from what should have been a magical memory......We love our team, we love our club and we were all heartbroken at the end...but you are correct in saying the environment, heat and shockingly organised facilities were nothing short of a disgrace and somehow football fans ( as you said after Bronby) apparently lose their basic human rights........a proper professional organisation would conduct a lessons learned, I won't hold my breath...

Tess

Rest easy, Gary. Same age as me, that's so very sad.

Steven L

Rest easy Gary. Such a shame.

stefan strzelecki

Shocking detail to here about the stadium. My brother informed that the stadium seemed to be designed with a declining floor surface, that caused supporters to fall forward , creating a domino effect whenever anyone loses their footing. The governing body and government should be requested by the club to intervene on the findings of supporters . human rights are enshrined under EU and international law. Football is not above this .

Colin Mathie

The Sevilla statement was an absolute brass neck.

Blairo

Lack of water was appalling and dangerous. I managed to get the last can of non alcoholic beer for sake of having a liquid and split it with a guy. I am glad my seat was in the shade under the stand above. It was truly awful. I asked a uefa steward where I could get water and was laughed at. I like many others in my section had to drink water from sinks in the toilet. They then locked the toilets. Horrific. Disgusting on all accounts. And to label it an inconvenience is vile. Sorry to hear of the loss of Gary, RIP.

Blairo

I might add I met a Frankfurt fan after the game at the first place serving liquids and he was making an official complaint about the lack of water and shared similar experiences. I was relieved to buy 4 waters and 3 cokes which were duly tanned.

KMS

add to this that a lot of fans were travelling light so to speak so had everything on them, passports, phones, chargers etc and then get searched and told to basically dispose of just about everything!!!

Christopher Fair

I think 20 million is still cheap. If the hip man goes for 25 Bassey is worth more than that.

Scott Watson

Have we got any lawyer bear patrons? Is there any sort of negligence case that could be raised about the stadium conditions?

Douglas Hannah

First pod I’ve been able to listen to since after the game, then you hear of Gary passing at 39, no age at all, my heart goes out to his family, and thoughts are with podders on H&H who were personal friends,it puts things into perspective.

Rose Mcloughlin

So sorry to hear your sad loss...sympathy to his family.....I am just catching up with pods after travelling back from Seville...your description of our treatment is so accurate...I've now stopped talking about it as it was getting me down but will never follow Rangers abroad again....and as you said nothing will be done about it.
