Hoggy is joined by Cammy for the post Europa League Final Hamper chat.

As ever, loads of questions and comments to get through and loads remain.  However the main subjects are how close we came, pride in the team and whether this can be done again.

A personal note of thanks to everyone we met in Seville.  Every one of us did our Club proud x

Since that final penalty on Wednesday, I haven't been able to listen to any the pods, papers or and social media... I'm still gutted, I know its Cup Final Day.... But I still feel raw from it all. I know i have to snap out of it... But fek me, if we bottle this one today, I will hate this season so much, it might take the whole summer before I back look back and reflect on getting to a European Final. I will try my best and hopefully before kick off.. I will have listened to at least 1 pod before then... And I pray I find the armoury needed, for when this battle to save something from this season begins at 3... Please! Don’t let us down Rangers, we all need this!!!

Greg

I'm sure this will be a cathartic listen, bus has just left Aberdeen so this will kill some time.

Im now of the opinion too many of our key players bottled it on Wednesday. Much like we did when Celtic humped us at New Year. Please don't fuq this up today. I'm already genuinely depressed after Wednesday. Just win at Hampden.

Colin Mathie

100% they did, too many of them went missing imo.

Chris McArthur

You dont win the cup when only one player truly steps up... gutted.

Gary Shaw

I disagree with Cammy re Lowry…he has been our best player every time he’s been involved this season and yes,he is in our best 11 in my opinion…the only 2 options in his position are Ramsey and Arfield, none of which moves the ball or with the ball as quickly as Lowry does….I feel too many of our fans are just falling into the trap of Ramseys name and what he did 10yr ago as a player…I won’t blame him for Wednesday but I wanted him nowhere near the pitch and I’ve felt like that since I first saw him play for us…can’t fault his effort but his body movement is just so laboured it’s ridiculous

Gary Shaw

I’m not one of these fans who just want any youngster thrown in for the sake of it in the hope that it works…in actual fact Lowry is probably the only one of memory…loved Patterson but never as good as Tav and in the past I just never felt the way about a young player the way I do about Lowry….he looks more like the guy that’s on loan from Juventus than the one who is

Cameron Bell

Lowry would’ve featured more regularly in that case mate. Gio probably wants to blend him, that’s fine, but he’s not in our best midfield at the moment.

Cheers lads, wee bit therapeutic. I was starting to feel a bit better yesterday. Woke up this morning for work on a real downer though. This pod has helped a wee bit. This group of players have performed magnificently, but it's clear that there is still a little bit of a question mark as to their ability to get over the line. Won the league at a canter last season, but that's 3 major Cup finals since the disaster of 2012 and we've lost them all. Today will be a huge test of the squads mentality as well as fitness.

David

It's time to move on now. Starting with a Scottish cup win today.

Gary Brown

Thanks lads, good pod. Hope you got home with no issues in time for the Cup Final today. C'mon The Famous Glasgow Rangers!

Ian McManus

This and yesterday’s extra was much needed group therapy. Think someone said that the great story of Glasgow Rangers will continue regardless of the hurt… and so it will.

I think there may be a wee drop of hindsight 20/20 being guzzled here In January we had Morelos, Roofe, Itten and Sakala who could play through the middle How exactly would it work to bring in a new striker at that point? Unless you spend 5+ million (which we didn't have), they are at best going to be third in the pecking order and you are hardly going to expect them to play any minutes What should the strategy have been? Go out and spend over the odds (as you always do in January) for someone you don't expect to play? I don't get it It's not a "single" point of failure when your first three strikers are all either injured or ill. Bad runs of injuries happen - just look at Liverpool's defence last season.

Had to cancel flights etc to Seville due to serious health issue with partner. Watched in a huge Rangers venue in Edinburgh. Shattered but proud. We’ll be back soon if we keep getting in tactically aware coaches and pick up players willing and able to learn and develop. Future holds no fears !!
