Will listen on the way home, but Coldplay? Really?

Colin

For me this is a shambles selling our players to the first club who offer , 6million is a joke don't care about so called add ons

Colin

And then we go all out for a striker who doesn't exactly score a great deal of goals another Itten

Kevin Stuart

Guess it all depends on whether the add ons are attainable plus a decent sell on could see us net a fee in excess of the £10m get out clause.

Heart and Hand

Listen to the end and you’ll understand the music choice.

Colin

For decades we have undervalued our players we have the same players for years now chronic underinvestment and don't see it changing any time soon

PR__92

Is it ironic that you said it's your show you can say what the fuck u want but missed out the swearword 😂

Graeme Brough

My problem with 3-5-2 is that instead of having 1 less defender on the park, we end up with 1 more. Our full backs often both attack at the same time anyway so there’s not a huge difference by calling them ‘wing backs’ and adding what is effectively a 3rd centre half.

Heart and Hand

I’ve been trying to cut the swearies ever since people told me their kids listen to it 😀

Heart and Hand

Seriously, it’s a fair point. I just think having two forwards sometimes could be useful but aye, we probably don’t need 3 CHs playing one opposing forward.

Rona Bluebell

Oh god. Just listened to the end. Apologies to the guy and his daughters memory for my flippant comment. Not my taste in music but then my daughter is obsessed by Ariana Grande and that would be her choice always and would make me remember her. Apologies again and hope you have a lovely memory listening ❤️

Craig scullion

Lol... I stopped listening on the way home from work so me and the weeman can listen on the way to his fitbaw training (Mon-Wed) 2014's. Without fail its always "So what's David saying to it today" haha! He always bursts out laughing when the language gets a bit blue!! Just don't tell you're mum son!!! 😂👍🏻

The Goalie was and is my Rangers hero. Still can't listen to the tribute show you done when he passed. When I got the news I was walking around my holiday complex in tunisia in tears.

Keiren hastie

Apologies once I heard the voice I couldn’t not say it 😂 sound better today

stuart Campbell

Hopefully decent replacement lined up for Joe

Aribo has 1 year left on his contract. That puts him very much in a buyers market.

Stephen

Will be sad to see Aribo go but wish him all the best. Searching for a positive for us but maybe the amount of games he played last year could take a toll on him this season. Would be tough to do that 2 years in a row

Graham Jones

Spot on with the assessment of the place we are with the model we’re operating. It’s not only sustainability we seek, but the ability to move up a level in the players we bring in. In three to four years time, we will be looking to move up another level, until we reach a ceiling in the market to our ambitions. We’re still far off that level, but for the moment we just want to see the next stage in our progress. What people don’t want is to be stuck, and fail to see any progress. Until we see new signings, and ones that we can see the point in, I think there will be a lot of frustration around. Maybe this time next week we’ll feel a lot different. Playing two up front? Very old school, but I see the point your making. What we need to do is find players who can adapt in those situations, so they aren’t sitting on the bench when we change shape. Maybe this is what we’re getting with Colak, but time will tell.

Andrew Hind

I've always thought we should play 2 up front against lower half of league sides especially at home

Ross Matheson

I detest 3 at the back. Its one of the few things I agree with Adam on! I'm sure there were points in games under Gerrard we essentially played with two CHs as the only defenders, the full backs as wingbacks which allowed a midfielder to push into the box essentially having two strikers. There's heat maps showing that style of play during a game. If you play, Bassey, Souttar and Goldson at the back, you've got Tav and Borna in the 5 and with three midfielders. You're only left with spaces for Kent and Alfie then. You have to take a midfielder away to put a second striker on if you're using the three CHs. It doesn't gain much in the attacking sense when you've lost an attacking midfielder. If the forward six are working as a unit, you've robbed Peter to pay Paul (and given John a job at the back that wasn't needed)

Just on the "fan media" thing. I didn't see the comment on yesterdays thread but from a few forums I've seen, there's a wider discussion about fan media and I think you're / H&H is being lumped in with it for all points (rightly or wrongly) Looking at the thread on FF today about Aribo, "fan media" was suggesting "he hadn't turned down a contract / reports of the news were untrue" Now, Mark loves to talk in riddles and might have been politking the topic as he hadn't turned down a deal and everyone was meant to read between the lines about it...but the deal was going ahead to the point where everyone knew that and the thread was still up. I know you've no say in what he's doing but that's what some people are seeing as "fan media" when they speak about it in the broader sense. It's maybe unfair that H&H get lumped in with that. I'm not really making a point here, just trying to convey that it's sometimes seen as a catch all header for anyone with press access. Can't please anyone let alone everyone on the internet most of the time.

Heart and Hand

Ironically of course, the people commenting on it are of course using fan media 😀 ‘Fan media’ is a catch-all term, yeah. All I’ll say is when the club could really have done with a ‘party line’ (Australia) not one fan media group backed them on it. And yeah, there’s not much I can do about other places. There does come a point with some folk where you think they don’t like fan media, they don’t like the media so I’m not really sure what they actually do want.

Heart and Hand

In all fairness, it tends to be a forum/Twitter thing. Real life people either a) like it or b) don’t like it so don’t use it. Which seems sensible to me.

Neil McWhirter

Good luck to aribo been a good move for him and the club, only question is Lowry ready to step and play 30+ games this season?

Gary Brown

Thanks for update David 👍

Lovely touch with the song 'yellow'' 💛
