Hoggy is back, this time with a new voice in Patron Craig.

Craig tells us about his upbringing, his first game that he recalls properly (Rangers v Dundee in April 1987) and his family.

Then, onto a whole variety of topics including a pretty good Rangers 11.

This was fun!

The issue with tickets against them at Ibrox doesn't sit right with me.Supporters clubs get paltry allocations for this game yet the club give tickets to a travel company for an overnight stay. How is this looking after our own?

Hoggy, re suggested stadium expansion; think we’re restricted what can be done without incurring significant cost. However, I’m sure when the corners were filled in, it was suggested at the time (David Murray I think), the way in which they were constructed, it would be possible at any point to remove the screens & install seating at minimal disruption & cost. I strongly think Rangers should investigate this. Confident this could achieve extra 5/6k on capacity. These extra seats / safe standing could be allocated as match day tickets only giving fans a chance who’ve not got a ST opportunities getting to more games. Could also consider placing UB’s there as a more prominent position in Ibrox.

Usual enjoyable show. On the topic of types of Gers teams, how about throwing this one out for the listeners? A side comprising players whose Gers' career didn't fulfil their full potential due to mainly injury but also falling out of the manager's plans or other circumstances, starting from the Souness years. I've picked this decent team with some subs: In 4-3-3: Dibble; Prodan, Nisbet, Kuznetsov, Stensaas; Neale Cooper, Thern, Durrant; Mols, Negri, Rozental. Subs: Niemi, Adamczuk, Vinnicombe, Steven, Salenko, Van Vossen, Guivarc'h. PS it seems like we've always had a team of injured players in the treatment room. Years ago, I suggested it should have a plaque: The Trevor Steven Treatment Room.

Think you kept your cool pretty well about the program subscription Hoggy. The interesting thing about going into Champions League or Europa is the new format coming up in a couple of years. 36 teams 10 games and no drop downs to Europa. The financial side will kick into another gear when this happens. The Europa and Conference are also going to go to the same format UEFA have confirmed. Has to be Champions League every time, if we want to raise our game we need that money.

Scott, my take is the exact opposite of yours, I'm sure it has always been said that the costs of removing the screens and replacing with seats is said to be prohibitively expensive and is the main reason why we have never looked to do this.

May well be bud. It’s something I do recall being said at the time. Going to a bit of research into this. I’m sure I read this in Rangers News that it was an option to put in seats but wasn’t considered at time down to fear of not being able to sell all seats & that it could be considered if demand was there in future. Also Murray keen to exploit potential income from screens i.e. away natch beam backs. I could be totally wrong but it’s something that sticks with me. Anyway, think this is only realistic option we have to explore further….

Hi Hoggy - I asked the question with the context that I had some of the best highs as a supporter of our great club last season both home and away in the Europa League. I was also fortunate to attend the final......met some fantastic people and we had a ball, on what was a journey we will never forget......would an away trip to Buyern Munich or Manchester City be the same if you have a heavy defeat??I'm just not sure.... I agree we need to chase the money and 3rd place is an achievable goal....but we have to be realistic there is a level we cannot compete with due to the quality of player & huge disparity in domestic funding with the top 5 leagues and even the smaller nations......we are unfortunately hamstrung by geography and the complete lack of professionalism and commercial nous at the top of the SPFL/SFA

Could probably make up an 11 with players that are still at the Club,Bob 😂

I much prefer the EL. A more level playing field and experienced some wonderful nights. Nothing will top Leipzig @ Ibrox. My only interest in the CL is the money. Personally, I wish the ‘super clubs’ got their wish and fucked off to play in the super league. Money has completely ruined the game but we know that already. 3 match package will be purchased as soon as we knock out PSV though 🤣 Great show lads 👍🏻

if David Murray said it I would take it with a pinch of salt, should have been done as originally planned to be 57k mid 90's.
