Thing that annoys me about the payment is the timing. No option of spreading out the games and for the people like myself who are on the 4 payment for ccs season ticket that’s 360 in one day. Feel for people who pay for more than 1 ticket.

hugh yates

I get the club need to make money but for me I have a season ticket for me and my boy paid for our season tickets during covid surly this was the time for the club to and do the fans a good thing by lower ticket prices

Heart and Hand

My wife, a very successful business type person who knows nothing about football: How much is it? 180. Is that expensive? Yes. Will people pay it though? Yes. There you go then. And that right there is probably the truth sadly.

Guy Incognito

I don't think I've ever felt less in touch with those running the club. It's been a consistent cash grab for years now, with no concession to supporters. This is another one to add to an ever growing list which includes a new training range every 3 days, and paying in full for a season ticket we never got to use and got no "thank you" for (even a small token would've been appreciated). As others have said, we will pay, but it utterly erodes goodwill and means that when things aren't going well there's much more discontent

Douglas Bryson

£34 for the qualifier. £60 for each group game. Bit of a piss take considering we turned up last season and got to the final! But will still pay!

David Simpson

Pricing ordinary folk out of the game - the ordinary folk who bring the atmosphere on those European nights.

Iain Henderson

Agreed David, the club will do what they believe maximises income. But that's not as simple as '£180 for a package is better than £165 for a package'. As you say, there is a financial crisis, so people will likely pay up for the tickets, but then not buy that second or third kit for their kids - net income and margin might well be less than having the packages at lower cost. We'll never know. I think H and H should offer a quick sense-check market research service to the club to stop them making mistakes like this, Sydney Cup and no doubt some more.

Dave McCann

Pretty much word for word what i just posted on twitter…. Shocking from Rangers.

Steve Clark

If it’s like previous years in the cl non season ticket holders will pay even more.i don’t see non season ticket holders getting the package for less than 180,which means some will be paying 200 for the most expensive sections.

David Hanlon

My biggest problem is I can only possibly go to one or at the most two of the games. So unless the club is going to do seat sub I could be paying £150 for one game. Travelling from N. IRELAND is expensive enough but when you need a night's accommodation as well as an overpriced ticket.

Martin Boyd

That is too much. Being successful business men and obviously not short of a Bob or two has maybe clouded the judgment on this they should have asked the fan groups and fan media . The well will run dry at some stage and it’s only themselves to blame , mygers and this ticket pricing is a cash grab which should not be required after the year the club have had.

Ross Thomson

150 quid is more than enough. I think they'll be sellouts however you only have to look at attendances our last 2 Champions League campaigns to see punters can quite easily not turn up. 40k v Bursaspor, 45k v Valencia, 35k v Unirea, 40k v Stuttgart.

Greig Neilson

AGM is the time to complain. If they are charging this, fine. Get the food situation sorted then. Get the disabled fans better facilities. Get the ticket website sorted. Sign a first team starter this week. Take your pick Stewart Robertson.

Callum Dinnen

I don't know that the system excuse works as a reason for why they can't offer payment options - on Thursday I'll have 3 separate payments of £60 come out rather than 1 payment of £180, so we already get billed for each game individually. I don't see any reason for those of us on the CCCS why for the Liverpool game the payment couldn't be due on 1st October. The club also needs to be careful with looking at whether their pricing has been a success, because those of us on the CCCS don't have a choice about not paying unless we give up a shot at Cup final tickets. We're effectively hostages as to how much the club charges. On the flip side, I'll be putting my seat on Seatsub for the Dundee Utd game as I have a prior engagement and can't give my ticket away. Whoever buys it will be paying £43 to watch Rangers v Dundee Utd, so it's hard to argue that £60 to see Rangers v Liverpool isn't reasonable on that basis (whether £43 is a reasonable price for a run of the mill SPFL game is a different argument altogether.)

Chris McFadyen

My ticket is £165; its few and far between i can make midweek games 1 so my mate is using mine, and he seems happy to spend £165 on them

Douglas Hannah

Was ready type angry message about prices etc then heard todays song choice 😂😂😂

Andrew Hind

That's too much, I'll watch at home

David Wylie

£150 3 game package is more than enough for all sections. If the club are going to start charging top tier prices then we should at least have top tier match experience e.g. facilities, catering, wifi etc. Unfortunately we don't. If the board can tell the fans where this money will be invested e.g. squad, stadium refurbishment etc, it might soften the anger towards them.

Suzy

I should be £180 but will get moved as in govan rear. The email states that I will get £2 discount at nearest area but what if I get moved to an area that would be cheaper? I would hope that I get charged the cheaper rate but it's rangers ........ Also, I,as many others, have CCCS so the argument stating that I don't have to pay it is incorrect as I will be charged on the 1st regardless of whether I can make the games or not. And in a oner. mostly Europe or cup games are paid per game rather than a lump sum , why can't this be done this time as would enable people to spread the cost at such short notice. How are other teams able to offer cheaper rates? Especially when we've just paid for 3 games to qualify.

Robert White

I'm £150 copland rear? For champions league that's £50 a game. I think that's OK. If we don't pay in, the club goes backwards. We have terrible TV deals. We have the strip sponsored to the hilt, the board have poured in millions . What about a wee scheme to help reduce prices for families? Could H and H run something?

Mark Boyd

Circumstances as they are currently the price point is too high. The quick turnaround and lack of a payment option is just a disregard for loyal fans Davie. And sadly it’s one aspect of the club just now which is evident in a few ways. Pricing out normal people is not good

Martin Fisher

£150 across board would have been fair, they take us for granted to often, be looking for a new signing this wk

Craig Mitchell

What gets me is football, for a lot of people, is the only thing we have to look forward to just now with lockdown hangover, some still working from home and isolated, cost of living, etc. I hope the people who really need these matches can somehow still afford to go.

David Bill

David I know this is petty But could you talk to the club and have them paint the rear of the dugout frame Its rusted and looks horrible when the cameras pan back

Logan Park

Love the intro song David 😂👏🏼

David Norton

This should be brought up in the next presser

Tamus

Here's a thing - if i buy concert tickets there's s fair chance I know what I'm gonna get and know I'm gonna enjoy it. However football - you could get absolutely horsed and feel depressed as fuq on 90mins - also game 3 could be an absolute dead rubber - imo the concert anology is not comparable - tickets are way too expensive

Neil Johnston

I get the argument that its not like a concert and you pay to see Rangers 40 games a season but the way I see it we have never played Liverpool in our history so it is a one off occasion in that regard and for me that makes it mighty valuable.

David Herd

I totally get the financial position the club has been in and the need to maximise income. But look at the background here Fans paid out millions for tickets in last season's European run, which overall earned the club a huge amount. 2 full house qualifiers this season brought in a few million more. Champions League qualifying has guaranteed another 20 million without gate money. Transfers this summer have made millions more. Fans never asked for anything back in a season nobody got into Ibrox but we paid the full amount. Plus there's the worst cost of living crisis in living memory, people are struggling to pay for heating, food and fuel. Of course CL games should be more expensive than routine matches, but these prices are basically shafting people for their loyalty. Any criticism the club gets is 100% justified.

Paul Kerr

Ticket pricing is difficult. I do think scaled pricing is fair, but they got the scale wrong. £135-165 bands would seem fair to me with a premium on the MyGers/General Sale.

Trev @JimmyBell_Loyal

And there’s the problem if you want to call it that. Rangers will keep shafting us like this until we vote with our feet.

Mr J K Murray

should be an over 66yrs old in grounds with different policies, way olddies are treated in nothing short of ross barkley by clubs, hic, ross has same click' as C Goldson US/London Wasserman, blue light employees should also have reductions hic, God save der Queen

Gordon Black

Them winning the League Cup last year gave their new manager a boost. We need to mark their card and win the first silverwear of the season..

Alan Stewart

Totally agree with you David re ticket pricing. I will grudgingly pay it this year for myself and my son, HOWEVER, if we are fortunate to make the group stages next season and they continue taking the piss with pricing , they can shove the tickets up their arse. This is the tipping point for me.

Martin Davies

The club need to be careful with their pricing. We are always on the high end. The problem is when the team have a wobble in Europe, and the excitement of the fans isn't quite there. See the 90s as an example of what happens when Euro results and performances are poor and ticket prices are high, what you get is Ibrox 2/3 full. Also the CL bar is now set. Would as many people still be willing to throw £180 at a CL group that wasn't quite as glamorous? Lastly, there's only so many times you can keep going to the same well before it runs dry. We have a very loyal fan base but their disposable income is not endless. I think we're starting to get to the point where fans won't be able to dig any deeper. Time for Bisgrove to earn those big bucks and bring in some blue chip sponsorship to supplement revenue generated from supporters. At the moment it feels like this balance is not quite right.

Steven L

150 over the board would have been 6/7 million. Pretty poor stuff that the people 3 seats away from me in GE3 are paying 15 bucks more when we have the same view in CF1 but people will buy them.

Martin Davies

Bisgrove needs to get his finger out and get some blue chip sponsorship generating serious revenue rather than the Z list we have today. The club can't keep going to the same well - fans don't have endless streams of disposable income. Feels like the revenue balance is "off". We clearly want to improve and grow year on year but fans can't solely be the source of funds for this growth.

Martin Davies

The bar for CL tickets is now set. If we qualify next year and don't get a big glamorous draw, will fans still stump up £180?

G Calder

We haven't turned a profit for YEARS .. so I can see why the club think they need to do this . Im not saying it's correct - but the club needs to max this I'm afraid IMO They haven't been skimming huge profits from us - I'll perhaps buy less mech this season to off set this price ? I think £58 to see us play Liverpool in the CL is worth it .. but yes I remember Murray getting it wrong + 35k at CL games. WE NEED THESE GAMES TO SELL OUT - FOR THE TEAM ON THE PARK ! If it sells out - I'm afraid they got this price right .

David Best

Not sure if this is relevant but I took my boy to see the New York Mets vehement New York Yankees at baseball earlier this month at Citifield. It was $302 each. Not sure that is a fair comparison

G Calder

I think you are correct to compare .. eg how much a ticket for a top flight EPL game on average ? We fans want a team that compete in Europe - how do we fund this ? How much are we prepared to pay to fund this ? I guess we will find out soon .. It's a huge ask - but it's not totally out of the blue .. We did know we had a good chance of playing CL football - and 100% Europa League - so I'm NOT surprised to be paying £150 this time of year - I've been paying similar the past 4 years ! It's an extra £30 or so from last year ? I'm also expecting to be paying around 50 ( minimum) after we qualify ! This should not come as a surprise - I'd suggest save £50 per ticket and stick it away - check the fixtures - Paying this shouldn't be a surprise with us doing so well in Europe . We all knew the dates. - we will hopefully be playing Europa / CL every season for foreseeable - id have £150 ready to go this time of year every season Might just be something we have to get used to & factor in . I hope it is . But I totally people think it's too much .. there is a point where some just won't pay it. .

G Calder

I get not everyone has that money at hand ,... Esp now with cost of living - I have full sympathy with those people who are struggling, but - We did know we would be paying around £140 ish this time of year for 3 group tickets for Europa League as a minimum Me paying £150 for 3 CL isn't out the blue .. we've known since April /may we had this to pay for Euro games .

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David 👍 With the qualifier being £34 for my area I fully expected the game price (based on 'special 3 match package, ST holder, MyGers member' rates!) to be £50> for the real deal group games!! Given its been SO long since we had UCL group games it is what the club think they can realistically charge. If you don't take up yours, the next tier MyGers level can (probably at a few £ more) or by the time it gets to public sale it will be more £ again. Is it right? No, probably not. But it is simply supply & demand - there will always be 'big game hunters' who have at least £500+ spare not paid out for a ST, away tickets, etc waiting to claim UCL tickets and will also have a £20+ head start as they'll be nowhere near Ibrox tomorrow night for a first round League Cup game vs QotS!

Gordon Smith

Yup Friday session of the Ashes (no result of game changing) at the Sydney Cricket Ground was $190 plus booking fees. It’s a rip off but it’s normal.

Steven Geddes

Hi David I'm in the seat movers category (BF5) so I have to wait until all other season ticket holders have taken up there option to buy before I can get on. My question is, I bought my season ticket in BF5 for the price, if the rest of the Broomloan is priced at £150 as rangers are keeping with season ticket prices. Now if say seat movers only have the option of more expensive govan or main stand are we just expected to suck this up?

Nicholas Dickson

Because I am on holiday I only had bbc Scotland to listen to the game , are the club still keeping an ear of the way we get reported because it’s very much still a very different standard , someone on the panel asked if refs have been told to send less players off this year 🤷🏼‍♂️
