Much appreciated David 🙏 even when we lose your post match vids always give me a sense of comfort 💙

John Cox

Safe travels home David. It’s only 4-1 to Napoli currently so we’ll have it easier next week...

Bryan

Out ran out fought Is unforgivable gio has to go

Robert Howitt

Safe home, pal... Completely scunnered.

Steve23

Ajax run 6km further than our players, no one won their personal battles, the shape and tactics were non existent. Key players posted missing. This is a repeat of last Saturday, this team has regressed massively under this manager. It’s only going one way so the sooner we change things the better.

David Gardner

Summed it up quite well - we can forgive being beaten by a better team but to not compete is unforgivable. I don’t believe we will win a league tittle with this manager and I’m now in favour of him being removed. I don’t know who we would get to replace him and the funny thing is I’m not sure I trust Ross Wilson either. We have the correct set up at Rangers - we need a director of football and a good head coach/manager but I don’t believe we have the right people in either position.

Neil Buchanan

That was sobering but exactly the right tone for an incisive précis of what we’ve all watched unfold in front of us over two games. Pittodrie is massive but I’m doubting he can set out a team that’s bold enough to win convincingly or, more to the point, can win for him.

Wrong Opinion

Bringing on an 18 year old centre back to play at right back, while there's an 18 year old right back on the bench? Wright playing through the middle at points?!

Brian Moore

Not one single department in our club is giving us any positive vibes right now. Board, management, recruitment, players, commercial partners, dealing with the governing bodies, strips getting leaked, travel club, FFP…………fuck me man it’s just a fuckfest once again. 😞

Robert White

I agree but King showed confidence and quality. Like Lowry does. Ajax played a few very young players why shouldn't we in this era of football finance?

Neil

I can’t see this team coming away with a result at Pittodrie. I think form will only improve when the title is comfortably out of sight and the pressure is off. During our rebuild, future recruitment needs to be looking at signing players with more grit and character.

Rod

I just don't see another manager turning this lot into title winners.

David Gardner

It’s early enough in the season I think - Altho they are terrible so you maybe correct

Bill W

Looks like Kamara has packed it in.

kevin mcginn

Everything is so passive, we went into this game with 11 players who for one reason or another aren’t available for selection due to either Injury or not being ready to play: Yilmaz Helander Souttar Davies Hagi Jack Matondo Lowry Lawrence Morelos Roofe To me that’s not acceptable, look across the city and they all seem to be desperate to play. The recruitment has been a shambles

James Cameron

A board who simply will not communicate with the support gone missing In Action hold the support in contempt. Fans forking out fortunes to go to Ajax and get fucked over by the club partner. Another fucking shambles A recruitment strategy that ignore major failings in the squad for four years now. RW and our first game in CL we finish with a midfield of Jack and Davis A manager who is making increasingly more mental decisions makes the same mistakes time and time again A group of players who are either going through the motions at best or at worst completely chucked it and not for the first time.

Stephen Grant

Too many mistakes by individuals, too many benign passages of play and no thrust . Players and manager are letting themselves down let alone the support , we need to see something on Saturday

Craig Newton

Any truth in Park leaving & Bennett/Hong Kong consortium taking over??

Gordon Millar

Totally agree David, its the manner of the defeat that is worrying, without shit stirring do the players believe in this style of football?.. The collective drop in form suggests otherwise.....there is just no positives to take from the last 2 games, nothing to build on.......Saturday is must win or as many fans I spoke to tonight believe that our season is over....

james whyte

Why did they take 4.99 again? Already bought the feckin 55 video

Paul

Only a matter of time before Gio is gone. His football is boring and uninspiring. Ultimately results will be his undoing.

Dougie Jones

I take the general point but can't really include likes of Hagi, Lawrence or Lowry I feel. They simply got injured - in Hagi's case quite seriously. Unfortunate but one of these things. Fair point about likes of Helander and Roofe but as has been said before, unlikely they would be with us in the first place without their injury histories.

Euan Dover

Our core group of players have spent years grafting to get us to this level (many of them bosmans or chronic loan failures) and at all the while gradually develop/rebuild their career. To finally get to this level and look like they’d rather be watching it on the couch is baffling. This is the same group that was running through brick walls for Gerrard. What the hell has happened. I can’t wait for the manager to go now.

Mark

David, don't let the f@nnies on twitter draw you in. You owe them nothing.

Rod

Agree with most however we have played like this in Europe recently away to USG.

Colin Mathie

We simply have to get 3pts against the sheep, but even then i dont think it'll be enough, I'd have them in for double training sessions until things start to click, cause we are so bad to watch right now.

Scott

To say they were running through brick walls for Gerrard is very selective. The same players lost at home to accies and got put out about 15 cups. Gerrard was weeks away from the sack too.

Robert Toal

We need to hold our nerve

Robert Toal

Too many people panicking - hard places to go against Celtic and Ayax

Jim Mcewan

Spot on again mate it’s not good enough and it’s going to come to a head very shortly. I have zero confidence in a board that appointed Caixhina Mitty twice and got a get out of jail card when King took control and went for Gerrard

William Hughes

What's that saying - insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That's us and zonal marking defending corners.

Ewan Christie

Manager has to go for me.. the way we are going we’ll be double figures behind in the league by the World Cup, and pumped out the CL without getting a point. I accept that there’s a myriad of issues with Ross Wilson and the board, however the manager carries the can for the way we are playing which is nowhere near good enough! Perhaps an element of “phoning it in” with his comments about needing hundreds of millions to compete in the CL? If that’s the case how did we beat at least two top CL quality sides last season?

Alan Black

The football we are playing is turgid to watch even when we win, the players don’t seem to understand or trust how the manager wants to play. Aberdeen , Ross County and that mob last january were the alarm bells for me which were glossed over by the Europa run. GvB and Wilson need to be culpable for this shambles.

Euan Dover

Over the piece of his reign, they generally ran through brick walls for him in my opinion. There were a few bad patches but we saw gradual progress and application was generally not the problem. The point is anyway, we’ve seen these players capable of punching way way above their weight and get to this level as a motley crew - so turning in that shambles tonight is a bit odd.

Paul fitzpatrick

Never know what you’re gonna get with this team and manager. PSV beat Ajax 5-2 a few weeks ago, we match PSV over 2 legs and are miles off Ajax. Realistically we can’t change the squad until end of season and it makes no sense changing a manager who’s not been here for a year yet and has done okay up till now. Hopefully we can pull together get through this tough period and push on.

Graeme Brown

I realise that there are such things as “bad performances” - and that these can stack up quite quickly - but does it look like some players have actually stopped playing for the manager? Tav, Goldson, and Lundstrum in particular seem utterly unrecognisable to the point where I’m wondering if it’s more than just bad form.

Steve Clark

For me the manager is done,he doesn’t appear to be able to motivate the players and telling them we can’t compete at this level is not going to inspire anybody.two games in a row the second half has been an irrelevance because the game is over by halftime.

Jonny Burnside

Looks like it’s time for the manager to rip it up and go with McCann, King, Lowry etc. if he doesn’t change things dramatically, then this bunch will have him sacked. Never seen 2 more heartless displays and only 4 days apart.

Heart and Hand

Thanks Mark. I’m only thinking now about delivering value for money for you guys on here. Absolute and sole priority.

Rona Bluebell

Biblical indeed! Naples is looking daunting now

Lynn Houston

Compete. Endeavour. Belief. Intelligence.. all sadly lacking.. Ajax deserved their victory but we didn’t half make it way too easy and comfortable for them.. it’s time to stop the rot. Sorry 😞

Craig Armstrong

Cannot disagree at all David. The drop off has been huge in the last two weeks and the very soft underbelly of this team has been exposed once again. I know people are talking about the Aberdeen games being a watershed, but for me its past now, Gio is done, but that has to extend to Wilson too. On the back of that performance it is entirely possible that we are looking at 6 defeats and more horrendous results. A new manager may not be able to salvage Europe, but may save the League

Martin Sutherland

Couldn’t agree more with what you said. For me, he can’t stay. We will now stumble into 2 more big games and falter. Act fast and the season can be saved
