Good update Colin Re the EPL hoovering up the best talent from out academy - we do the same with other clubs. It's just where we are in the food chain, unfortunately we are not the apex predator and will continue to lose players to the tourist league down south.

Colak / Moreos possibility was interesting. Ask fans who watch every week would you rather see a front 3 of Morelos, Colak and Kent OR ARFIELD, Colak and Kent and you'll be doing well to find ONE fan picking the latter option. Which 3 would offer a greater goal threat? That's all you have to ask. Of course managers know better - aye right! It aint rocket science though they try to make out it IS, to pretend how clever they are. We're up against dross most weeks, not Real, so tactics are over-rated.

Why do you want Kent dropped now after a goal and an assist in his last domestic game? I mean anytime before that go for it but surely we need to see if his confidence has improved after last week?

The clubs best chance with young players is to point to Patterson as an example, and explain to the players and his family that English Academies are cutthroat. You become a small fish in a big pond down there. You need to get lucky like Gilmour did, and the club can;t go out and sign players for a period of time. I don’t think we see him in that side unless that happens. We can;t complain about the poaching, because we do it ourselves. It’s how the system works now. The English clubs see the academies as meat markets now, and a way to raise finance. We are set up to see the education of players done correctly, and to open a path through to the first team now. You might go down there and earn a lot of money for a very short time, but it’s most likely your pathway will be blocked by a number of hurdles. This needs to be impressed on these kids and their parents. At the end of the day,. It’s impossible to tell these people to turn down £500 just to sign a form.

I would love to see teams return to a proper striking partnership eg McCoist and Hateley as I am not a fan of having one striker up front with a wide player.

John, our system with 2 attacking fullbacks who give us the width means we don't need an attacker WIDE right just 3 up front who constantly change position. The guy nominally on the right of the 3 shouldn't be out on the wing, unless chasing a pass.
