February 14 was a fairly routine month for Gers but there were signs of a growing lethargy both on and off the pitch.

Join the Davids, Rob and Stuart as they continue to chart Ally's time as Gers boss.

An unexpected surprise to wake up to this morning 👍🏼

Bill Jones

I came home from work one day to find mum in tears. It took a while to find out why but eventually she told me she had not checked my jeans and had washed my season book in the pocket of my jeans. She then opened the oven door to show me my book with all the individual pages separated by sheets of kitchen roll in a desperate attempt to save the book. The next game I turned up at my EE turnstile and the guy behind the gate just smiled when I produced the big white fluffy season book and said, 'Yir maw wash your book son'? So, I know I'm not the only one this had happened to.

Stephen

So does Ally ever write the book or do we think he’s already been paid not to?

Mark

I'm actually listening to this to cheer myself up. That's where we are right now.

I loved Coisty as a player and enjoy him as a pundit. I do however have to smile sometimes when he talks about tactics, shapes and personnel. This is a manager who went into the Ramsden Cup Final against Raith Rovers and decided that their magnificent, magical midfield player Joe Cardle was so dangerous and influential that he would have to be man marked. Hardly Helenio Herrera stuff.

Nice homage to the version of the H&H podcast that was running at the time with the diversions into talking about how things were better in the 90s and shoving things up your arse.

Rob Shorthouse

Haha - for a football podcast, there was a very high percentage of 'things in arse' bundled into it back then!

Craig Fryatt

I always thought the Ally looked at the two LB thing because he looked at them in the 10/11 season with Izzywhitzit and the parent of the year

Turned to my mate during the game and said of Ian Black - he’s got a Scotland cap. He was absolutely terrible that day. We were in hospitality and the bears enjoyed the night in any case, was just one more boot in the baws back then.

Stranraer away - February - I laugh at your 3 hour journey!! Coast to coast for me Scarborough to Stranraer 🙈and I had grandparents living in Girvan so knew what a shit drive it was 5 and a half hours!! Lasting memory of the night. One of the party I travelled with bought the ball boy a bovril before the poor little bastard died of hypothermia. Head examination for going - too right!

Thanks again lads for this latest episode of Self Harm 😉 But seriously. Thanks guys, this is always a pretty tough listen for the facts, events & often results but an enjoyable listen to you guys talking about them. It IS therapeutic lads, your excellent work is not in vain.👍👏
