Get well soon Colin. Out of interest were there any near misses on the pitch when you were in the bog? I recall having a similar experience during the Scotland v Italy 0-0 draw in the '94 World Cup qualifier at Ibrox. I was being unwell when Gordon Durie missed a close range header. I'm assuming everyone above me jumped up to celebrate but it felt like the whole stand was about to fall around me! Fortunately it was only a sick bug or I could easily have shat myself!

David

Get well soon Colin. You didn't eat any of they raw hotdogs by any chance?

Scott King

Hope you’re better soon Colin, can’t agree with “Bassey looking like one of their worst players”, I thought he looked decent again last night to be honest

Simon

“Worst on the ball” is what he said. I’d agree with that and agree that he was good for them.

Graeme Duncan

Thanks Colin, it wasn’t an easy listen but you already know that. WATP 💙

Simon

All of this shit show will be forgotten when we win the league 😏

Andrew Hind

Get well soon Colin, having to go over a embarrassing CL campaign is enough to make anyone feel even worse

Trev @JimmyBell_Loyal

Never rated Tav as a defender. As an attacking threat yes, but unfit and manager not wanting the wing backs to bomb forwards as much hasn't helped him. Plus with Goldson not covering him his defending is being found out.

Ross Whitehead

Sorry to hear you've been ill Colin, get well soon! We were well out of our depth in this group, and being honest we are a good Europa League side, but the step up to UCL has been HUGE! Hopefully we can put the dismal displays behind us and crack on in these next three games in the league and go into the break in touching distance of 1st place.

Colin " Arfield's had his moments". Lol. Aye, a goal every 6 months! Can't tackle, slow, 5 yard passes ( if that) 9 out of 10 shots high or wide or straight to keeper, like a pass-back. BUT, he does run around a lot, pointing to others where to cover, never quite getting a tackle in, unless he commits a clumsy foul. Should never have got a contract extension.

👌🏻 it’s up there with Sakala is at least running about that others put forward. Yes he does run about, like a headless chicken and he left his man about 50 time and doubled up leaving his teammates chasing his man all to produce wayward shots and crosses that troubled nobody, some folk need a reality check on what makes a player useful and what makes them a show pony.

Bob MacCallum

I reckon he gets picked because Gio likes him as he smiles a lot, presumably trains hard and does everything he's told. Just taking up a space a younger player, like Lowry or McCann, could have. And taking a wage that could have been used on a new player. When he comes on, everyone in the SJ rear just groans.

James Anderson

The jump up to the Champions League was not too high, it isn't for Dortmund nor Frankfurt either, a team we should have beaten in the Europa final. The reality is this manager has taken us from a six point lead in the league to a 4 point deficit.. Two emarrassing defeats to sellik, and a shambles of a champions league campaign, tactics which are nothing short of bamboozling. Each interview stating its a learning curve..... The team has regressed under him. No heart No strategy No hope going forward There is no time to prolong the inevitable. TAXI FOR GIO.....

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update Colin.

David Kiltie

Thank you, Colin, for a painful but cathartic listen. A couple of points - the distances covered have been majored on. In the last 2 games Rangers have covered slightly higher distances than Ajax did against in Amsterdam and Liverpool in both their games v. us. The distances have improved as the group as progressed but obviously the results didn’t. In terms of being outrun, I suspect this is more a result of being outplayed rather than the cause of it. If we had more possession and greater ability to push forward then the distance covered would be greater. You mention that the Champions League riches are not what was anticipated and that might be better being in the Europa League. Had we lost to USG or PSV our fanbase would be in meltdown, especially with that lot in the group stages. During our EL run last season I felt “I could get used to this” but I had to face the reality that seasons like 2021/22 are a rarity. I will certainly miss European football post Christmas 😩

Moon Man

Couldn’t agree more. Tough group but still, the jump between the europa league final and the champs league group isn’t as big as we have made it look. Ref your points above id also add fitness. We look miles off of where we were last season. The conditioning doesn’t look right.

Alan Shaw

Thats rangers for you. A great run in Europe one season the next season we are very poor.Hopefully we dust ourselves down and win the league

When is the correct time to change manager?

Iain MacDougall

Just catching up on the week. Gio complaining that we didn't get the week off like Ajax, a poor poor excuse. PSV had the week off before we played them, we beat them, so that doesn't wash for me. He is basically saying we cannot compete with UCL teams physically!! We should be able to compete on a physical level.
