Hoggy is back (after a week on the side-lines) with Andy Barnett to discuss the continuing downward spiral of form and the feeling of inevitability.

The mood is lightened with some supporter stories and the boys realise they were on the same trip, with the same supporter's club in 2001!  It's a small world.

If you fancy coming on the show - please reach out, especially for the World Cup weeks.

Andrew Whiteside

Sorry guys I can’t listen to this pod again.

Gregg

I was in the feyenoord end right next to the away end - 20 Marlboro reds smoked, jumped up when we took the lead, I was absolutely shitting myself. Steward laughed when I asked if I could get into gers end

Andrew Whiteside

I listen to everything on the platform and have a lot of respect for you, Hoggy and everyone on the platform, but every pod starts with 20 mins of Gio out at the moment making it a tough listen and when you have heard the same comments it’s hard to keep hearing it. I think he should get to the end of the season btw.

Gregg

I skipped to the funny stories the end. Not the guys fault necessarily but does seem like a lot of the shows are the same content, different voices. During the World Cup it’d be good if we could get some stories, light hearted stuff on the hamper - love the show guys

Andrew Whiteside

At an old firm game when I was 17 pished and shouting and bawling all sorts of inappropriate nonsense and I feel a tap on my shoulder and it was my BB captain who whispered in my ear to sit down and stop being a silly boy or words to that effect. Every game since I have acted as if he is still sitting behind me. He is no longer with us but taught me much about how to be the right sort of man.

Andy Barnett

Appreciate the feedback Andrew. Hoggy was catching up after last week so the comments from listeners were obviously about the current state of affairs. Ultimately we’re capturing the mood, but we do try to be light hearted.

Andrew Whiteside

No worries Andy but after the post match, car pod, extra, chief executive and preview I was all caught up on the mood. A win today then a wee holiday from it all will be just the ticket I think.

Johnny walker

Good listen liked the light hearted stuff at the end. I wasn't in Rotterdam but travelled up for the home leg from London on a flight full of feyenoord fans and have to say wasn't impressed with them. If you love your wine Mr Hogg then Adelaide would be right up your street. I live 10 mins from McLaren Vale and you would be in heaven

Spoon

Fair comment Andy but a lot of the ‘feeling’ is made out to be universal there’s still folk who are unhappy with current state of affairs but don’t want it all burnt to the ground, it’s a bit of a self fulfilling despair that’s creeping in where even positives are played down by some. I absolutely take your point that there are a significant number who want Gio out but it’s a bit relentless for the silent section who are undecided or believe there are other bigger factors. Enjoy your work though bud 👍🏻

In all my time in attending games at Ibrox scoring from corners is an exception.

Andrew Whiteside

Yeah so much more to this than just the manager. Let’s not ramp up pressure that is already at an unbearable level.

Gregg

Misery loves company - here’s hoping for a win the day

Hoggy

I get it Andrew. Perhaps the silent ones need to interact to be honest - it’s the premise of the show!! To be honest, it’s not fun right now. I’m glad we got the funnies in. Next week will be something different. Get in touch, come on the show, tell your story!!

Tamus

What about now Andrew after the paisley shit show - you suggested the end of the season - well that was today - season over

Andrew Whiteside

it’s easy to support a team when they are winning. You want someone to blame and that is the manager. Fair enough but these players have turned in performances like this for the past 4 years and I’m sure Gio had only been at the helm for one of them.

Dougie

Time check 09.05 am the morning after! Hoggy, firstly I love your shows. Listening hearing how Andy & you want Alfie to step up for the St Mirren game the morning after is depressing to put it politely. It’s the hope that kills. Note to self, never listen after a game😊 so happy your back on H&H and keep up the great work pal🔴⚪️🔵

Hoggy

It’s inevitable now. I don’t want him to be sacked. I want him to be a success - but it’s clear the players have zero respect (e.g. Kamara). However your point on the players is bang on. We need big changes.

Hoggy

By the way. THIS is the outcome when you don’t fix the roof when the sun is shining. And THAT is on the Board. 100% on the Board.

Michael Gray

Hoggy- you’re living in a dream world about Celtic and dropped points. They’re an average team in European terms. But formidable at a Scottish level and have been for years. We have no chance of winning this league. Ange is a very competent manager- you can’t compare him to Lennon. We may close gap, but more realistically it’ll be a ~15 point gap by end of year. Only calling it the way I’ve seen it since start of season

David Herd

I'm off on a wee holiday for a week Hoggy, but if you want me to come on the show after I'm back on Nov 21st then just give me a shout. I'm sure we can find something to talk about...

Andrew Whiteside

I can’t disagree with anything in your comments Hoggy. The next couple of weeks will be critical for the club. Thankfully the finances look like they are healthy enough to rebuild.

Andrew Whiteside

After my outburst on Saturday Morning. I just listened to the stories and they were brilliant.

David Millar

I appreciate that a lot of people want Gio sacked. My concern is that it’s not our position but the scum’s that is driving that in large part. After 13 league games this season, the point where Gio took over last season, and I know it’s moved on since, we had one point less than at the same stage last season despite being injury ravaged. The scum obviously have many more than they had last season. So the question has to be does the Rangers manager simply have to have us in front of them in the league at all times or be sacked and if we had the same points as we have now but they had fewer would that be satisfactory?
