Adam joined the lads to discuss the film 'Gregory’s Girl', the cult classic which launched John Gordon Sinclair into fame.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve listened to this pod! One of my go to pods on my journey into work 🤣👏🤣👏🤣👏🤣

Bluelacoste

You guys are looking at some of the what you think are dodgy through a current modern set of eyes. Football trials for the school, most schools had 1 or 2 excellent players and the rest of us misfits. The bit with the truck. Again we only had 3 channels back then, no Internet so more kids would be in to things like trains, trucks, buses standing on a bridge over the motorway counting colours of cars to keep you occupied. The thing with the teachers, it definitely was more of a yewtree type thing going on back then 🤣

LD

No mention of Chic Murray? "Off you go you small boys"

Graham McCallum

I’m commenting before I listen to this episode. I watched the filming as an 11 year old just before I attended the school. Im looking forward to your take on this 😊

Graham McCallum

Me again!! I think the word that perfectly sums up Gregory is gormless. Re the chippy at the time of filming it was called Trio this was because 3 Italian brothers all owned 3 chippys in Cumbernauld. Didn’t know about the Capaldi connection did that come after the filming?

Dougie

FANTASTIC 👏👏👏👏👏 loved this first time round 🤣🤣

Blair McWhinnie

Genuinely my favourite pod on the network

Gordon Black

Used to work with the big 'goofy' looking guy... real name Graeme Thompson... He never spoke in the film until the end when he said "Thats no how you spell Caracas"

Mark

I bet he never got tired of people of our age constantly saying that to him.

Gordon Black

When i knew him he was quite cool about it... Said it was a great experience... Was a bluenose

Mark

Good to hear, Gordon!

Gordon Smith

“They used to stab me in the legs “ 😯 I thought my school was bad.

Gordon Mac

Pretty much a microcosm of my time at school late 70s early 80s 🤣
