The Car Pod is back and Colin is joined by a very cold Cammy and Alex to discuss the start of the Beale era and it started with a win.

So is no one ever gonna sort that defence of ours out, cause its still majorly shit.

Stuart Saunders

Positives to take away from tonight - Alfie is back, grumpy as ever and scoring goals 🐃 - The fitness, attitude and effort could not be faulted during the game, immediate improvement from anything we’ve seen all season - We played to win, we didn’t play not to get beat - This exact same squad of players would never come back from going behind twice to win - simply would not happen - I can actually listen to a post match interview with our manager without falling asleep 😂

Andrew Hind

Once our first choice defence in back in place hopefully we will be more stronger in defending set plays, better second half hopefully a sign a things to come

Tillman is special hope we keep him: unpredictable which is what we need. Learning the physical game is a good point but why do we have to be like this in Scotland; Scottish football is lagging because of this: referees need to start reffing the game in this country like every where else or we never qualify for the big tournaments

Even Manchester City would look vulnerable if they had 5 centre backs out injured so reverted to having two midfielders in there and a youth team right back playing at left back. Factor in our goalkeeper didn't start the season as number 1 and our right back has been playing most of the season with an injury. We have really been unlucky in some aspects and hopefully with a few back we will look alot more solid. However it's not all down to luck. If two of your centre backs r Helander and Souttar to start with then we will always have injuries. Davies also had an injury and some personal issue when he joined. As a club we really need to stop gambling with these types of players. Even the likes of Roofe, Jack or anyone who is prone to injury we need to let go. It's not like we r playing them shit wages.

Loved hearing Alex & Cammy’s thoughts on Porteous & McGeadie! 👏😆🇬🇧

What's the first choice defence though? The only two certainties are Tav and Goldson.

Greg

Morelos made the back post run that was successful previously not sure why it was a surprise to you guys.

Yilmaz. Helander. Goldson. Tav. As Helander is never a thing now Davies instead.

Because I think last night was the first time I’ve seen him run since Spring?

Gregg

Was impressed with young Devine - caught a bit in air in first half but overall good display

Pedro

Good tonight to see that despite an injury list we can have an inswinging corner that works and we score from. Who knew... Terrible, terrible performance in the first half from us. Second half we got the job done. Thankfully Hibs are rotten. Surely you need to refresh the squad if it is continually not winning the you things and also that it is ancient. Hope you all warmed up OK lads and thanks for braving the cold to get the pod in!

Doug Young

Difference for me between first and second half was confidence. Specifically after our second, we were sharp, confident, direct and controlled.

Totalyl agree. We have so many perennially injured players. Would man city sign 3 centre backs with injury issues in the first place? Just bad luck for us i guess that they get injured....as ever.
