As annoyed as I am over certain players and their contributions this is a fair assessment of where we currently are. Certain instances really pushed buttons today because it's the same errors by the same faces. In the immortal words of Jose Mourinho "if I speak....."

Paul

Tav, Morelos, Jack,Kamara, Wright, Sands, Borna - Thanks and bye

George Harrison

You guys called it pre match re TURNOVERS …. shame the lump of lard that thinks he’s the Colombian Messi wasn’t listening ! Get rid of this waste of talent Rangers !

Stevie

Sorry to everyone I wasn’t sounding my best, unfortunately we were a bit short handed so only right to do my bit. I can’t be too disappointed at the result really, because of where this squad is and how they have performed this season, some of it was good even in that circumstances. So take the draw & move on, try and get more wins on the board. Michael Beale took a knife to a gun fight and he almost won, get him the players and squad he wants and watch us go Now I’m off to rest up and drink lemsip. Cheers all

Add to that Matondo McLaughlin Helander. But 100% agree , except for Barasic

Tamus

Beale fuqt it with his horrific subs and change of tact

Mr J K Murray

trust we can attain players in with health & football nous sirs, hic

If the funds are there for Jan (or at least brough forward from the summer) we need a RB in the door that can put serious pressure of Tav. Borna has improved his level since Yilmaz came in….Tav needs the same. Was scary that Maeda walked past him at times. Way off the level required.

The Gallant Pioneer

He def took the safe option late on. Our bench def not strung enough. The game would have suited Arfield. WATP and we follow on 💙🇬🇧

Gary Shaw

I’m with you on Barasic…absolute shite bag with the heart of a mouse…lost count how many times when McGregor had a goal kick and Barasic blatantly jogged away with his back to him instead of screaming for it when he had acres of grass in front of him….as bad as Tav was,at the very least he still wanted the ball at every opportunity

Zander West

Absolutely Gutted we lost, agree with everything thats said👍

Gazza G

What did they put in fashion’s bovril at HT? Whatever it was, more please!

Angus Mackay

Two things that stand out about this. 1. Sakala was very obviously improving technically under the previous management. Sure it's inconsistent, it probably always will be, but the improvement has been clear to see this season. 2. I very much hope that Michael Beale does get the players he needs, but I can't help notice how all of a sudden the players are considered a much bigger part of the problem than they were 4/6 weeks ago - especially as far as certain fan media figures are concerned. Some of us pointed out all along that the lack of players, and the number of senior players having tired and difficult seasons was the bulk of the problem all along.

I think we’re all a bit raw after conceding so late, as the win would’ve been a huge result for us. But, I’m not as down as I thought I might be, mainly because it wasn’t the defeat they I feared. It was a full stop on the issues at the club, and they now have an opportunity to start putting it right in the January window. Hopefully we get some in, but be prepared for some to depart, and I don’t mean the ones that some people want gone. If Kent doesn’t sign a contract then he will need to be moved on, as will Barasic and probably Alfie. There may be more, because the general rule for January is tty and bring in targets for the summer or none at all, but aim not sure we gave that luxury. Our contract management has been poor, and that needs to improve drastically going forward.

Stevie

Angus, I think you can acknowledge the previous manager was a HUGE issue and if Beale can get this out of a broken squad then replacing GVB WAS correct You can also say now that’s happened, the players must be held responsible. Fan media, David and myself, are always held to standard especially because we called out GVB early, but we have never hid the fact this Squad IS done and urgently needs surgery. All our stuff is documented on pods and blogs and it’s all there. There’s no change of stance, just perhaps more content we have a competent manager even with this bunch. So it’s great to point the finger, ‘I’ve been right all along’, but perhaps the real issue is you haven’t actually been listening to the point all along? Cheers

Heart and Hand

I know everyone enjoys thinking they are the only ones who saw the naked emperor but I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been calling out the squad for months however we also repeatedly stated you couldn’t change the squad until the transfer window while you could change the manager. Now the manager has changed and the window is opening it’s only commonsense focus has moved towards what can be done with the squad. I don’t really see it as any great mystery. By all means give yourself a pat on the back for noticing some of the players aren’t up to it and others were injured but I’m not sure it’s a particularly unique insight!

Absolutely a fair list. Bernard wasn't a real problem defensively today, but he offered nothing going forward. I'd have loved to see Devine continue. Kamara, Wright, Sands and Morelos; Thank you and Bye 👋 Jack can still offer something, but he's not a regular starter, and it's almost the same with Tavernier. Let's see what Beale's plans are over the next 28 days or so. I think we'll be OK for the rest of the month, but players definitely needed

Angus Mackay

FWIW, I'm far from convinced that the previous manager was a huge issue. Last year he kept our point scoring in the league on the same level as Gerrard had whilst taking us on the most incredible European run we've enjoyed in over 40 years. Somehow that morphed into a narrative that he threw the league away, despite the change in the points situation being down to Celtic going on an incredible run while we simply stayed where we were (with injuries to key players already piling up). He then overachieved again by getting us into a CL we were nowhere near ready for. Sure he made mistakes this year, but despite the state of the squad we were still reasonably close to a Celtic team who are still going like a train domestically until the last few weeks of his tenure when the atmosphere turned so sour that rock bottom was reached. I'm a million miles away from claiming that I was the only one who could see these things - apart from anything else, podders on the network (especially Alex Staff) did so. Plenty of the fans could see that the squad, for several reasons, was burst. Some of us just felt the guy deserved a bit more latitude. Finally, just TBF, I didn't think David was hasty in the matter. Several others were, but not him.

I desperately wanted Gio to be a success my friend. I think he’s a good manager - his ability to set up in individual matches (often against better sides) was superb. He just wasn’t quite what we needed for this strange league of ours. I think - and this echoes your point - the players had given up on him a bit. If they did it to him, they’ll do it again. For MBs own sake, it’s another reason to make sweeping changes to that dressing room.

Angus Mackay

Yes, I think that's all fair David. HYN, man. I hope it's another great one for H&H.
