It's September 2014 and the results had stabilised but the maelstrom around Rangers showed no signs of letting up. Referendums, payoffs, dodgy deals - this spisode has it all!

Join Dave, David, Stuart and Rob as they continue to discuss Ally's time as boss.

Still can’t remember half these games! I must have met you Rob at some point around then as my work had an office in the same building as the Better Together campaign!

Stuart K

My anxiety listening to these gets worse and worse 😂😂

Never follow a game on the follow follow march thread ! Therein madness lies!

McGregor stated in an interview that zaliukas had mnd while at us. Going by reports he had been diagnosed before we signed him, as he was diagnosed in 2013 before he signed with us.

Thanks again for the Ally episode Dave, David, Rob & Stuart. Thanks for filling in more blanks for me lads - hey, I was there, lived through it, went every game. But it's all just one big blurry mess of shenanigans, shoddy performances, disappointment & despair rolled into one 'era'. Like Dave mentioned I cannot differentiate or recall these events into specific seasons, months, teams, players, even kits nevermind boards or chairmen, they just all get mixed up or 'forgotten' - presumably in some sort of mental self preservation! It's good to go through these times, discuss & reflect and try to understand.

It still irks that I couldn't celebrate the referendum win. I hope never to experience another campaign. It was a horrible divisive time in Scotland's history. Praise Jesus we won

Well done, guys. September 2014 was the month I got married. I was on honeymoon in Barbados when we beat Raith and Inverness and the night of the referendum - such a happy night😀. I remember the Alloa game suffering from horrendous jet lag - the result didn’t help! I recall Hearts being unstoppable that season. When we lost at Tynecastle in November I gave up all hope of automatic promotion. Hearts had avoided our fate since their creditors accepted a whopping write off (in the region of £30m). It rankles that people who claim to have not slept for a decade on account of Rangers’ facepainter seem totally insouciant about the creditors of Hearts and many other Scottish clubs left out of pocket to the tune of millions. Another thing that grinds my gears - the myth that Hearts fans saved their club yet we “let our club die”. End of rant

But you can pick a random league game from 2004 and I can tell you what I had for breakfast that morning

I remember so little of this time - had some devastating personal circumstances and I remember events on & off the pitch providing some distraction at the time but little of it ended up really committed to memory. The programmes on this season in particular are proving to be quite cathartic to be honest - it’s been said on the show but so many issues of the previous couple of season all collided to serve up a horror show.
